Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!

Chapter 966: Jumping After Her

Chapter 966: Jumping After Her

This was her last chance for him. If Watt Bennet chose her, then she would have the courage to continue this marriage.

If Watt chose the Winslow Family, she would completely give up on him!

...

Watt made a decisive jump. A second after she fell into the water, he followed and plunged into the sea.

In the water, he held Summer Sutton’s falling body, struggling to swim with her toward the beach.

The surface of the sea was wavy at this time, the seawater rushing onto the beach. The way back to the shore was not so smooth, as the two were almost swept into the deep sea by the waves several times.

Watt’s leg was injured, and moving it was difficult. Swimming was a daunting task for him.

He seemed to be swimming with great effort, holding Summer. She could only feel the droplets on his face dripping onto her, unsure whether it was seawater or sweat.

His jaw was clenched, and even in the night, Summer could see the pallor on his face.

Summer didn’t know the actual condition of his leg injury, and seeing him like this made her heart sink.

Watt continued swimming toward the shore with her. That short distance took them at least half an hour to reach the beach.

Once they were on the beach, their bodies collapsed heavily into the soft sand, gasping for air in great gulps, Watt holding her tightly but staying silent for a long time.

Summer didn’t care about their dirty state, turning to embrace him tightly.

The two of them lay there by the sea, unsure how long they rested, until Marshall Quinn came by car to pick them up.

Watt was sent back to the villa, and after making a call to Alexander Winslow, he came quickly.

Summer, having drunk too much, was dizzy and was taken by Marshall to Morning Garden to change clothes and rest.

She didn’t know what Alexander was busy with when he arrived at Watt’s place.

After taking a shower, Summer sat in Morning Garden for a long time. Once her head felt clearer, she drove herself to Watt’s place.

By the time she arrived, Alexander had already left, and even Marshall was no longer there.

No caretakers stayed behind, and Watt’s complexion looked much better than before. Summer thought he should be okay.

Sitting down in his room, she looked up at him.

"Are you stupid?" Watt stared at her for a while, and after confirming she was uninjured, he softly scolded her.

Summer just sat silently.

"Your life is precious, don’t do such foolish things again." Watt reminded her once more.

Today, he was truly scared by Summer Sutton. Watching her falling into the water, his heart felt as if it had died; a feeling deeper than his own past severe accident.

"I understand," Summer nodded obediently.

Watt didn’t talk about his injuries; he just patted the spot beside him.

Summer obediently moved over and sat beside him.

"Rest a bit." He seemed a bit tired, wrapping one arm around her shoulder and closing his eyes quietly.

He remained seated, with no intention of lying down.

Summer didn’t dare to get on the bed and squeeze with him, fearing it might hurt his leg.

Wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his chest, her heart pounded rapidly, "Actually, I knew you would definitely jump in."

Watt kept his eyes closed and stayed silent.

She knew he would follow her jump, but did she know the risk if he had been a step late?
