Chapter 965: I Only Want to Hear You Say You Love Me
Chapter 965: I Only Want to Hear You Say You Love Me
Summer Sutton held her own glass and tilted her face back to drink it all.
It seemed like she was trying to bolster her courage, drinking two or three glasses in succession.
Adrian Walyon was aware of her tolerance for alcohol and feared she might overdo it. He wanted to stop her, but Summer Sutton slowly stood up.
The corners of her lips curved into a smile, bright in the night like the fleeting bloom of a flower, yet indescribably bitter. "Adrian Walyon, I want to know, do you still love me?"
She no longer called him Watt, but Adrian Walyon.
Watt stared at her stiffly, saying nothing.
Summer Sutton stepped back two steps, arriving at the railing.
The sea breeze gently blew, brushing her face and tousling her hair, her red lips appearing even more enchanting in the night.
"If you love me, I want you to choose between me and the Winslow Family. Will you agree?"
After a pause, she suddenly added, "If you don’t love me, then I’ll jump from here!"
She spoke decisively, and Watt’s eyes widened in shock, seemingly unable to believe what he had heard.
"Answer me!" Summer Sutton raised her voice.
What she was actually asking was not for him to choose between her and the Winslow Family; she wanted him to acknowledge his identity and return to her side!
Summer Sutton was actually gambling, forcing him to admit his love for her. She didn’t believe Watt would watch her jump into the sea with open eyes.
Watt lowered his gaze, seemingly struggling with something.
His silence lasted too long, causing the expression on Summer Sutton’s face to gradually solidify.
"You are no longer the man you were." The corners of her lips twitched with sarcasm, her heart even more bitter. "The old Adrian Walyon was buried at sea along with that accident."
"Summer..." Watt’s lips moved, his voice a bit hoarse.
Before he could say anything, Summer Sutton suddenly turned, climbing onto the railing.
Then, in Watt’s terrified gaze, the hand holding the railing released, her body falling straight toward the sea—
She said she’d jump, and she really jumped, without a moment’s hesitation, decisively and directly.
At that moment, she was drunk, two to three glasses of alcohol were enough to make her intoxicated with her tolerance.
In such a state, falling into the sea, the consequences were obvious.
She was risking her life!
All to force Watt to admit he loves her!
As a woman who once cherished her life so much, she could face life and death so calmly when it came to him.
Watching her body fall into the sea at that moment, Watt’s heartbeat almost stopped instantly.
"Summer—" A heart-wrenching voice echoed over the sea as Watt’s body lunged toward where Summer Sutton fell, trying to catch her but just a step too late.
Summer Sutton’s body fell straight into the sea.
Thunk!
A huge splash echoed over the sea, and upon falling, she didn’t struggle at all, submerging straight into the seawater.
Watt’s mind didn’t even have time to process anything. As Summer Sutton’s body sank into the sea, there was immediately another splash, and Watt’s body followed into the sea.
The area where the restaurant was located had shallow waters; Summer Sutton had assessed the safety before jumping.
She loved Adrian Walyon, but as long as he was alive, she wouldn’t be foolish enough to disregard her own life.
If she were gone, how would she continue to love him?
Summer Sutton wasn’t gambling her life; she was gambling with Watt’s heart!
