Ryan stood there, staring at the system window.
He still couldn’t process the fact that he had finally reached S-rank.
Beatrice stepped up beside him.
"That boss was a bit annoying. Did you manage to level up?" She spoke while leaning forward, turning her head to look at him with a calm smile.
Ryan nodded, and before he could utter a single word.
The system window changed in front of him.

Ryan turned back toward the Hydra, which was now fading away.
Once it vanished completely.
A box remained in the exact same spot where the Hydra’s body had been.
"What’s that?" Beatrice asked, still standing by Ryan’s side.
"Well, an epic item. Let’s see what’s inside."
’Despite my luck, we haven’t gotten anything I actually want to use. We’re just getting flooded with scrolls.’
Ryan walked over to the box and picked it up with both hands.
Beatrice leaned in close, her face full of curiosity.
"I love the feeling of not knowing what’s going to come out of the box, hee hee."
"You’re acting like a little girl," Ryan said with a teasing tone as he activated the box.
When it activated, it floated a few inches above Ryan’s hands. Then it disappeared.
It dropped into his hands what looked like a pair of bracers, each connected by chains to a ring with a small, glowing violet gem in the center.
Ryan looked at the gem and then found himself staring at Beatrice’s face.
’It’s the same color as her eyes.’
"But what use is that? Is it really epic?"
"Let me check."
Ryan held the bracer up in front of his face.
"Analyze."
Ryan began to recite all the object’s characteristics out loud.

He took Beatrice’s hand and gave her the bracers.
"I think these will be of more use to you. You fit the assassin role perfectly." He smiled as he gave them to her.
"What? Can I really keep them? They’re epic, and you don’t even have a weapon like that yet... I don’t think I should accept them."
’She says that, but she looks like an excited child looking at them. Of course she wants them.’
Ryan sighed.
"Go on, take them. If at least you can have an epic item, I’ll be satisfied. I’m already S-rank; that was my initial goal."
Beatrice took the bracers with excitement and put them on, placing the rings connected to the bracers on her middle fingers on both hands.
She began to jump and move from one side to the other.

Ryan began to laugh, seeing her so happy with that new weapon.

Another box appeared in front of him.
He took it.
