S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill

Chapter 75: Debt 75 - The Final Boss and a New Rank

Chapter 75: Debt 75 - The Final Boss and a New Rank

Finally, Ryan had managed to make his way back into the dungeon.

Now, he stood before the very first epic item he had ever obtained.

When he uttered the words of his skill, they were instantly engraved as symbols upon the surface of the bracelet.

"Can you use stealth?" Ryan asked.

"Yes..." After she spoke, Beatrice vanished right before his eyes, a familiar sight whenever she used that skill.

"Alright, it seems I can’t see or hear you. Stay like that for a moment."

Ryan placed the bracelet on his left hand.

Almost immediately, he felt the bracelet tighten against his skin, and the engraved letters glowed for a few seconds. He also felt his vision sharpen significantly.

He closed his eyes for a brief second.

Upon opening them, Beatrice was standing right in front of him.

But her silhouette appeared translucent. It was almost as if the opacity of an image in a photo editing program had been lowered—at least a forty percent reduction in opacity.

Beatrice was staring directly at him, standing so close to his face it was as if she intended to kiss him.

"What are you doing?" Ryan asked.

"So you can see me?"

"That’s right. It seems it works..."

"Wow, that’s very interesting. Will it be active all the time from now on?"

Ryan took Beatrice by her chin.

"At least that’s what I intend. I hope it works well from here on out; in any case, it will save us from a lot of trouble."

He let go of Beatrice’s face, and she deactivated her stealth.

So they continued moving forward, fighting as they went.

Clearing every floor of the dungeon one by one.

Ryan never stopped casting spells on Beatrice, and in turn, he continued to accumulate more experience and points for his statistics.

From floor 62 to floor 79, they received various weapons.

But they weren’t weapons that either of them actually wanted to use.

As they pressed on, Ryan began to think.

By this time, Helen, along with Mirian and Karol, would probably be making their way toward the dungeon.

Of course... assuming they actually wanted to reunite with Ryan.

’But I can’t blame them if they don’t show up, can I?’

Although that was a possibility, deep down, Ryan truly wished they would come.

"Ryan, watch out!" It was Beatrice’s voice that brought him back, as he had been standing still for a moment, lost in his thoughts.

He caught the flash of an incoming attack out of the corner of his eye.

A powerful gale struck, causing Ryan’s body to be obscured from view for a moment.

His hair and clothes were left in a complete mess.

There were numerous cuts on his arms, thighs, and face.

"Recovery," he uttered calmly.

"Hey, Ryan! Don’t get distracted like that, no matter how capable you are of healing yourself. Don’t underestimate any enemy," Beatrice grumbled.

She crossed her arms and looked at him from the corner of her eye.

"We’re on the eightieth floor, and it’s been clear to me for a long time how strong you are, but don’t go making me worry, okay?"

"Easy, easy. I was just thinking about something..."

Ryan threw his boomerang and sliced the boss in front of him in half.

[Level increased]

While the body of the boss dissipated.

Ryan walked over to Beatrice.

"I’ve already gone up many levels. I can’t believe how quickly you progress in an S-rank dungeon."

Ryan looked at the drop left behind by the boss.

"We only have twenty floors left," he said as he approached and picked up the item.

When he took it, he stood there observing it, then tucked it away in his inventory.

Beatrice stepped closer.

"Was it something useful?"

"Yes, and I think it will be very useful for you."

"Really?"

"You’ll see later. I’ll give it to you when we reach the hundredth floor."

Beatrice frowned for a moment, although it didn’t seem like disgust; rather, it was the face of someone who wasn’t expecting any kind of gift.

But then they left, moving as quickly as they possibly could. Ryan didn’t want to waste much more time than necessary, if it could be helped.

And finally, when they reached the hundredth floor.

They had to face a massive Hydra.

Five heads.

And each one attacked with a different element.

Fire.

Lightning.

Earth.

Curses.

Poison.

Beatrice was the first to feel the power of the curses.

Ryan had to empower her entire body and buff her once again with Mental Blow.

He activated the fire aura on the boomerang.

The two halves burned with an intense orange light.

The five heads of the hydra moved with no apparent coordination, but each one covered a different angle. Fire from the left. Lightning from above. Earth from below. Poison from the right flank. And the curses—those came from the central head, the largest one.

’It becomes annoying when they all attack at the same time.’

Ryan ran toward the right.

The poison head followed his movement and spat a dense cloud in his direction.

He jumped over it, spun in the air, and attacked directly at that head with the boomerang.

The Hydra’s blood was left on one half of the boomerang.

The head fell to one side, ripped clean from the neck.

But almost immediately, it began to regenerate.

’Pff, it had to be like that, didn’t it?’

Once again, its head sprouted from the stump within a matter of seconds.

Ryan landed and took two steps back, evaluating every movement.

From another of its heads, a bolt of lightning arrived from above without warning.

Ryan rolled to the left. The impact kicked up stones exactly where he had been standing.

"Ryan, the central head!" Beatrice shouted from behind.

He had already noticed.

The head of curses was the only one that hadn’t attacked since he started moving. It just followed him with its eyes. Waiting.

’It’s the one coordinating the others.’

"Physical Enhancement!"

His body illuminated briefly.

Ryan accelerated.

He dashed under the head of fire that lunged toward him, dodged the earth-bite that opened a crater in the ground to his right, and jumped onto the hydra’s neck, using one of the lowered heads as a springboard.

He reached the height of the central head.

The two halves of the boomerang were burning fiercely.

He crossed them with all the power he had.

The central head fell.

For a second, the other heads stopped.

Just for a second.

But it was enough.

"Fire Wall!"

The wall deployed, surrounding the severed neck, burning the stump before it could regenerate.

The flames bit into the flesh with intensity.

The hydra howled.

Its remaining heads thrashed about aimlessly, attacking the air, having lost the coordination they had before.

Beatrice seized the moment.

She materialized on top of one of the side heads and buried her dagger up to the hilt.

That head stopped moving.

Ryan didn’t wait any longer.

He jumped from head to head, crossing the boomerang with every strike, burning each stump with his fire aura before the regeneration could trigger.

One.

Two.

Three.

The last head attempted to spit fire directly into his face.

Ryan twisted his body in mid-air, letting the fire graze past his side, and brought both halves of the boomerang down upon it with all the strength he had left.

The massive body of the hydra shuddered once.

And then it went still.

Ryan landed on the fallen body of the hydra and stepped down to the ground.

Beatrice approached, wiping the blade of her dagger.

She looked at him for a moment in silence.

"Finally, we’re finished," Ryan said as he tucked the boomerang into his inventory.

Beatrice nodded her head.

And before he could think about anything else, the system window appeared before him.
