Chapter 152: Did Ian Sterling Sleep with Summer Nolan’s Biological Sister?!
Chapter 152: Did Ian Sterling Sleep with Summer Nolan’s Biological Sister?!
"Then can you give me an autograph?" Vivian asked again."Of course." Elias Spencer had just agreed, when Summer Nolan, who was escorting a client out, saw her sister standing with Elias, chatting and laughing as if they were very familiar with each other.
She frowned.
They should be meeting for the first time, right?
"Vivian... come over here, don’t just talk to anyone." She called out.
"Sis, I saw Attorney Spencer!" Vivian ran to her sister’s side, excitedly hugging her arm.
"Why are you so excited to see him? Do you like him?" Summer turned to look at her sister and asked.
"It’s just pure admiration, he’s good-looking, and he’s great in court. Now that you’re colleagues, have you two smoothed things over? You’re not arch-enemies anymore, are you?" She asked concernedly.
"You know that we’re arch-enemies, huh? Stay away from him, got it?" Summer tapped her sister’s forehead, advising her.
"Got it." Vivian responded obediently, but why did it seem like Attorney Spencer was looking at her sister with a bit of pity?
Elias Spencer walked over and handed the coffee to Summer: "I poured this for you... I didn’t drink it, just spilled a little earlier."
"No need, I can pour it myself." Summer turned around and returned to her office.
Looking at her indifferent back, Elias felt stuffy inside. Then he looked at her sister standing beside him, and suddenly realized...
Wasn’t she the woman who suddenly barged into Ian Sterling’s room last night and spent the night with him?
He was a bit shocked.
Ian slept with Summer’s sister?!!
"Attorney Spencer, what’s wrong? What are you thinking?" Vivian, noticing his expression changing from sadness to surprise, asked curiously.
Elias Spencer collected himself, calmed down, and kept the "deep-water bomb" hidden in his mind. He decided not to get involved in this mess, just to watch the show as a bystander.
Ian probably doesn’t know the relationship between Vivian and Summer yet, does he?
When he finds out, what expression will he have? He chose to sleep with her, it’s nothing to do with me.
"Ahem... it’s nothing, let’s go, to your sister’s office, too many people outside." He raised his eyebrows, turned around, and called to Summer’s assistant: "Go pour two cups of coffee."
"Yes." Chloe Chase responded, thinking, is Attorney Spencer trying to please Attorney Nolan now?
Sitting not far away, Iris Lynn also saw Attorney Spencer trying to please that woman earlier, a shadow crossed her face. Why is he trying to please her?
No, I can’t let them reconcile—
The two walked into the office, and Summer, seeing he came in too, asked, "Attorney Spencer, aren’t you busy with your own work? What are you doing here?"
"Just finished, came to see what you’re busy with." Elias Spencer, with a coffee cup in one hand and the other elegantly in his pocket, walked to her side and said.
"I’m not busy with anything, please leave and close the door." Summer, in a formal tone, told him.
"After dating for so long, this is the first time I’ve met your sister. I think we should get to know each other..." He said deliberately.
Summer frowned, glaring at him, who allowed him to say these things?
Standing in front of the desk, Vivian was very shocked, her eyes widened at him, then she looked at her sister. Are they in a relationship now?
Really or not?
"Sis, are you two a couple now? Hmph, why didn’t you tell me you’re dating? Am I still your sister?" She crossed her arms, asking unhappily.
"We broke up two years ago, what’s there to say." Summer said.
Vivian’s eyes widened again with surprise. She didn’t tell her she was dating, nor that she broke up? Looking at this man, he’s obviously very outstanding, why did they break up?
"However, we’re currently getting back together..." Elias Spencer said.
"Who wants to get back with you? Please, Attorney Spencer, leave." Summer stood up and pushed him out of the door, closing the office door.
She walked to the desk, looking at her sister and asked, "Where are you working part-time during this summer vacation?"
"Just, in a small jewelry design company, doing errands." Vivian coughed lightly, lying. She’s currently a well-known DJ in the circle, and her boss pays her quite well.
She had done part-time work at a company before, earning only a thousand a month, and others treated her like a servant, fearing she would learn something, completely shutting her out from design.
With her temperament, she couldn’t stand that treatment.
At that moment, the assistant brought in two cups of coffee, placed them on the desk, and then left.
Summer didn’t suspect her sister of doing anything else, picked up a coffee cup, took a sip, and asked concernedly, "Is it hard? Have you learned anything new?"
"Those designers are so harsh, treating me like a servant, just making tea and running errands every day, not giving me any opportunity to learn." She snorted coldly.
Hearing her sister’s words, Summer frowned and comforted her,
"Just consider it as a way to train yourself. In the workplace, you can’t avoid scheming and competing. Don’t worry about work; once you graduate, I’ll introduce you to a design company of someone I know."
"...Okay." Vivian responded perfunctorily.
"You’re not dating, are you?" Summer asked her sister again.
"No."
"Good, you’re still young. Focus on your studies, and once you graduate and have success in your career, then you can think about relationships. Don’t rely on a man to change your life; they’ll only be stumbling blocks on your path to success. Don’t become someone who’s blinded by love." She advised her sister again, fearing she might become desperate over a man.
Vivian went over, hugging her sister’s arm, and spoiled, said,
"Don’t worry, Sis, I’m definitely not blinded by love! By the way, is it true that you’ve got into The Summit Group’s core? Do you need me to do anything? I also want to contribute..."
"Just focus on your own stuff for now; no need for your help at the moment." Summer rubbed her head and said.
-
In the afternoon.
When Mrs. Nolan came back from the gym, she saw several maids standing at her door, with many bags of groceries next to them.
"You are...?"
"Hello, Mrs. Nolan. Mr. Spencer sent us to buy groceries from the supermarket and come over to help prepare dinner." The maids respectfully answered.
"Why did he ask you to come and make dinner?" Mrs. Nolan asked again, puzzled.
"He didn’t say, just asked us to prepare something nice for tonight."
Did he and her daughter reconcile and get close again? Mrs. Nolan didn’t reject her future son-in-law’s kind gesture, "Then come on in."
The maids went inside and began to bustle around.
Before leaving work, Summer received a call from Ian Sterling, inviting her out for dinner. She declined, saying she wanted to accompany her mother tonight.
Due to feeling guilty, Ian purchased a gift worth over a million, planning to give it to her tonight.
Vivian followed her sister into this upscale community, her excitement palpable as they previously lived in a much simpler area.
When they got to the door, she immediately said to her sister, "Sis, let me go in first, see if Mom can recognize me!"
