Chapter 148: The Woman Who Accidentally Barged In...

"Hmph, if I leave, you’re as good as dead tonight. That Summer has already left the restroom. In your condition now, where do you think you’ll find her?"Yara Grant indeed saw Summer Nolan exit, and it was not long ago.

"Get out!!!" Ian Sterling held his dizzy head, loathing her shouting.

Yara looked at him with a gloomy face, her eyes shifting as she lied, "Hmph, fine, I’ll leave. But just wait here for death by yourself!"

She got up from the ground and left the corridor, only to stop at the corner. Why fight him now? Wouldn’t it be easier to take him upstairs once he’s completely lost his senses?

Time passed slowly, Ian’s eyes reddened, his body swayed uncontrollably, one hand on the wall. When exactly would Summer come out?

Had she really left already?

Seeing Ian on the verge of collapse, Yara quickly approached and, imitating the vixen’s tone, called out to him:

"Mr. Sterling, what’s wrong? Why are you here?"

Ian could no longer recognize if it was Summer’s voice, only vaguely feeling it was her. He grabbed her shoulder and urgently asked:

"Are you Summer?"

"...Yes, I’m Summer. You’re hurting me. Are you not feeling well? Should I take you to the hospital?" Yara pretended to ask seriously.

"Can... can you take me to a guest room?" He suddenly pulled her into his arms. If he had to be with a woman tonight, he hoped it would be Summer.

"Alright." Yara smirked and helped him leave.

At the outside party, Elias Spencer, who had been watching the restroom direction, saw Yara supporting Ian over, and quickly grabbed Summer’s hand, leading her away:

"Come, I’ll introduce you to someone."

Summer pulled her hand away in frustration, "Stop pulling me. I don’t want Ian to see me."

Elias’s face darkened a bit hearing her, but he stubbornly held her hand, pulling her to a secluded spot before letting go.

"You’ve really fallen for him?"

"...Is it fake then? He wouldn’t be like you, helping other women bully the person he claims to like. Just for that, he’s better than you." Summer chuckled.

Elias frowned, holding her hand, took a while before speaking solemnly, "I will never do that again..."

"If it were someone else, I might believe it, but coming from Attorney Spencer, no way." Summer laughed, letting go of his hand. Besides Iris, all he cared about was winning and losing, right and wrong.

He was a workaholic, a logic freak.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t always be fighting with her to the death.

"From now on, we’re just colleagues. I hope Attorney Spencer remembers that." Summer told him.

Elias didn’t respond, his gaze shifting to where Ian was being led away by Yara. It wasn’t his fault, it was that stubborn girl who sought him out.

After Ian was taken into the guest room, Yara hurriedly helped him onto the bed and excitedly called out:

"Brother Ian, let me help you undress... want to shower together?"

Brother Ian? The woman beside him wasn’t Summer, but Yara? Ian silently gritted his teeth. Even if he had to sleep with a stranger, he wouldn’t sleep with her—

If she got attached, he’d never have the chance to be with Summer again.

"Come here and sit down."

"Hold on, the guest room door is still open." As she planned to close the door, he suddenly yanked her onto his lap. Yara clung to his neck, excited:

"Brother Ian, you’re so bad... but I like it..."

She eagerly began kissing his neck, forgetting the door entirely. The next moment, Ian chopped her neck with a heavy hand:

"Pow!!!"

Yara didn’t even have time to get angry before passing out. Ian, furious at this woman for daring to plot against him, tossed her out into the hallway.

Even if bad people took her away, she’d deserve it!

He leaned against the doorframe, shaking his dizzy head, and reached into his pocket to call Summer, only to find his phone missing.

Just then, a frail, swaying figure ran towards him from a distance. Seeing him, she suddenly shoved him inside strongly: The most update n0vels are published on novel•fire.net

"Get in quickly!"

Both, as drunken as if intoxicated, tumbled to the ground. The woman’s long legs flicked the door shut!

The guest room door closed with a ’bang!’, echoing with the hotel’s distinct acoustics.

The two, both drugged, already severely dizzy, became even more disoriented after the fall.

Before they could catch their breath, a large, fierce group of men, faces contorted, charged down the hallway outside.

"Where did that brat run off to? How did she disappear so quickly?" One man barked outside.

"The woman on the floor, was she knocked out by her? Wake her up and ask!" Another man immediately approached the unconscious Yara, slapping her face harshly:

"Slap! Slap! Slap! Wake up for the boss...!"

"She’s already out cold, and you’re slapping her so hard. Do you really think she’ll wake up? Knock on the doors near here to see if she’s hiding inside.

If we don’t catch her tonight, Boss Grant will definitely punish us." One man said gravely, gesturing to his companions, and they all began knocking on doors.

Including Ian’s guest room.

"Bang bang bang...! Open up! Open the door now, I know someone’s inside! If you don’t open, don’t blame us for breaking in!"

The bodyguard glanced inside through the door gap, loudly demanding with a bad attitude.

The woman was nervous, her heart in her throat. If the bodyguards caught her, who knew what kind of torture awaited her?

That lecher Boss Grant repeatedly tried to hit on her. Soft approaches didn’t work, so this time he drugged her drink.

She cracked his pervy head open with the bottle, and now his bodyguards were relentless in their pursuit.

Sprawled over the man, she clamped a hand over his mouth, whispering urgently: "Don’t make a sound, or I’ll kill you!"

Ian looked at the blurred silhouette of the woman on top of him, she seemed so much like Summer! Was he seeing things?

"Bang bang! Open the door! You looking to die?" The bodyguards shouted angrily from outside.

Ian threw a glance at the harassed door, annoyed, and yanked her hand away, asking, "Which Arthur Grant did you offend?"

"What does that have to do with you?" She sneered after a glance at him.

"You’re in my guest room now, implicating me. How is it unrelated? Stop the crap, tell me who is it?" He asked in a stern voice.

"Bang bang bang! You have three seconds, if you don’t open the door, when we bust in, you’re dead!" The men outside grew impatient, eager to break in and beat whoever was inside.

The woman frowned hearing the words, but she still told the man beneath her, "...Arthur Grant."

Arthur Grant? Yara’s father? Did those bodyguards just slap that woman several times? Didn’t even recognize their own princess?
