Chapter 145: House Tour On Stream (1)
<🎧 Song Recommendation: Earth by Lil Dicky>
...
Max looked confused at the sudden demand from the viewers. He looked down at himself, taking in the tight black-and-white frills gripping his biceps and the ridiculous little lace apron tied awkwardly around his waist.
"So... You want me to walk around the house while dressed like this?"
"Of course," Von said with a smirk. "Not just me, everyone is cheering you on."
Max’s Tock stream, which had been sitting at just over 3,000 viewers before Von walked into the kitchen, had already climbed all the way to 80,000 viewers and the count was steadily increasing by the second. And Max didn’t want to destroy the momentum himself.
"Fine," Max groaned, letting his arms drop in defeat. He snatched his smartphone from Von’s hand and reattached it to his selfie stick.
"Lead the way, boss," Von laughed, pushing himself off the counter to follow a few steps behind.
Max turned the camera around to face himself. He took a deep breath and plastered on a fake, overly enthusiastic smile that instantly had the chat rolling in tears.
"Welcome, chat, to my humble abode," Max narrated with sarcasm as he strutted out of the spotless kitchen and stepped into the grand hallway.
"As you can see, I prefer a minimalist aesthetic. Notice how expensive everything is looking. I don’t even know how much they cost because I never cared to know," Max grinned arrogantly into the phone as he spoke.
[sobersombr: Bro’s really committing to the bit 😭]
[Ammaquitsoon: Maid Max showing off his castle!]
[livinTEXAS: The fact that Von is just following him like a bodyguard LMAO]
Von trailed behind him, sipping from a bottle of water he had just grabbed from the kitchen refrigerator.
They moved out of the hallway and stepped into the main living room. The space was incredibly vast.
The ceiling stretched high above them, featuring a breathtaking modern chandelier. But the most prominent feature in the room wasn’t the custom furniture or the architecture; it was the massive, hyper-realistic painting hanging proudly above the marble mantle of the fireplace.
Max panned the camera up to capture the artwork. The chat immediately recognized the style and the scale of the piece.
[theresTime: woww, isn’t that the painting Von bought at that auction? 🤯]
[Policepooper: Yess, it’s it! I gotta admit it’s out of this world. Totally worth every cent of that 15k you bid]
Von caught sight of the comments as he walked past Max’s shoulder. He let out a warm laugh.
"Yup, my sister is a great artist," Von said with genuine pride, confirming that the masterpiece they were staring at was Naomi’s handiwork.
"Yeah, you should also be grateful I’m letting you hang it in my living room," Max said with an exaggerated yawn that made him look even more hilarious in the frilly maid outfit.
"Haha, you’re the best boss ever. This guest is grateful," Von said with a laugh, playing along perfectly before following behind Max, who had already continued walking forward.
"Moving on from the artwork," Max announced, turning the camera to the other side of the expansive room. "Over here is the entertainment center."
Max showed off the massive eighty-five-inch flat-screen TV mounted flush against a custom wood-paneled wall, completely surrounded by a hidden, high-end surround sound system. He then walked toward a glass room tucked neatly under the sweeping staircase.
"This is the wine cellar," Max narrated, tapping glass. "Filled with vintage bottles I can’t even pronounce."
"I don’t even drink," Von added from the background, recalling the one time drank and ended up in jail that night.
"It’s not yours. Let me be bro," Max grumbled to the chat. He showed off a few more features in the living room, including the custom remote-controlled blinds and the plush sectionals, before turning toward the back of the house.
"I think Naomi is in the backyard. Let’s go there."
Max pushed open the glass doors and stepped into the Florida sun.
The backyard of the Pinecrest estate was a paradise.
The infinity pool shimmered under the afternoon su. The bright grass stretched out perfectly, complementing the luxurious shaded lounge area and the fully equipped outdoor kitchen.
There was even plenty of open space off to the side to put something like a tennis table or a basketball hoop. Further back, on the opposite side of the massive property, sat the guest house which had been transformed into the staff wing.
Max walked toward the shaded cabana area, pointing the camera ahead to capture the scene.
Naomi was standing quietly under the shade, wearing an oversized, paint-splattered t-shirt that had seen better days.
She had a palette in one hand and a fine-tipped brush in the other, completely focused on a massive canvas propped up on a sturdy wooden easel.
"We’ve got the resident artist hard at work," Max announced loudly, walking up to the cabana. "Naomi, say hi to the internet. We’ve got ninety thousand people watching!"
Naomi jumped slightly, turning around with a smudge of blue paint on her cheek. She blinked at the camera, then looked at Max’s outfit and burst into a fit of giggles.
"What are you wearing?!" she laughed, covering her mouth with her free hand before looking over at Von, who stood off to the side with a wicked grin.
"It’s his punishment," Von said simply, stepping forward and patting Max’s head to assert his dominance and hilariously show off their height difference.
Max swatted Von’s hand away, his face turning red. "What are you painting?" Max asked, desperately trying to change the topic with a heavy sigh.
Naomi proudly stepped aside, turning the wooden easel slightly so the massive canvas faced the camera directly.
It was a breathtaking landscape of the Miami shoreline. She had painted a row of tall palm trees, but what made the piece truly special was the lighting.
Naomi had perfectly captured the exact moment of golden hour. The vibrant oranges, pinks, and deep purples of the sunset reflected flawlessly off the painted water, giving the entire canvas a warm, hyper-realistic glow that made it look like a photograph.
The Tock chat went absolutely crazy over the reveal.
[ArtLover22: Whoa she’s actually so talented! This is gorgeous!! 🫦]
[gameFanatic: W Sister!]
[JustHereForV: That belongs in a museum fr 😍💗]
"Thanks guys," Naomi smiled brightly at the flood of praises she was getting on the screen. She waved happily at the camera before turning back to her brushes, eager to finish the detailing on the water.
Max kept walking past the cabana, turning the camera away from the easel and pointing it toward the pool to show off the water. But as he framed the shot, he suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
Emily was emerging from the deep end of the pool.
She was wearing a black two-piece bikini that clung perfectly to her curves as she pulled herself out of the water. Her short white hair was slicked back and looked really smooth, completely contrasting against her usual strict vibe.
Drops of water fell down her skin as she reached for a towel resting on one of the lounge chairs.
"Gyat..." Max whispered breathlessly, forgetting he was holding a live broadcast.
[maxStanofficial: GYATTTTT!]
[Musicleaksweekly: WAIT IS THAT THE MANAGER?!]
[VonssOnlyWife: I OWE YOU AN APOLOGY EMILY, I WASN’T FAMILIAR WITH YOUR GAME 🥴😮💨]
Realizing his mistake, Max quickly lowered the phone, pointing the lens down at the stone pavers and leaning back so Emily couldn’t hear him, but making sure the microphone was still close enough so the stream could catch his words.
"Bro, can I marry your manager? I’m gonna risk it all."
"If you want to end up in a full-body cast by the end of the day, go for it," Von replied with a laugh.
There was a massive flood of crying-laughing emojis from the chat, but by then, Emily had already noticed them.
She wiped the excess water from her eyes with the edge of her towel and looked over at them.
The brief, relaxed expression she had while swimming vanished immediately, replaced by her usual glare.
She took in the phone mounted on the selfie stick. Then, her sharp eyes slowly dragged up and down, looking at Max’s ridiculous outfit.
"Are you broadcasting us live right now? And why the hell are you dressed like a maid?"
Von couldn’t hold it in anymore. He let out another laugh and stepped forward to come to Max’s rescue.
"Heyy, don’t speak to the boss that way," Von scolded, gesturing to Max and apologizing on her behalf.
"He loves dressing up this way. Allow him to pursue his kinks."
Emily stared at Max for a moment before letting out a laugh after sensing exactly what was going on.
"Well, as long as it’s doing you good, you both can carry on," Emily said dismissively, turning around to dry her hair with the towel.
Max was still completely embarrassed by Emily’s initial questioning, and Von’s sarcastic answer definitely didn’t help him at all.
He grumbled before turning around in embarrassment.
"We’re done here, goodbye!" Max yelled, practically running back toward the doors to escape into the safety of the house, with Von following closely behind him, still laughing.
[DefenseOfTitans: SHE TERRIFIED HIM LMAO]
"Alright, chat, moving on," Max wheezed, speed-walking down the air-conditioned hallway to put as much distance between himself and the pool as possible.
Max finally slowed down and caught his breath. He adjusted his grip on the selfie stick and turned the camera back to his face, making sure the frilly lace of his maid apron was still sitting right.
"Now..."
