Chapter 225 - 200: God Creation Plan, Forging a True God in the Furnace of the Great Trend (Part 1)

Ignoring the chaotic members of the Li Mountain Association, Yi Beidou strode directly toward the fully armed soldiers cordoning off the edge of the plaza.

RATTLE! RATTLE!

Seeing Yi Beidou approach, the soldiers reacted almost instinctively, one after another raising their firearms.

"Steady! Steady!"

The commander on site felt his hair stand on end when he saw what was happening.

They had only been ordered to maintain order at the scene. Their superiors had given no instructions to intercept or annihilate Yi Beidou.

His men didn’t have what it took to deal with this monster.

If someone accidentally discharged their weapon, he couldn’t even begin to imagine the consequences.

The Great Demon King before them was not someone who could be dealt with by the light firearms in their hands.

If they provoked him, with so many civilians present, the scene would truly become a river of blood.

"Clear a path..."

The commander immediately turned to clear a path through the crowd of onlookers. But he didn’t even need to speak. The moment they saw Yi Beidou walking in their direction, the crowd had already parted, creating a ten-meter-wide path in the blink of an eye.

Previously, "Great Demon King" had just been a playful online moniker. But after witnessing the battle firsthand, his ferocious aura, capable of slaying even Deities; his seemingly indestructible body; and his near-invincible presence had deeply branded the word "demon" into everyone’s hearts.

No one would ever question the title again.

As Yi Beidou walked through the crowd, the aura from the battle had yet to fully recede. Some tried to secretly get a better look at him, but for reasons they couldn’t explain, the moment they raised their eyes, their very souls trembled, and they couldn’t help but lower their heads.

This created a remarkable scene.

As Yi Beidou strode past, the entire crowd bowed their heads. This was not how one treated an invader; it was how one treated a god.

Wherever he passed, all mortals bowed their heads.

Only the cameras, devoid of such complex emotions, captured the scene in its entirety. The footage spread rapidly across the internet and through various livestreams.

Many online users took screenshots of the scene, turning the image into a so-called "World-Famous Painting."

"One man to conquer a nation. ’Wherever I walk, all mortals shall bow their heads.’ Oh man, I feel my blood boiling just thinking about it!"

"I’m in awe. I’m truly in awe. In the thousands of years of human history, has there ever been an individual like this? I’m going to learn Donghua Martial Arts!"

"Unbelievable. How can a human being become this powerful? Why is Yi Beidou from Donghua, and not one of us Europeans?"

"There’s factual evidence proving Yi Beidou must have Goryeo blood."

"..."

The post ignited a firestorm on international forums. This time, not even the Western media could completely suppress the news. As a result, the name Yi Beidou became known not just in Japan and his home country, but to the public in many foreign nations as well.

"Damn it! What a bunch of spineless cowards! He’s an invader! You actually bowed to an invader? What a disgrace! Everyone there should commit seppuku!"

"Who can defeat him?! Where are the Martial Saints of our Yamato Race?! Where did they all go?"

"You bastards! You weren’t there, so it’s easy for you to talk! You think we didn’t want to look up? You have no idea how terrifying his presence is! He’s not human—he’s a true demon! No one can defeat him!"

"..."

The Japanese internet erupted into furious debate over Guan Shan Dayou’s defeat and the birth of the "World-Famous Painting."

After leaving the plaza, Yi Beidou didn’t use his Demon Flame to conceal himself. Instead, he simply walked along the streets of Japan, drawing the attention and gossip of countless passersby and even bringing local traffic to a brief standstill.

Yi Beidou paid it no mind, continuing his calm stroll as if all the rules of modern society were irrelevant to him.

The terrifying aura that naturally enveloped him was enough to ensure his path remained clear. Besides, Japanese armed personnel were following him to maintain order, so no one dared to make a rash move.

Soon, Yi Beidou arrived at what looked like a street food alley and stopped in front of a ramen shop.

"Jumbo Bowl Ramen—Glutton’s Challenge! Finish this bowl in ten minutes and your entire meal is on the house!"

An eye-catching sign stood in front of the ramen shop, covered in promotional slogans written in an exaggerated tone and accompanied by pictures.

’This kind of promotion is common in Donghua; I hadn’t expected to see it in Japan as well.’

’I don’t know how many more battles are ahead. I should replenish my Physical Ability when I can.’

With that thought, Yi Beidou stepped into the ramen shop and, under the stunned gazes of the other patrons, took an empty seat.

Many of the customers were still scrolling through news about the incident at Tokyo Station on their phones, and a series of clattering sounds followed as chopsticks fell from their hands.

’The... The Great Demon King is right in front of me?!’

"Proprietor, I’ll have one of those challenge meals from your sign," Yi Beidou said to the ramen shop owner.

"Huh?! Ah! Yes! Right away!"

The owner cautiously glanced at the armed soldiers standing at attention outside, gulped, and felt his hands begin to tremble.

’What the hell, why am I so unlucky? There are so many shops on this street. Why did this Great Demon King have to walk into mine?’

’Don’t tell me a firefight is going to break out in here. I haven’t even finished paying off the loan for this place!’

The ramen shop owner wailed internally, but then a new thought struck him. ’Maybe this is a good thing?’

’The Great Demon King appeared in my ramen shop?’

’Great Demon King Donghua himself loves my ramen?’

’If I hang a sign about this out front, won’t my shop become famous?’

At this thought, the owner couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear. He decided to let the man eat his fill, and hopefully, he might even be allowed to take a few pictures.

’As for the fate of the nation?’

’What the hell does that have to do with me? I’ll start caring about that stuff when someone offers to pay off my loan.’

Outside the ramen shop, circles of people had gathered, all murmuring amongst themselves.

The owner’s guess was correct. His ramen shop became an instant sensation, as countless cameras were now pointed at his storefront, broadcasting the scene live to the internet.

Just as the crowd was buzzing with discussion, a commotion erupted from beyond the throng—a series of synchronized shouts accompanied by the sounds of gongs, drums, and other instruments.

The crowd, perplexed, looked toward the source of the commotion and parted to form a path.

From the other end of the street, several burly men in traditional Japanese attire carried a distinctly Japanese-style palanquin, or *kago*. They advanced with strange, rhythmic steps, moving in time with the music played by accompanying musicians, carrying the palanquin toward the ramen shop.

The entire procession had the unique and distinct flavor of a traditional Japanese ceremony.

’What’s going on?’

The onlookers exchanged confused glances, unsure of what to make of the situation.

Soon, the men arrived in front of the ramen shop and set the *kago* down.

"My lord, please descend from your palanquin!"

The lead bearer half-knelt on the ground and spoke in a sing-song tone, then reached out to open the palanquin’s door.

In the dead silence, the crowd stared, dumbfounded. What emerged from the palanquin was not a person, nor any physical entity at all. It was a grotesque phantom, only half the height of a man, with a green face, long fangs, and a single, solitary eye.

The eerie feeling was hard to describe, like suddenly witnessing a monster from folklore manifest in the real world.

This was something that simply shouldn’t exist in reality!

People rubbed their eyes, but the phantom remained, as real as could be.

After exiting the palanquin, the cyclops phantom swayed toward the ramen shop. It didn’t push the door but instead seemed to possess the ability to phase through walls, passing directly through the entrance and into the shop. Under a sea of dumbfounded stares, it came to a stop before Yi Beidou.

"I invite you to the Heaven-Reaching Lodge for a discussion. Do you dare?"

The single-eyed, green-faced, fanged phantom emitted a strange sound. It was not like human speech, but rather a voice that resounded directly in everyone’s minds.

"Ghostly tricks. After I finish this bowl of ramen, I’ll come see what you’re capable of."

Yi Beidou’s expression was calm, devoid of any surprise.

The Demon Flame in his palm instantly ignited. With a flick of his finger, a ball of Demon Flame shot out like a bullet, instantly piercing through the body of the green-faced, fanged phantom.

The next moment.

POP!

Roasted by the Demon Flame, the phantom abruptly exploded, dissolving into motes of light and vanishing without a trace.
