Chapter 150 150: Ch 150: Get Discovered
Once the message was sent, the trio could only wait to see how long it would take to get a reply. Thankfully, the puppet would not be able to betray them because of the contract.
So for the remainder of the time they had, the trio decided to look around the room they were in.
There were a lot of shiny weapons around, but most of them looked like they would be a hassle to fight with. Besides, Andrew did not know whether it would be fine to take a weapon from here or not, so he did not try.
"Hmm, this training room feels so weird. I wonder how they train here?"
Seraphina asked in a curious voice, but she was not actually curious about the training. Unfortunately for her, her wish came true too quickly without her wanting it to.
Footsteps headed toward their room, and Andrew's sharp ears picked them up.
"Everyone, hide now."
He told the other two, and they ducked behind the cabinets to hide their bodies as the door opened. Two half-dragons walked into the room and stood in the middle of it.
"Ugh, what a tiresome day. All I want to do is fight this tension out of my body. Are you ready for a good time?"
The first half-dragon asked the second one.
"Of course. I was born ready to do such a thing. Come at me now. Show me all of your power, and I will crush you as well using my own power."
The second half-dragon replied after he flexed his claws to get rid of the tension building up inside him.
They clashed, and without the system holding them back, their power created a loud explosion that shook the room.
But that was only the beginning. The two half-dragons kept going, and the room kept absorbing the impacts.
Meanwhile, Andrew and the others kept themselves hidden so that they would not be caught in this fight. There was no guarantee that they would come out of it alive.
[Half-dragon (lvl 99)]
[Half-dragon (lvl 102)]
Those two were too high-leveled for Andrew or any human to take on at the moment. So the only thing they could do for now was wait for them to finish. But the longer they waited, the more heated this fight became.
And there seemed to be no end to this training session in sight.
"Ugh, how long will they fight for anyway? Maybe we can crawl past them in order to get out of here?"
Seraphina questioned as she looked out from her hiding spot. But even she knew that it was not possible for her to do that.
Just when the trio started plotting what to do next, the door to the training ground opened, and the two half-dragons stopped fighting to see who had entered.
"What the-! Oh, it's a puppet."
"What are you doing here? Are you here to join us?"
The half-dragon questioned with a smile on his face. He looked ready to fight the puppet should she show any signs of wanting to fight.
But the puppet only sighed as she gave the pair in front of her a disgusted look.
"I am not here to fight. But I do have a mission for you both to do. Since it involves a fight, I figured you both would be the best people to ask this of."
The puppet knew how to manipulate the half-dragons well. As soon as she said they were needed for a fight, they became curious and looked at her with interested glances.
"A fight? Finally-! I was itching to have one for such a long time. Tell me what we need to do."
The first half-dragon exclaimed with an excited expression, and the second one nodded.
"I would like to know as well. I bet I will be better than this fool."
"You think so? I will crush you. Just you wait and see-!"
The two half-dragons got competitive and left the room before they even heard the details. The puppet sighed before she looked at the hiding spot where Andrew and the others were.
"You can come out now. We need to get out of here before those fools come back."
She reminded the pair in front of her, and they nodded before they crawled out of the space and followed the puppet back to a safe area.
Once they were safe, the puppet offered them a seat, but everyone declined.
"Can you tell us why we ended up in that store with you nowhere to be seen? Thankfully, there were disguises present. But it felt a little odd…"
Seraphina questioned with a calm look on her face.
The puppet gave her a cold look back and debated whether she wanted to tell these kids the truth or not.
But in the end, she decided that it would be worth it for her to tell the humans a little bit more.
"I have no idea why the summoning went that way. As far as I can tell, nothing went wrong. I can only assume that it was a system decision. Not that it matters, because nothing happened."
She pointed out, and the other three nodded with uneasy looks on their faces.
Nothing had happened to them…this time. But that did not mean that this was something they wanted to repeat.
"Alright, so what are we going to do next? You told us that you will take us to access the system's inner core. So lead the way."
Andrew reminded the female, and she nodded.
"Of course. Please follow me. I will take you to the inner core right now."
The trio followed after her with their masks. The route they took was empty, and yet Andrew could not help but feel like someone was keeping an eye on him.
He looked around but saw nothing of significance.
"Andrew, are you alright?"
Seraphina asked as she noticed his uneasiness as well. But Andrew just shook his head.
"It's fine. I thought I noticed something, but it must have been my own delusion."
