Rebirth of the Super Battleship

Chapter 811: Total Annihilation

Chapter 811: Total Annihilation

The entire Guardian Alliance had already disintegrated under Xiao Yu’s strikes. By now, at least eight Level 6 civilizations and nearly two hundred million warships had escaped from this small universe. As for the other lower-level civilizations that had fled, they were simply too many to count. Xiao Yu paid them no attention at all.

Xiao Yu had only one target, and that was the Guardian Civilization itself. The Guardian Civilization had completely fallen into chaos and lost all semblance of order. Xiao Yu lost interest in continuing to wait for the rescuer and launched his final attack.

Xiao Yu’s attack was simple and brutal. He had no interest in approaching the Guardian Civilization’s inhabited planets at all, and instead launched a remote assault. These attacks did not target any cities, settlements, military bases, or the like, but were fired directly at the planets themselves. Xiao Yu’s thinking was very simple, destroy the planets, and the enemy would naturally be wiped out.

This place truly became an apocalypse. The first things Xiao Yu destroyed were the stars where the Guardian Civilization was stationed. A little more than twenty stars exploded outright under the bombardment of the stellar cannons, ending their life cycles in the most violent way possible. Before the explosive energy of these stars could even spread to the orbiting planets, Xiao Yu’s attacks had already reached those planets in advance.

The planetary shields shattered like eggshells, and terrifying space-slicing attacks struck directly at the planetary crusts. With just a single space-slicing strike, a gigantic chasm was blasted into the target planet, over one thousand kilometers deep and several thousand kilometers across. The planet’s geology was severely damaged, and a massive number of volcanoes and earthquakes began to erupt.

Thick smoke rolled upward, endless dust shrouded the entire sky, and even the sturdy skyscrapers built with Level 6 civilization technology could not withstand the destruction caused by the planet’s own geological upheavals. Countless buildings collapsed.

But this was only the beginning. After the Star-Class battleship unleashed its fatal blow, the attacks from countless small spaceships followed in its wake. Densely packed space rifts wove together into a vast net. As that net swept across, the planet was reduced to fragments.

The stars were destroyed, the planets were destroyed, and in space, the Guardian Civilization’s space bases, habitation ships, and so on were also destroyed one by one by Xiao Yu. Only when the last spaceship was eliminated did this stretch of space finally fall silent.

What unfolded before Xiao Yu’s eyes was already a scene of total ruin. Here, apart from Xiao Yu and the Flame Civilization, there were no other lifeforms. Up until the moment when the last intelligent being of the Sweepers Civilization was killed by Xiao Yu, the rescuer still had not appeared.

“Perhaps things are different from galaxy to galaxy.” Xiao Yu shook his head inwardly. “I have now wiped out the Guardian Civilization. I wonder if a new Guardian Civilization will appear within the Andromeda Galaxy. If it does, what form will it take? Will it also be like me, suddenly receiving an appointment out of nowhere?”“You may leave now.” Xiao Yu sent a message to the Flame Civilization. “From this moment on, there will no longer be any existence called the Guardian Civilization hunting you down.”

“Grea… Great Sweepers Civilization, you… we do not know if you would permit our civilization to follow you for a period of time.” The reply from the Flame Civilization was full of barely concealed terror. “Our civilization wishes to recuperate quietly under your protection for a while. If we leave you, we fear we will suffer reprisals from other civilizations.”

“Do as you like.” Xiao Yu replied. “I will not be leaving this small universe in the short term. If you wish, then stay. There are many stars and planets here. You may choose any star system you like as your base of operations.”

This small universe was a ruin left behind by a Level 7 civilization, and Xiao Yu planned to analyze the legacy technology of that civilization here. That would be very beneficial for him to truly advance to a Level 7 civilization. He even had a certain premonition that once he completely analyzed the technology of this small universe, he would smoothly become a Level 7 civilization.

“Thank you for your mercy and generosity.” The Flame Civilization expressed its gratitude in rapid succession, and after showing Xiao Yu sufficient respect, it hurriedly left, as if afraid that Xiao Yu would change his mind, heading toward other regions within the small universe.

During their previous flight, the Flame Civilization had suffered extremely heavy losses and urgently needed a period of recovery. Here, there was a stable environment, abundant relics left behind by other civilizations, and most importantly, Xiao Yu’s protection. It was clear that the Flame Civilization was very satisfied with this place.

“From now on, this place is my territory.” Xiao Yu thought silently. “First, let’s take a look at the Guardian Civilization’s data.”

Before destroying the Guardian Civilization, Xiao Yu had already copied all the data in the Guardian Civilization’s central computer. The Guardian Civilization’s level of technology was lower than Xiao Yu’s, so its technological data had little value to him. Xiao Yu had never even thought about making breakthroughs here. What was valuable to him were the Guardian Civilization’s historical and incident records regarding the Andromeda Galaxy.

Xiao Yu wanted to know what stories had unfolded within the Andromeda Galaxy during the long span of the Guardian Civilization’s existence. Whether there had ever been a being similar to himself born there, what processes of confrontation with the spatial lifeform had occurred, where the spatial lifeform came from, and whether there were relics of certain high-level civilizations or cosmic secrets. Those were the truly valuable things. When it came to richness of information on such matters, it was likely that within the Andromeda Galaxy no civilization could compare to the Guardian Civilization.

Analyzing this oceanic mass of data cost Xiao Yu only one day. Within that single day, Xiao Yu had already become an expert on the history of the Guardian Civilization. Anything the Guardian Civilization had recorded, Xiao Yu now knew, including what decisions they made in which year and on which day, how many fleets they dispatched, how many civilizations they gathered, how many resources were consumed on a certain day within the civilization, and so on. Xiao Yu knew it all.

These records encompassed everything about a civilization, finance, commerce, technology, war, society, and so forth, covering every aspect. There were also many records concerning other civilizations. Yet Xiao Yu did not find in this data any civilization whose mode of existence resembled his own.

It seemed the Andromeda Galaxy was a very ordinary galaxy. Here there were Technological Civilizations, Alien Beast Civilizations, and even mechanical civilizations and spatial lifeforms. But there was no Specter Race. The Guardian Civilization did not know what the Specter Race even was, nor was there any existence that fused souls with other forms of matter.

“What is so special about the Milky Way Galaxy? Why would there be an existence like me? And the Milky Way is only half the size of the Andromeda Galaxy, so why is the quality of the Milky Way’s civilizations so much higher than that of the Andromeda Galaxy?” Xiao Yu pondered silently. “Still, the number of civilizations in the Andromeda Galaxy really is astonishing…”

The quality might be lacking, but the sheer quantity was immense. That was the true picture of the civilizations in the Andromeda Galaxy. Just those civilizations the Guardian Civilization already knew and had some understanding of, and had entered into the record, numbered in the tens of thousands. Among them, there were more than two hundred Level 6 Technological Civilizations, and at least fifty Level 6 Alien Beasts. The number of Taihao Civilizations was also quite large, at no fewer than seventy.

In total, there were more than three hundred Level 6 civilizations or beings equivalent to Level 6 civilizations. Such numbers filled Xiao Yu with astonishment.

Within this vast galaxy that contained nearly one trillion stars and had a diameter of over two hundred thousand light years, countless civilizations were thriving and multiplying. Yet Xiao Yu could not see them. All he could see was the vast, unfathomable starry sky.

“As I expected, the Guardian Civilization’s history has already stretched for ten million years. Over this long history, the Guardian Civilization has no record whatsoever of any civilization becoming a Level 7 civilization. In that regard, it is similar to the Milky Way Galaxy. For tens of millions of years, there has not been a single civilization in the Milky Way that has reached Level 7.”

“The overall strength of the Andromeda Galaxy already far surpasses that of the Milky Way. If the existence of the Specter Race were a universal phenomenon, then there would be no reason for the Andromeda Galaxy not to produce a Specter Race. Since there is none in the Andromeda Galaxy, then it can only be a special case unique to the Milky Way. I just do not know why the Milky Way would have special cases like me or the Micron Civilization.”

After confirming this and confirming his own uniqueness, Xiao Yu felt a trace of relaxation in his heart. He knew very clearly just how enormous his advantage was compared to traditional Technological Civilizations. To speak frankly, Xiao Yu himself did not wish to encounter an enemy like himself. If he really did, Xiao Yu would find it a headache.

“Let me stay here quietly for a while. After I become a Level 7 civilization, then I will think about what comes next.” Xiao Yu mused. “If the Andromeda Galaxy does not have what I seek, then after I become a Level 7 civilization, I will leave and continue exploring other galaxies.”

At this moment, outside the small universe, several dozen light years away, in an ordinary star system, a large number of spaceships were gathering. Streams of radio waves, each carrying different meanings, were shuttling through the void.

“The Sweepers Civilization has no interest in us. It did not come after us. The Guardian Alliance has already collapsed and no longer exists. As Level 6 civilizations, we should plan as soon as possible what path we will take in the future…”

“Let the eight of us Level 6 civilizations unite. If we do not unite, we will easily be devoured by other forces. These nearly one thousand lower-level civilizations will all become our vassals.”
