Chapter 858: I Know
Chapter 858: I Know
"Do you know what Charles is planning to do?" Mason Wilson asked curiously."No idea." Sophie Wilson’s straightforward answer left Mason speechless.
She seemed so confident despite not knowing. Did his daughter get brainwashed by Charles Seymour?
"However, I trust he’ll do what he says. Dad, just wait and see the show." Sophie said with a smile.
What else could Mason Wilson do?
Of course, he chose to trust, but... he was truly baffled about what Charles Seymour intended to do.
Forget it, let things happen as they will.
Whether or not he returned to the Wilson Clan didn’t matter; if they wanted to dig their own grave, they couldn’t blame anyone else.
Not long after Sophie Wilson hung up Mason Wilson’s call, Uncle Warren came over and said, "Miss, Ophelia Wilson’s lawyer is looking for you."
"Hmm, let him in." Sophie nodded, and then Uncle Warren had the security at the community gate let him enter.
"Miss Wilson, my name is Green." Lawyer Green said with a smile to Sophie, "My client Miss Ophelia Wilson would like to meet you."
After Lawyer Green finished speaking, he felt a bit anxious.
Everyone knew the relationship between Sophie Wilson and Ophelia Wilson was complex, right?
Ophelia Wilson being locked up, Sophie Wilson surprisingly wasn’t kicking her when she was down; would she even visit her?
But, as Ophelia Wilson’s lawyer, since she urgently requested him to find Sophie Wilson, what else could he do?
He could only comply and make this trip, even though there was a ninety percent chance it was in vain.
"Sure." Sophie nodded in agreement.
"Um, you...you agreed?" Lawyer Green asked in surprise.
"Yes, I agreed." Sophie smiled and nodded, asking, "When will we go?"
"I’ll set up a time and inform you then." Lawyer Green was truly thrilled; he didn’t expect it to be so easy for Sophie Wilson to agree.
"Alright, I’ll wait for your call." Sophie smiled as she saw Lawyer Green off.
Lawyer Green stood outside the villa, glanced back at the closed door, and pondered to himself, Sophie Wilson seemed quite amiable to get along with; it seemed Ophelia was truly...
Lawyer Green shook his head fiercely; he was Ophelia Wilson’s defense lawyer now, how could he have such thoughts about his client?
When Sophie Wilson finally met Ophelia Wilson, she almost didn’t recognize her.
In just a few days, Ophelia had lost a lot of weight, with deep circles under her eyes, her hair looking like lifeless weeds, she had completely changed.
"Sophie Wilson, do you want to go against James Reed?" Ophelia began, her once soft voice now sounding as if it had been sanded by abrasive paper, hoarse and unpleasant.
Sophie curiously asked, "Why should I go against James Reed?"
"James Reed took Charles Seymour’s place; don’t you want to avenge Charles?" Ophelia’s eyes were like a venomous snake hiding in the shadows, fixed intently on Sophie, "Or maybe you don’t love Charles that much, and don’t want to do anything for him."
In the chilling gaze of Ophelia Wilson, which made one’s skin crawl, Sophie laughed: "Ophelia Wilson, even now, you’re still playing tricks, trying to make me stand for you and retaliate against James?"
Ophelia had been stimulated recently but wasn’t stupid; she sensed something was off right away: "Do you know something?"
"Oh, you’re talking about James Reed using you and deceiving you?" Sophie openly admitted, "If it’s about that, I do know."
