Chapter 405: Got Hit
Chapter 405: Got Hit
"Emerie, what nonsense are you talking?" Old Mrs. Wilson angrily scolded, "Benjamin, take Emerie back."Benjamin Walton was quite obedient, quickly coming over to pull Emerie Wilson: "Emerie, let’s go home first."
"Don’t pull me, today I have to clear things up!" Emerie Wilson suddenly broke free from Benjamin Walton’s arm and said to Mason Wilson, "Brother, that Sophie Wilson is your daughter. Really, you should hurry and acknowledge her."
Mason Wilson stared at Emerie Wilson with a gloomy face, saying, "After all these years, why have you suddenly decided to reveal this today?"
Normally, people would find some grand excuses or reasons, no matter what, they would first try to maintain peace and make themselves look blameless before speaking.
But, is Emerie Wilson just an ordinary person?
She doesn’t need to make herself look innocent because she genuinely believes she is innocent.
"Brother, it’s not just because your daughter takes things too seriously. I saw her spending recklessly and said a few words to her, and she immediately sent me a lawyer’s letter asking for an apology. I didn’t apologize, then she had the lawyer come to deliver the letter and demanded a public apology!"
Emerie Wilson became more aggrieved as she spoke: "Hmph, I’m her elder, what’s wrong with saying a few words to her?"
"After all, she truly is my junior, brother, you should hurry and acknowledge her."
Benjamin Walton listened silently from the side, secretly amused, thinking that only someone as foolish as Emerie Wilson would do such a thing.
Though he secretly laughed at Emerie Wilson, Benjamin Walton actually quite "liked" her, because if Emerie Wilson weren’t so foolish, dealing with her would be much more difficult.
"Brother, don’t listen to Emerie’s nonsense, she just wants me to cooperate with Peace Group, so she’s anxious. In her hurry, she speaks recklessly, I’ll take her back now." Benjamin Walton displayed a worried expression, embodying the image of a husband who loves his wife to the fullest.
Unfortunately, Mason Wilson already intended to clear things up today; since Emerie Wilson started it, how could he let it go?
"Emerie, you mean you’re telling me today that you refused to publicly apologize because my daughter was abandoned by you at birth, is that right?" Mason Wilson stared intensely at Emerie Wilson, softly asking.
Yet, the subtle coldness in his voice was apparent even to Old Mrs. Wilson, who felt her heart skip a beat.
She knew her son was usually very filial and doted on Emerie, but when it came to his bottom line, he never compromised.
Much like years ago, when he insisted on marrying Clarissa Taylor, no matter what the family did, they couldn’t change his decision.
"How was she abandoned? I entrusted her to someone to raise. I even gave a lot of money!" Upon hearing her brother wrongly accuse her, Emerie Wilson instantly retorted in dissatisfaction.
Emerie Wilson, showing a picture of righteousness and benevolence, made Mason Wilson laugh in anger: "Fine, fine!"
"Brother, you should go tell Sophie Wilson, I’m her elder, saying a few words for her own good, yet she sent me a lawyer’s letter, I... ah!"
Emerie Wilson’s complaint was abruptly silenced by a harsh slap from Mason Wilson.
Slammed onto the sofa, Emerie Wilson was stunned, only realizing she was hit by her brother when she felt a burning pain on her face.
"What are you doing!" Old Mrs. Wilson saw her daughter was struck by Mason Wilson and immediately cursed without thinking.
