Chapter 298: Chapter 298: It Depends on Whether You Give Me a Chance or Not
Easton Holmes had guessed Thomas Fisher’s purpose for coming here right from the start. He knew very well that this wasn’t just Thomas Fisher’s idea. Inviting a few good brothers for a drink was basically in his plans. It was just that a lot had happened these days, and he hadn’t found the time yet.
Today, when his good brothers came knocking, he decided that there’s no better time than the present. Tonight, he’d go out with a few good brothers for a proper drink. A few big men drinking; he thought she’d find it boring to join.
"What’s not suitable? Can’t I represent my wife?" He raised an eyebrow, glancing at his good brother beside him. The underlying message was: Do you believe I’ll teach you a lesson if you start trouble again?
"You can totally represent your wife, you’re amazing!" Thomas Fisher couldn’t miss the undertones in Easton Holmes’ words, giving him a thumbs up.
For Thomas Fisher’s sarcastic praise, Easton Holmes chose to turn a blind eye, issuing an ultimatum, "Do you have anything else?"
His unspoken message was, if you have nothing else, you can leave now.
"Nothing."
Thomas Fisher didn’t react for a moment and replied without thinking.
"Then you can leave."
After hearing Easton’s words, Thomas Fisher then realized belatedly that his big brother was indeed trying to send him off.
Thomas Fisher let out a deep sigh, but he didn’t immediately get up to leave. Instead, he remained seated on the sofa, "Bro! You’ve been whipped by a wife and forgotten your brothers."
After saying this, he suddenly stood up because he saw Easton Holmes pick up a magazine from the coffee table, rolling it up as if he was about to hit him with it.
Thomas Fisher was still a bit slow, and the magazine in Easton’s hand was thrown at his back. He turned his head to look at the culprit who hit him, showing a sad expression, "You’re such a bad brother, always bullying me. I’ll go find the other two brothers."
"Hmph!"
As Thomas Fisher turned to leave, he snorted at Easton Holmes.
Bang!
It wasn’t until he heard the sound of the door closing that Easton Holmes suddenly remembered there was still someone upstairs who was mad at him.
What did he do to deserve this? Everyone seemed to be against him.
Without dwelling too much on it, he got up and left the living room to go upstairs.
Meanwhile, Lily Turner was lying in a bedroom next to the study, staring at the ceiling in a daze. When she came into the room earlier, she had even locked the door from inside out of spite.
It wasn’t until Easton Holmes opened the door and walked in that she snapped out of her daze, looking at the man walking towards her. She raised a hand to tap her forehead.
How had she forgotten about that? He indeed had the skills to pick locks, and he was really good at it too.
"How come I didn’t realize before that you have a penchant for self-abuse?" Seeing Lily Turner tapping her own head, Easton Holmes frowned slightly, his steps unconsciously quickening as he walked towards her.
Seeing the man getting closer and faster, Lily Turner quickly sat up on the bed, looking at him with dissatisfaction, "Easton Holmes! Can you stop using your door-opening skills in the future?"
She really worried that he’d get so used to picking locks, his hands would itch to do it wherever he went.
"That depends on whether you give me the opportunity."
Easton Holmes took a big step forward and sat down beside Lily Turner, naturally reaching out to drape an arm over her shoulder.
Lily Turner seemed to have gotten used to Easton Holmes’ natural actions. She didn’t remove the arm resting on her shoulder, but turned to look at him, "I’m not going to waste words with you, I want to talk to you."
