Chapter 337: Save Your Energy for the Important Things

Chapter 337: Save Your Energy for the Important Things

After Easton Holmes left the living room, he didn’t immediately go upstairs. Instead, he waited at the corner of the stairs. Only after the two people downstairs left did he turn and head upstairs.

"Have they gone?"

Seeing Easton Holmes push the door open and come in, Lily Turner, who was sitting on the sofa watching TV, tilted her head and asked.

"Yeah!"

Easton casually closed the door behind him and walked over to Lily Turner, who was sitting on the sofa. Approaching her, he sat down beside her and, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, pulled her into his embrace.

"Didn’t I tell you to rest? Aren’t you sleepy?"

His face looked much better than it did downstairs earlier—pleasant and full of tenderness.

"I slept too much this afternoon, so I’m not sleepy at all now." Lily Turner turned slightly to face Easton Holmes. "Why did they leave so quickly?"

She had only just come upstairs half an hour ago, thinking it would take them a long time to leave.

"Or did you want them to stay at our place overnight?" Easton leaned in and kissed Lily, his eyes gleaming as he looked at her. "Seems like you’ve indeed rested well this afternoon, so I won’t hold back now."

As soon as he finished speaking, he lifted her up and, without a moment’s delay, carried her towards the bed.

Seeing this, Lily was a beat too late to react. She began to kick her legs in a flurry and shouted at the man, "I’m not sleepy, but I’m so tired. I’m really exhausted."

To stop the man, she kicked her legs wildly.

"Kicking your legs so vigorously, you don’t seem tired at all," Easton said with a charming smile, his face now full of desire. "Save your strength for the main event."

With his long legs, he took two big strides and carried her over to the bed.

"Easton..."

Before she could finish saying his name, she was thrown onto the bed. As she tried to roll away to dodge him, Easton had already pounced on her.

And then, everything was left unsaid...

Finally, Lily drifted into a deep sleep from sheer exhaustion. She slept soundly without any dreams to disturb her.

But the next morning, the phone rang, rudely waking her up from her deep sleep.

"Hand me the phone."

Lily, drowsy and unable to open her eyes, reflexively reached out to push the person next to her to help her get the phone, but her hand found nothing.

Hmm?

She struggled to open her bleary eyes, but there was no one beside her.

Lily, too lazy to get out of bed and fetch the phone herself, turned over to continue sleeping, but the phone kept ringing, over and over.

Who could this be? Disturbing her sleep so early in the morning.

Annoyed, she ruffled her hair with her hand and reluctantly got up. She got out of bed to find the persistently ringing phone.

Ahh!

Sitting on the edge of the bed while putting on her shoes, she realized she wasn’t wearing any clothes. She quickly grabbed the robe hanging on the bedpost to cover herself.

Once she was dressed, she followed the sound of the phone ringing towards the sofa.

By this time, she had lost count of how many times the phone rang.

Lily bent down to pick up the phone on the sofa. Upon seeing the caller ID, her brow furrowed, and her expression darkened.

She stared at the phone for a while, waiting until it was almost about to hang up automatically before she answered it.

"Freya! It’s so early; what’s up?"

The caller was Freya Yeager. Woken from her sleep, Lily couldn’t help but harbor a bit of resentment towards the caller, and her tone was somewhat unfriendly.
