Chapter 336: He Deserves to Freeze to Death

Chapter 336: He Deserves to Freeze to Death

Thomas Fisher had been sitting right beside her, and he saw everything that happened more clearly than anyone else. He already had a very clear judgment about whether Evelyn Taylor was just fooling around.

But at this moment, does he dare to tell the truth?

Evelyn was like a bottle filled with gasoline now; a single spark could ignite her, and sitting this close, one careless move could cause trouble for himself.

"Our little Evelyn is the most sensible one. How could she do such a thing? Besides, our big brother isn’t an outsider. Even if she makes a fuss, he wouldn’t really get angry." Thomas effortlessly spun the lie, starting to admire even himself.

Evelyn couldn’t care less whether Thomas was telling the truth or not. Her heart was full of resentment towards Lily Turner, and any chance she got, she wanted to vent it out.

"Ryan wouldn’t get angry, but someone might be instigating things behind his back, stirring him to be annoyed and disdainful of me." She was skilled at expanding the topic, directly extending it to Lily Turner.

Thomas let out a barely audible sigh. Could he even speak properly without her dragging it over to Lily Turner?

"Evelyn! Let’s go now. Your brother and Patrick are still waiting outside." He didn’t want to continue this headache-inducing discussion, quickly steering the topic back to its starting point.

While speaking, Thomas stood up, yet he didn’t reach out to pull Evelyn up, just waiting for her response.

"Thomas! You were so eager when you came just now. How come you’re ready to leave after sitting for a bit? Are you afraid that woman upstairs will lose her temper?" Evelyn ignored Thomas’s cue, remaining motionlessly seated on the sofa without any intention of getting up.

Seeing this, Thomas cried out in his mind with frustration: What exactly does this girl want? Does she intend to torment him until he’s bleeding from the orifices?

"Evelyn! It’s nighttime now, and it’s really cold outside. Aren’t you afraid your brother will catch a cold?" He purposely reminded her of the low temperature outside just to evoke a bit of sympathy from her.

"If he freezes, he deserves it for siding with outsiders." Bringing up Ryan made Evelyn even angrier.

Evelyn’s stubbornness made Thomas a bit angry, but to avoid provoking an even bigger outburst, he held himself back.

He took a deep breath to calm his emotions before slowly speaking, "Even if you want to punish your brother, you should also consider Patrick. He’s innocent."

He lowered his head, staring intently at her. His handsome face bare of any smile, he looked very serious.

He wanted her to know that he was not joking but discussing something very serious.

Seeing Thomas suddenly change his expression, Evelyn felt a hint of trouble in her heart. After a brief moment of hesitation, she slowly stood up.

"For your and Patrick’s sake, I won’t hold a grudge against my brother tonight." Even her allies were unhappy; if she didn’t leave now, she would be completely defeated.

That result was not what she wanted to see, and her purpose for being here was not to fail.

"Thank you for giving Patrick and me face."

Seeing Evelyn stand up, Thomas let out a sigh of relief and quickly took hold of her sleeve, pulling her outside.
