Chapter 325: It Sounds Like You Envy Me

Chapter 325: It Sounds Like You Envy Me

"You take the call, I’ll go over and eat."

As Easton Holmes answered the phone, Lily Turner took the opportunity to get up and sit in the adjacent seat. After sitting down, she naturally took away the bowl of rice in front of him and started eating with a spoon at the same time.

Glancing at the woman who was eating, Easton Holmes answered the phone, "My issue has been resolved. You guys can drink to your heart’s content now."

The call was from Ryan Taylor. Without waiting for him to say anything, Easton already knew the situation, so he reassuringly spoke first to put his brothers at ease at the bar.

What he didn’t expect was that his good brother doubted his statement.

"Solved so quickly? Is that true or not?" Ryan Taylor was skeptical, with more doubt than belief.

Easton instinctively looked at Lily Turner, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Do you not trust my intelligence? Or do you doubt my capability?"

At that moment, he looked smug, utterly different from the anxious person he was when he returned.

"Really solved?"

If there was any doubt before, Ryan Taylor found it hard to keep doubting after hearing Easton’s words.

Easton responded with a counter-question, "How about you come to my house and see for yourself?"

Although he already believed him, he deliberately asked like that. Was it just to tease him?

"Sure! We were just wondering where to spend our time, so it’s perfect to come play at your house now." Ryan Taylor was joking, but Evelyn Taylor, sitting beside him, took it seriously, and Thomas Fisher started to egg on as well.

Evelyn Taylor raised her hands to express her opinion, her speech noticeably slurred due to drinking too much, "I like this idea, I wholeheartedly agree!"

"I agree too," Thomas Fisher said and then stood up unsteadily, waving his hand, "Let’s go! Straight to the big brother’s house!"

Over the phone, Easton Holmes heard what Thomas Fisher and Evelyn Taylor said and scratched his forehead in frustration.

"Go play wherever you want; my home is not a recreation center, and no one will host you." A bunch of drunkards coming to his house might cause minor chaos, but the main concern was disturbing his wife, especially Evelyn.

When she’s sober, she’s already like that, let alone after drinking. He couldn’t guarantee what she might do.

"Oh, so now that you’ve got a wife, you don’t recognize us as brothers anymore," Ryan Taylor pretended to sigh helplessly, then said, "Brother, you’re really under your wife’s thumb."

After saying that, he sighed even louder over the phone.

"From what you’re saying, you sound quite envious of me?"

Being called "under the thumb" by his brothers over the phone, Easton Holmes didn’t feel upset or angry at all. On the contrary, he was quite pleased with the label.

"Envious of you my... "

Evelyn Taylor suddenly walked over, snatched the phone from Ryan Taylor’s hand, and before he could react and snatch it back, she had already walked to the side with the phone.

"Easton! You’re so unreasonable, leaving early is one thing, but now that we’re coming to your house, you’re being evasive. It’s one thing to do this to me, but you can’t do this to Thomas."

Evelyn Taylor said a lot in one breath, speaking at lightning speed, fearing that if she spoke too slowly, Ryan Taylor would snatch the phone back, or that Easton Holmes would hang up before she finished speaking.
