Seeing the conversation between the mother and son about to become irreparable, Callix Linton interjected just in time, halting the words remaining on Amelia Linton’s lips, "It’s late. You should head home."

Worried that things would become even more deadlocked, Callix Linton once again issued an order for Amelia Linton to leave, but as before, she remained seated without any intention of getting up.

Hearing this, Amelia Linton suddenly turned to look at Callix Linton standing behind her, her face displaying a rich array of emotions: hurt, anger, surprise, shock, disbelief as she gazed at her father, "You, you..."
