Chapter 1066: Can You Stop Overreacting?

When Lily Turner called, Easton Holmes was resting in bed. Hearing something was off, he immediately sat up, "What’s happened?"

She wouldn’t ask for Thomas Fisher’s phone number without reason; something must have happened.

"Send me his number first, I’ll tell you later." At this moment, Lily was very worried about Alice Turner. She was anxious to call Thomas, hoping he would accompany her sister. Her sister didn’t need the rest of the family, but he was an exception.

Hearing this, Easton was even more convinced about his suspicion. Without pressing further, he hung up and sent Thomas Fisher’s number via text.

After receiving Easton’s text, Lily dialed immediately. The phone rang several times before the person on the other end picked up, "Hello, who’s this?"

Seeing an unknown number, Thomas was very polite.

"Hello! It’s me, Lily Turner." Hearing Thomas speak so politely, Lily instinctively replied with a polite greeting.

Realizing it was Lily calling, Thomas was very surprised, "Sister-in-law?!"

After his exclamation, he remembered she was with Alice. She wouldn’t call unless something happened, right?

"There’s a situation with my sister, can you..."

"What happened to your sister? Are you two still at the restaurant?"

Hearing Lily mention a situation with Alice, Thomas immediately got nervous, interrupting without courtesy.

Lily sighed and responded, "My sister divorced Benjamin Shaw. My dad..."

"What?! Your sister divorced Ben?!" Thomas exclaimed again, interrupting Lily with a louder exclamation than before.

Not anticipating such a situation, Lily was caught off guard. Thomas’s sudden shout startled her, so she pulled the phone away from her ear and then placed it on the other side, "Can you stop yelling like that? I haven’t finished speaking."

He keeps interrupting her, how is she supposed to finish? Her sister is waiting for him to help calm her down.

"Go ahead, I promise I won’t interrupt you again." Despite not feeling calm inside, Thomas tried to compose himself, waiting for Lily to finish.

With the other side quiet, Lily dared not delay and continued, "My dad found out about the divorce and kicked my sister out. Do you have time now? Please try to find her; she was in a bad state when she left."

She knew the person on the other end would go look for her sister, so asking about his availability was redundant.

"I’ll go find your sister right away, bye."

Lily was satisfied with Thomas’s response, her tension easing up a bit out of relief.

After this call, she immediately dialed Easton. He was already waiting for her call and picked up after just one ring, "What’s going on? Is there a problem at home?"

Easton directly asked about the situation, prompting a deep sigh from Lily, "My dad kicked my sister out."

Recalling the recent events, she couldn’t help but sigh again.

"Your dad kicked your sister out? Why? Did he find out about her and Thomas?" Easton’s first thought was this possibility.
