"Get out!"

After hearing Alice Turner’s statement, Christopher Turner once again angrily shouted at her to get out.

Alice didn’t respond verbally. She pulled back her hand from Sophia Wood’s grasp, looked at Christopher with sorrow and anger, then got up and stormed out of the living room.

"Sis!"

Seeing this, Lily Turner immediately stood up and followed her out.

Sophia Wood pointed irritably at Christopher and then got up to chase after them. As she caught up, the two sisters had already walked out the door. She quickened her pace to follow them.

In the yard, she caught up with the two sisters, reached out to grab Alice’s arm, "Alice! Don’t stoop to your dad’s level; he’s just being senile right now."

This time, she tightened her grip, preventing Alice from easily breaking free as she did earlier.

"He’s not senile; he’s too shrewd, so much so that he’s started scheming against his own daughter." Alice tried to escape Sophia’s hold but couldn’t easily break free this time. "Mom! Don’t worry, I won’t get carried away, nor will I do anything foolish."

Although she was very angry and deeply hurt at the moment, she had no intention of doing anything rash.

Sophia was truly worried that Alice might get carried away, although she didn’t think Alice would do anything foolish. Even though she wasn’t Alice’s biological mother, she was the stepmother who had watched Alice grow up, and she knew Alice better than anyone.

Alice used her other hand to forcefully pry open the grip of Sophia’s hand, and once she freed herself, she headed straight for the courtyard gate, "I’m really okay, both of you don’t need to follow me, I just want some peace and quiet right now."

Hearing Alice’s words, Lily and Sophia’s raised feet were suddenly locked in mid-air. For a moment, they even forgot to lower them, until their single foot couldn’t support their swaying bodies, prompting them to come back to earth and put their feet down.

"Mom! Could I borrow your phone for a moment?" Lily was deeply concerned about Alice. She needed to call Thomas Fisher to have him accompany their heartbroken and angry sister.

Though Sophia wasn’t sure who Lily wanted to call, she still pulled out her phone from her pocket and handed it to Lily, "I’ll head inside first."

After handing the phone to Lily, she quickly returned inside. She needed to take this opportunity to talk things over with that man, ensuring he doesn’t remain irrational, or their daughter would resent him.

Lily glanced at Sophia as she walked inside, picked up the phone, and without hesitation, dialed Easton Holmes’s number.

"Hello! Mom!"

The phone barely rang twice before Easton answered, seeing Sophia’s number, he immediately greeted her as mom.

"It’s me." On a normal day, Lily would definitely joke a bit with Easton, but she wasn’t in the mood right now.

Upon hearing Lily’s voice, Easton suddenly became excited, "Honey! Are you back at your parents’?"

Though it was a question, he didn’t really need her to answer.

"Send me Thomas Fisher’s number; I need to contact him." Lily didn’t respond to Easton’s previous question but instead bypassed it, directly asking him for Thomas Fisher’s number.
