Thomas Fisher had been in meetings for several hours and was indeed feeling a bit tired, but upon hearing Alice Turner’s concerned words, he suddenly felt not tired at all.
"Got it, I’ll go eat soon." If she weren’t with her sister right now, he would definitely go find her.
"Then I’ll hang up now."
Alice Turner glanced at Lily Turner sitting beside her. Her sister appeared to be focused on the menu, but Alice knew full well that Lily was eavesdropping on her phone conversation with Thomas Fisher.
Thomas Fisher decided not to say too much because Lily Turner was there, so he obediently said goodbye to Alice Turner.
"Goodbye!"
After they bid farewell to each other, they ended the call.
"Sis! Thomas Fisher really cares about you." Seeing Alice Turner hang up the phone, Lily Turner immediately put down the menu and leaned over.
Watching Lily lean over, Alice wasn’t surprised at all and pushed her away lightly with her uninjured hand, "Hurry up and order, if you don’t, my nephew will protest."
To cover up her embarrassment, Alice snatched the menu back and shoved it into her sister’s hands, urging her to order quickly in the name of the baby in Lily’s belly.
"Got it, I’ll order right away, won’t let your nephew go hungry." Lily looked at her sister meaningfully and chuckled before returning to the menu.
After being given that meaningful smile by her sister, Alice Turner felt more bashful, her cheeks flushed slightly, and she subconsciously raised her hand to touch her cheek, feeling its warmth in her palm.
Lily Turner glanced at Alice out of the corner of her eye, and Alice’s little gesture of touching her cheek was perfectly caught in her view. She silently curled her lips into a smile and returned her focus to ordering.
Without consulting Alice, Lily made decisions on her own, ordering three dishes and a soup. When she handed the written menu to Alice, Alice immediately asked her to redo it, "They’re all my favorites, you’re so biased, this isn’t fair to my nephew."
Lily Turner had ordered all of Alice’s favorite foods, and Alice promptly vetoed it. Just as she was about to give her the revised menu, she suddenly changed her mind.
Alice Turner put the menu down on the table, grabbed the menu and pen from in front of Lily and started choosing and writing herself. After finishing, she didn’t show Lily but directly stood up, went out, and handed the menu to the waiter.
Since there weren’t many diners in the restaurant, the waiter quickly served the dishes Alice ordered onto their table.
"Sis! You just said I was biased, but you’re even more biased than me." Looking at the dishes she loved in front of her, Lily Turner sighed. Her sister was always like this, always taking care of her and going out of her way to be good to her.
Alice Turner picked up her chopsticks to point at the plate of delicious food, urging, "Let’s not be so dramatic between us, hurry and eat. If you don’t, my nephew will really protest."
Having said that, she took the lead and started picking up food with her chopsticks, but her right hand was more clumsy than her foot, and she couldn’t manage to grab any food for a long time.
"Got it, I’ll feed your nephew right now." Lily Turner said as she picked up her own chopsticks, not serving food to herself first but adding some to Alice’s bowl before eating her own.
Alice Turner stopped fighting with the chopsticks, put them down, and grabbed a spoon. As she was about to eat with it, her phone unexpectedly rang again.
