Chapter 544 543: Preparation for the return!?

"So, do you think I'm pregnant yet? Or do we need to do it a few more days?" Chloe suddenly asked.

Excitement in her eyes. It seemed she, like the others, was really taken by the idea of being a mother, especially after knowing that Hope would be one soon enough.

Hell, she might have already been one had she not held herself back all this time.

"Ah. I don't think it works like that. If you remember what mom said back then. It's all about luck at this point. More than when we were normal people honestly" Muku explained awkwardly.

How could he not be when Chloe should already know this? And what was that enthusiasm?

"Ah. I had forgotten it for a second there. Such a bummer. But I'm sure if we repeat what you did with Hope I'll definitely get pregnant so we'll do that. Now tell me the schedule so I don't miss the window" Chloe was bummed but she immediately moved on and came up with a crazy plan.

"I don't think it... Umm, we did it whenever there was time. She sought me out whenever she saw an opening" Muku replied.

He wanted to repeat his prior statement that it did not work like that. But Chloe squeezed him a bit as he spoke and he could feel a lightning current lightly tapping his skin.

She was blatantly threatening him with electrocution if he dared burst her bubble.

And so, like any manly man, he backed off instantly and told her what she wanted to hear.

He has never experienced this side of her. Then again, that day was practically all about discovering new things about her so...

"Oh my! I expected you to be a horn dog. But Hope too? Cute innocent Hope? I never expected she would be so insatiable. She's even worse than you. How could you corrupt her so much you jerk!" Chloe spoke annoyedly and even pinched Muku as she did.

To which he yelped in pain but he didn't say anything. It was clear she was more jealous about Hope having enjoyed so much while she still hesitated all this time.

"Well, whatever. I'll definitely catch up!" Chloe spoke to herself in a motivational way.

Muku looked at her silently again. He dared not tell her that Hope had her healing abilities to thank for doing it so many times otherwise she definitely wouldn't have been able to do it nearly as much.

After all, even Audrey and Jade with their stronger bodies couldn't last as long as Hope or do it as frequently as their bodies needed to recover.

Not that they would be injured or anything. But they would have been pushed to their limits.

Maybe the reason why Hope got pregnant over the others was the frequency? Well, whatever, there was no way Chloe would be able to do it.

He decided to let her experience it and understand on her own instead of telling her lest she get too stubborn to stop even when she can't take it anymore...

Sometime later...

The two finally got out of bed after cuddling and even taking a nap together. It wasn't necessary but it was good bonding.

After that, Chloe put on her clothes and ran out of the room with a red face.

It seemed her shame had returned.

It was quite funny to see her running so awkwardly for obvious reasons.

She wasn't hurt or anything, just the aftereffects of what had happened showing themselves.

The other girls who could see her from their rooms through their divine sense didn't come out to tease her. After all, most of them had gone through the phase. Those who hadn't didn't have it in them and knew that it would happen to them too eventually.

Even Elsa thought the same. That's right. After the moment of clarity from before. She realised that she hadn't been able to escape Muku's clutches as she had thought after all.

It was just her mind being in denial. Something she couldn't do anymore.

Now she was even thinking of how to seduce him. At the same time, she was mentally apologizing to her sister and the other girls for calling them crazy for falling for one man and sharing him.

After all, she was about to join their club.

The only ones who weren't remotely bothered with what was happening were Raya and Tracy who were now a PR6 so had a humanoid form.

Hers wasn't as human as Raya's as she still had minor beastly features like two horns and grey skin. But it was better than most. She looked like an exotic alien Milf if anything.

Muku might or might not have stolen a few glances at her. Which any straight man would do after seeing her explosive body.

Anyway, she, like Raya wasn't entertaining any romantic feelings or even acknowledging their existence. Which was probably part of why they weren't caught in the same trap as the others. Not to mention they were beasts, so unless they let themselves be, they will generally not be attracted to humans.

Raya was more interested in napping and eating than anything else. And Muku was like a piece of gum stuck at the bottom of her shoe. So developing a romantic interest in him was out of the question.

While having technically lived for close to 30 years up to that point, if the time they spent in the embryo under increased speed was considered, she was still as simple as ever.

Tracy has completely closed off her heart after the betrayal. And looking at humans romantically wasn't easy for her like it was for Althea as she had actually lived a richer life than Althea despite living for only a fraction of the time.

Which was why despite having lived so long, Althea gave off the air of a young maiden in her early twenties. Tracy on the other hand gave off the air of a middle-aged lady who had experienced everything life could offer...

Muku only left his room after gathering his thoughts.

He needed to prepare for the storm of questions surely to come.

After he was ready he went out and sat in the lounge.

He didn't call anyone down from their rooms.

And h3 didn't have to. They all soon showed up. Accept Chloe of course. She was too shy to come down.

The fact that she ran out of her room added to the shame. She couldn't face anyone at the time, as she knew that they knew.

She had sensed them all before.

Anyway, that's her problem to deal with which she was currently thinking about in a random guest room...

"So, what's our next step leader?" Audrey asked after everyone gathered before anyone could say anything.

Though it didn't look like anyone was willing to speak anyway. The awkwardness was getting too thick. She had to cut it down.

"Good question. As we established before. We're going back. So now we need to figure out the situation there before going. I'm sure it's completely different from what we remember at this point" Muku replied happily at the question this cute little snake of his asked.

Yeah, he hadn't forgotten how she tried to shirk responsibility before. He will definitely make her pay later... in bed of course.

But since she was still so considerate, maybe he won't go too hard.

"Ah. That makes sense. However, are we going to do it?" Audrey asked.

"Jade" Muku replied with one word.

"Yes?" Jade asked confusedly. Did he want her to go and scout or something?

Because if that was it, then she refused. He and his invisibility and nightmare armour that was still great for concealment were definitely better options for the job.

"Can you call your brothers and ask them about the current situation there? I would do it, but I think they'd rather speak to you. And honestly, you could have called them a few times over the years. They must be worried sick. And I'm sure Chris is cursing me to death at this point" Muku replied.

"Oh... Meh, it would only get in the way of my practice. They would definitely insist on talking for longer than necessary. And I didn't want to deal with that. Not to mention it has only been like two years for them right? That's nothing" Jade replied.

She was a bit embarrassed by what she assumed and how she didn't think of something so obvious. But that was hidden in her explanation of why she didn't call or accept their calls.

"Well, they are your brothers after all" Muki didn't argue.

He dared not when they were all probably waiting for a single crack to attack him because of the Hope matter.

It looked like they had moved past it, but he was sure they hadn't. Just waiting for someone to start and they can gang up on him...

Jade nodded, pulled out her phone, and called Klaus. Chris was a man of few words while Klaus was chatty, so the choice was obvious.

"The prodigal daughter finally retains her father's calls" Klaus's cold voice was heard as soon as the call connected.

Which happened almost instantly.

He didn't sound too happy. Which was pretty understandable really...
