Chapter 542 541: #Couple goals

Soon enough the girls all woke up too. It took them a few more months than him but it was fine.

Of course, Raya finished around the same time as him. She would have finished a lot sooner if she were as serious as the others.

After all, she felt no pressure at all. She had no attachments to the planet or its inhabitants. She will help only because she's part of the group and her schedule is pretty free. Otherwise, she felt nothing...

"Great. Now that everyone is done we can go back to your world!" Althea spoke excitedly, standing conspicuously as far away from Muku as possible.

And it wasn't without reason. The shameless bastard would wake up at random times and come to bother her.

Since it was his domain and she couldn't hide from him, she could only escape each time.

Though even then she was caught off guard a few times when she was on her phone. He would suddenly appear on top of her and press down on her then whisper naughty words like "I want you" into her ears.

She tried threatening him with telling the others but he didn't back off at all saying that even if they get angry, they will eventually forgive him and he will pursue her even more furiously from then on.

So she gave up that plan and they could only play cat and mouse. After all, if she felt him coming then he had no chance of catching her even if it was his domain.

Which is exactly what she did the last few years, she placed a marker on him that notified her every time he stirred so she could prepare.

Anyway, that wasn't important for the time being.

"What do you mean by ' we? I thought Monarchs couldn't go there yet no matter what portal they use?" Muku asked.

"So you want to ditch me? How ruthless of you. Hmph! I don't want to talk to you anymore. Now for the rest of you, while what that bastard said is true, I don't think it includes the embryo" Althea cursed Muku and then ignored him like a spoiled wife.

This made the others narrow their eyes a bit but none said anything.

After all, it was too crazy to think that anything could possibly happen between the two no matter how good-looking or good Muku was. Althea was just way out of his league... Only if they knew that the two had been having a secret tug-of-war behind the scenes for the last twenty years then they wouldn't think like that.

"So what you're saying is that if you stay in here and Muku goes back, then you can just come out on the other side right?" Emily asked rhetorically.

"Exactly. Now get ready, I can't wait to finally go to the so-called origin land" Althea spoke excitedly.

"Well, it's worth a try" Muku didn't refuse. He didn't mind taking her there. What could possibly go wrong right?

"Umm, before that, don't you all think that we're ignoring the elephant in the room?" Chloe suddenly spoke up.

"Huh, what's that? I don't see any problems here. We should go" Muku replied in a slightly panicked voice. Clearly trying to cover something up.

"Don't pretend. We all see Hope. Do you have something you want to say to us?" Chloe asked with an eye roll.

"W-what. What could possibly mean? I'm completely fine" Hope chimed in a completely unbelievable voice.

"Girl when was the last time you looked in a mirror? Chloe asked with a serious expression on her face.

"Huh? What do you mean? Hope asked. This time genuinely confused as well as glad that it seemed their secret hadn't been discovered.

"Elsa. If you don't mind" Chloe requested.

Without saying anything, Elsa snapped her fingers and created a water mirror in front of Hope.

"Oh my?!" Hope almost jumped in surprise after seeing her reflection.

Her fit and toned look was long gone and she currently leaned towards the chubby side and her tummy was significantly protruding.

Her body was practically screaming, "I'm pregnant!"

"What's going on?!" Hope asked in confusion.

"Don't pretend girl. It's obvious that you're pregnant. And I know you already knew. Considering that there's only one man in the group and you haven't interacted in private with any other man since the apocalypse began, I'd like to think he's the father. What do you think?" Chloe asked calmly.

She was releasing an unfamiliar pressure that suffocated Hope a bit.

"What are you implying? And even if I am pregnant, what if I did not do it on my own? With mana everything is possible. So why not this?" Hope still tried to fight back.

"It's over Hope. It's okay. We have kept the secret long enough. I told you back then that we should tell them about it before they found out for themselves. Anyway, everyone. Hope and I decided that we felt for each other in a way that wasn't very sibling-like. So we decided to stop being siblings and be lovers instead. Nothing was stopping us since there were no blood or legal ties after all. And before you ask, this started that day Emily angered her. So I'd say it's Emily's fault" Muku calmly explained everything then casually pulled Emily under the bus with them at the end.

Emily who was about to explode was instantly diffused. Then again, that anger wasn't that deep anyway, so it didn't take much to diffuse it.

After all, it was obvious to her and the other than Muku and Hope would definitely end up together long before it was clear to either of them.

The sexual tension between the two had been high ever since Muku returned from the beast world. And maybe Hope actually liked Muku long before that because her clinginess was definitely suspicious.

What pissed her off was how it was kept a secret from them for so long.

And they had long noticed the pregnancy between their breaks. They had expected someone to say something between the duo. But neither of them did. Now that just angered everyone present.

Accept for Audrey of course. The first wife was always aware of everything after all.

Of course, she would never reveal it even if she were beaten to death. She loved Muku as Hope to death but she refused to throw herself under the bus with them.

And so, she expertly pretended to be shocked and angered along with the rest.

Seeing this made Muku's lip twitch.

On that day he finally realised that beautiful women were definitely something to be feared.

How could the sweet Audrey be such a snake all of a sudden?

Sure she did nothing, but that didn't mean that she was innocent!

Hell, she was the one always encouraging him to go after the other girls. Yet she dared ditch him like that when everything was found out??

"Oh, and Audrey knew too. She knew from the first day. Whether it be the relationship or the pregnancy. She knew" Muku yanked Audrey from the sidelines and placed her beside him and Hope under the bus.

Audrey didn't know what to say so she just lowered her head in shame.

And the other girls were shocked, who thought of her as the most trustworthy person around.

Then again, considering that she didn't reveal Muku's secrets over the years, then maybe she really was that trustworthy... Right?

Even Hope was shocked, she didn't know that Audrey knew.

Embarrassment instantly hit her when she remembered how she borrowed Muku from Audrey with random excuses every time she wanted to do it. And it was a lot.

To someone who wasn't in the know. They wouldn't have thought too much of the reasons since they were reasonable enough.

But to someone in the know, it was obvious what was going to happen.

No wonder she always got those weird looks and smiles from Audrey every time.

{OMG I just want to drop dead and die right now! She must think that I'm an insatiable pervert!} Hope thought to herself as she covered her face with her hands and knelt to the ground and buried her head into her legs.

She wished the earth would just open up and swallow her up. Maybe she should ask Lisa to use that one spell?

"...." Chloe was speechless at that point. She didn't know how to continue after Audrey was brought into the matter.

"Well, when is the baby due? And why is she the only one pregnant and not me huh?!" Jade suddenly chimed in angrily.

Quite frankly it was obvious that she only cared about when the baby came and being pregnant too. Everything else was of no consequence to her.

"It's due when Hope wants it to be due. Of course, she only has a few more years to draw it out now. So maybe in 5 years maximum. As for why you aren't pregnant too, well you already know that this is like winning a lottery right? And it gets harder the more we advance so..." Muku replied seriously.

"Ah... So that means I have time to catch up?" Jade understood it in the way she wanted to.

And apparently, she wasn't the only one. The eyes of the other girls started glowing as they looked at Muku like hungry wolves.

Even Audrey who knew everything was not an exception. She had given up on having the oldest child or at least one born on the same day as Hope's until that day.

"Come here" Chlose suddenly grabbed Muku's hand in front of everyone's shocked eyes and walked off to her room.

It was obvious what she was planning on doing.

And no one stopped her. They all knew that she hadn't done it with him yet, so she was entitled to this much at least.

Freya and Lisa felt a bit regretful for being too slow and not as bold as her. If they were, maybe they would be the ones in her place.

Elsa looked on from the side with conflict in her eyes.

At that point, she was a mature lady like all the other girls. So the reality of the situation was starting to finally sink in.

The confusion was clearing up...
