Chapter 92: Split Part VI

Chapter 92: Split Part VI

“It’s called EXP hoarding system.” She slid the screen to the next page. “It’s for guild members to deposit half of their EXP from killing monsters and quests with the guild. And the EXP will be counted as guild’s property right away.”

“And why would they do that?”

“For the guild members to take it, making them level up without farming. And the guild leaders will be in charge of setting the trading rate.”

“I still don’t get it.”

“For example, you farm and give 5,000 points to the guild, so you can trade it with other members at the rate of 100 EXP to 1,000 coins, something like that.”

“Oh! So, it’s like farming the EXP for sale.”

“Correct. But it can be sold between the same guild members only.” The man nodded in understanding, finally. It seemed interesting though, at least for Manoch who was good at trading but not at fighting.

“And it can be traded with coins only, it can’t be items, right?”

“It can,” Maysa replied. “I think some bigger guilds will set many rates for trading. Like, they’ll accept coins for EXP less than one thousand points, but if it’s more than five thousand, they will accept some rare items instead.”

“It’s an interesting system for large guilds, Na. Those guilds have thousands of members. That’s why the leaders can’t take care of all of them thoroughly. And this EXP hoarding system will advantage the members with lower levels, helping them be able to participate more with the guilds and get the EXP in return.”

“Oh.” The man drawled like he agreed with the point that Waree said.

“Now, you’ve understood about this EXP hoarding system, right?” Maysa asked before she continued. “Then, I’m going to explain our plan.” After that, she closed that screen and opened a new one with a map on it instead.

Then an overview of the continent was displayed with a small blinking red dot to indicate their position.

“This is the Pride’s map. As you can see, we’re in Tristan, which is like the center of the Pride. And I want you and Nam to go here.” She said as she dragged a finger to the top of the screen.

“You want us to go north?” Waree who just walked up to cling on Wisana’s arm asked curiously.

“Yes. I want you guys to go to Dores town.”

“Dores?” Wisana raised eyebrows.

“It’s the town of hunting.” Maysa turned to smile at him. “Levels of the monsters there start at 50-60, which is very suitable for your level right now. And I want you to farm your level, as high as you can in this short period of time.”

“Town of hunting.” The listener repeated softly.

“I understand now. You want us to go to the association of hunters, right?”

“That’s right. You so get me, Nam, just like always.”

Waree smiled broadly at the compliment. Unlike the other man who kept scratching his head like his brain did not get developed to be faster just a little bit.

“You know how to get there, that Dores place?”

“Yes, I do,” Waree answered. “...that association is the best place to farm for levels in the game because they gather various kinds of monsters there in one place. Also, there are many quests to do. So, if you want to upgrade your levels fast, that is the perfect place for you.”

Wisana nodded. He understood what the chief of staff wanted him to do. But what he did not understand was why she wanted him to do it.

“Why do you want me to upgrade my levels, and why aren’t you coming with us?” The question of the dull one got Maysa making a tired face.

“I want to go with you, but I can’t. It’s not safe now.”

“Why is this?”

“First, the enemy already knows my face, unlike you who wear a mask to cover your face completely.” She explained. “If you travel without a mask on and use the name Wisana, the hunters who know you as Vincent won’t be able to find you. And even though Nam showed up at the award ceremony, there aren’t many clear pictures of her face. Also, her name hasn’t been revealed, yet.”

The reason got Wisana silent. His brown eyes glanced at the sister who was smiling so dryly somehow like she already knew that her brother would not agree to this plan so easily.

“You want me to run and hide alone, May? That’s not gonna happen. I’ll never leave you behind!” He argued very loudly that Manoch, who was feeding the birds, had to turn and look at them.

“Just calm down and listen.” Maysa scolded.

“No, no. This plan sucks. I’m totally not okay with it.” Wisana insisted with a stiff voice. “I can’t just run away and let you face those hunters alone. Also, if they already know your name, maybe they’ve found you by those cheating programs by now. That’s why I really can’t leave you alone.”

“Don’t worry. They haven’t found me. I’m sure. Or they would probably be here a long time ago if they did.” The gunner said plainly.

“Even so, I’m not...” The man paused before he could continue arguing when the hand of the one in front of him was touching his face softly. Her cute face had a delighted smile on, making him relieve the anxiety; her round grey eyes were looking at him calmly.

“It’s okay. You always trusted me, didn’t you? This time you don’t trust me anymore?” She asked with a sweet, cute-looking smile that looked cunning at the same time.

“I’m just worried that they might attack you when I’m not there.” His voice suddenly got softer.

“Don’t worry. I can take care of myself. Trust me.” Maysa repeated as she was caressing his cheek lightly, then she rolled her eyes like she just realized something. “Oh, and another thing, I’m not even asking you to run. Don’t forget that we’re not a small party anymore. We’re building a guild, boss. It’s time that we should separate and do our duties, isn’t it?”

Hearing that, Wisana let out a heavy sigh, getting ready to start a new argument. But when he saw her lively face, he just could not help but smile as well.

“You understand now right, boss?” She asked again. “So, you and Nam should be farming to upgrade your level, while you still have the chance. I will take care of finding new members to apply to our guild, as many as possible. And Ae will deal with some interesting shops to make them our partners. See? Everyone has a job to do. Why do you have to be so worried?”

Wisana laughed at his buddy’s words. Damn, he had to admit that her negotiation skills were out of this world. He actually stopped being worried for a bit now, because Maysa was going to travel with Manoch. Even though that guy could not help much with fighting, he was sure that their evil genius brains would get themselves out of trouble anyway.

“You’re good at talking, May.”

“Well, that’s my trademark.” She said, holding up peace fingers proudly.

“Then, you want Nam and me to hoard the levels for the guild, too, right?”
