Chapter 83: Thada’s Warning (1) Part IV

“You ...Thada?!”

She exclaimed the other’s name with shock. And after she could get a grip of herself, Maysa hurriedly put the blanket up to cover Wisana’s face immediately. The anxious act got a laugh from the watcher.

“Well, I got off my work now, Miss Maysa.” Thada smiled widely. “I’m not here, because I wanted to find out what Vincent’s face was like without the mask anyway.”

“Then, why are you here?” She asked curtly.

“You still like talking so cold to me, as usual,” he said slowly, while he was acting like he was hurt. “I just wanted to join a party. Didn’t mean to disturb you, or cause you any trouble.”

“But I don’t want to see your face!”

“Aw... I really do get hated a lot.” Thada’s smile looked so dry. It almost seemed like he was awkward by Maysa, too.

“Stop messing around. How did you find us?”

“Well, did you forget that I’m a GM?” He answered so leisurely, getting Maysa in a bad mood again. She realized that he was right. She forgot that a GM had the ability to find any players, also the ability to teleport to them anywhere in the game, too!

Damn it! So, no matter where they were hiding, this guy would be able to find them with just a snap of his finger. And this thought pissed Maysa off so much!

“But just like I said, I’m already off work now. So, may I join your celebration?”

“Sorry. The party’s over. And you should leave now.”

“Aw... what a shame.” Thada let out a long sigh before he sat down. “Then, may I have a word with you for a moment?” The request made her flinch.

“No, you may not! I don’t have anything to talk to you about. So, get out of my face now.”

She cut him off with no respect again, making the man raise his eyebrows and give her an amused smile like he was not minding any of this. The pair of amber eyes were staring at her from afar. But just a second later, the tall figure just suddenly stopped in front of her already.

Also, he even had his hands grabbing tightly on her shoulders!

“What are you doing?!” Maysa yelled in shock.

“That’s a good question,” he said, lips curling up into a cunning smile.

“Let go of me, jerk! You’re a GM, aren’t you? Why is a GM treating players like this?!”

“Did you misunderstand something?” The gentle voice said plainly as the sharp face leaned closer, making her skin crawl.

“I told you this was off my work time, so it means that I’m not a GM at the moment. So... me doing anything to anyone... is not against any rules of the GM, right?” The corner of his mouth curled up into a teasing smile, making her so nervous that it was hard for her to breathe. Her grey eyes were glancing at Wisana, not knowing what she should do.

“W... What are you doing? Let me go.” When she could not fight with strength, Maysa fought with her voice.

“If I let you go, would you listen to me?” Thada continued teasing her with a serious look in his eyes.

“No!” The thin lips said the word clearly. Even though she felt scared of him, her conviction was way higher than her fear. So, no matter how threatened she got, she would never surrender to anyone, especially, not to Thada, the one who she hated to the bone.

“(Sigh) Why do you resist me this much, Miss Maysa? I’m very curious to know now. You seemed like you were trying to get on my nerves the first time we met, too. Why? You don’t like me?”

“That’s right!” Maysa cried out. “I do hate the kind of person like you the most.”

Getting retorted in the face, even the kind of person like Thada was stunned, too.

“Why do you hate me so much?” His voice deepened a bit, while his face still looked smiley.

“No particular reasons. I just don’t like your smile, and your personality also. I don’t like that you like doing things so circuitously. It doesn’t feel like a man. You get that?!”

The young GM just snorted in his throat. His amber eyes were looking at the other man who was sleeping on her lap.

“Well, then how am I different from the person here,” he said. “He smiles so cunningly all the time. His personality is not like a man’s. He likes to mock people and does things circuitously as well. Like when he used Marcus as his base of popularity.”

The reply got the girl’s eyes widening. Her soft pretty face was tinted with red. Her pink lips were pressed together in a line, showing that she was extremely mad right now.

“Sure, he’s different. You don’t know Vincent well enough to talk about him like that.” She objected with a stiff voice. The rage in her voice could be heard more clearly than usual. “He’s a kind and gentleman. He likes to say things straightforwardly. He causes trouble sometimes, but he’s still way better than an unreasonable man like you!”

The man let out a laugh after he heard that.

“Okay, so, I’m an unreasonable man to you, huh?” Thada spoke. “Then, you wouldn’t mind, if I do something unreasonable for another time, right?”

After that, the tall man started squeezing her shoulders tightly again. He leaned in closer until she could feel his warm breath. The girl widened her eyes when she realized what the man was going to do to her.

This guy was trying to kiss her!

“What are you doing, jerk. Let me go!” Maysa tried to wiggle off as she was screaming at the top of her lungs.

“I’m doing the unreasonable thing.”

“Let me go!!”

Even though she knew that she could not fight him, she still kept on fighting. He was a lot stronger than her, so she could not do anything, except turn her face away. She looked away when he was moving closer, too. And eventually, her eyes caught on the blanket that was covering Wisana.

And then, for some reason that she did not even understand, her tears were falling down uncontrollably. Her chest felt strung with guilt that she could not explain why she had to feel this kind of way.

“...”

Actually, Thada had stopped his action since she was quiet down. And when he saw the other one start sobbing, he let out a long sigh, realizing that he had gone too far again. So, the man let go of her shoulders carefully.

“What are you doing, Da?!” A stiff voice came, making Maysa get herself together again. When she turned to look at it, she saw Waree standing there with an extremely panicked look.

After realizing that her arms were free now, the gunner punched the man in front of her with full force. The one who just got attacked stepped back, holding his hurt face in no time.

“Ow!! I was just teasing, and you really had to punch me?! Damnit, you really know how to punch, huh!”

“You ...deserved it for doing ...that to me!” Maysa retorted, even though she could not stop sobbing yet. Waree saw that and hurriedly rushed in to hold her friend right away.

“What have you done to May, Da!” She bawled.

“Are you crazy, Nam? I didn’t do anything more than a little teasing.”

“What on earth was your teasing? She’s crying now.” Getting chastised twice in a row, the GM got silent. He was scratching his cheek for a moment awkwardly before he looked up at the black-haired girl who was now crying like a child. His face looked totally ashamed.

“Well, ...I guess I’ve gone a little bit too far. I’m sorry, Miss Maysa. I didn’t mean to harass you. It was just that you kept yelling at me all the time, so, ...anyway, I’m terribly sorry.”

The other one did not reply. She was just clinging to Waree tight like she was trying to hide her tears from the man she hated the most. And Waree just kept rubbing her temple tensely.

“You really don’t know your limit, Thada.” Waree sighed, before starting to lecture him. “It’s not like every woman will like it when you tease them like this. You always come up with a weird prank. I knew this would cause you trouble someday, and here it is...”

“I know, it’s my fault. I’m sorry,” Thada said weakly. The look that he always kept was now totally destroyed.

After they tried to soothe Maysa for a while, she finally looked up at both of them. She looked back and forth between Waree and Thada for a moment, before she asked confusedly.

“Wait, do you two ...know each other?!” The other two caught eyes for a moment before Waree was the one who answered.

“Yeah, something like that.”
