Chapter 80: Thada’s Warning (1) Part I
Chapter 80: Thada’s Warning (1) Part I
“Cheers!!” A shout came in the middle of a joyful scene. The four cups bumped against each other formally, before people who were holding them drank up the pink drink inside.
“I still can’t believe that our plan would be so successful like this!” A joyful voice came from the same old sassy one as he was smiling so happily that it started to look annoying now.
“Me neither, bro. When that Marcus jumped up to pick a fight, I really thought that you would get killed there.” The younger one across from him said slowly. His eyes behind the glasses looked spaced out somehow.
“Hey, you underestimated me, Ae. How could I lose to some noob like that?!”
“Wait, you’re right. You never lose. Even that Inferno boss, you’ve already kicked his butt, too!”
“That’s how you say it, lil bro. So, bottom up.”
“Bottom up!”
They both, who just filled their cups with the pink drink, drank it all up in one go again, before they started picking up some chopsticks around there to drum on an empty glass as they sang joyfully.
“Boss Manoch, would you like to refill your drink?” A round robot asked, holding a tray with a glass bottle with a label saying pink cocktail – alcohol 30% for them.
“Sure, fill it up, dude. Why bother asking such a thing.” Manoch replied with a red face.
“What about you, Sir Wisana?”
“Full cup, Richie.”
“Yes, sir!!” The round robot named Richie affirmed with a clear voice, before pouring the drink into these two drunk heads’ cups, who were very close to being blacked out. Especially, the black-haired man whose head was now messed up. His face was reddened, and his hand was swinging the red scarf left and right.
The silly acts made the other girls at the table shake their heads wearily.
“I think we made the right decisions to not join them there and have the alcohol-free party here by ourselves,” a small voice said, sounding so fed up with the guys.
“I think they’re kind of cute.” The other girl across the table said as she giggled.
“Well, I think your definition of cute is kind of strange then, so you’re able to think that these drunks are cute. Look, they’ve been yelling nonsense now. Good thing that we came up here to celebrate on a mountain like this. If we had stayed in the city, these two would have caused some trouble for sure,” Maysa said, hands rubbing in her temples.
Right now, she and her party were having a party to celebrate the success of their play at the top of Endel mountain. Even though it was in Tristan, this place was isolated from people. Because there were not any interesting monsters around, and it was not a passageway to any dungeons. That was why this was a suitable place for them to party after their plan went so well at the award ceremony of the year.
However, the thing that was worrisome was that when their feast started, Manoch and Wisana had been pouring the strong cocktail down their throats as well. Then they started rolling around on the picnic mats in the middle of the forest mountain. Eventually, the other two girls decided to move away, because they could not stand them being loud and reeking with the booze!
“Well, I can’t believe that everything would turn out, according to what you calculated, either,” Waree started a new topic after emptying her soda cup. The young face of the one who just got complimented had a slight smile on it.
“It’s my only skill that I can be bragging about, I guess.”
“No. You’re a genius,” the woman said with a clear voice. “That’s why Na trusts you so much. But to be honest, at first, I was doubting your plan, too. But then your plan went perfectly until the end. I’m very impressed,” she said, before letting out a giggle. Then Maysa joined in.
“The incredible one is you, Nam,” the gunner girl said, smiling. “You could stand in Marcus’s way with a straight face like that. To be real, when I was planning it, I thought about some players with the range of levels around 80-90, who would not stand Wisana being cocky. But when it turned out to be that guy, my heart dropped to the floor, really. We were so lucky that you could stop the man, or Wisana would have been so dead by now.”
She said as she was conducting herself to match her words, looking so intense that got Waree laughing again.
“Yeah, it was so great that everything went according to the plan.” Waree nodded before she sighed. Her green eyes were looking at the packages piling not so far away. “Well, the prizes we got were quite too many, though.”
“Yep.” Maysa followed her gaze. “They were the last huge events of the year so, they made it like a clearance sale. Which is good, actually. I even got a bike.”
“The items we got are all good stuff, making the other players envy us so much now.”
“Well, they were meant for a big guild that would win the events anyway, which was why there were so many and valuable. So, it was normal. The abnormal thing was that just the three of us killing that boss.”
“You may be right.”
Waree said as she giggled, eyes looking at the boxes of the prize they got from the boss hunting and the photo event quietly.
After Marcus retreated, they started the award ceremony, claiming their prizes which were one million coins, the Lanova, and the illusion gun, the rank S item Maysa chose. Just the name of the item got the audience acclaim. Probably because the item she requested was a very rare item with attack points up to 850 and many other special skills. But most importantly, there were only two pieces of the item on the Thai server. One was in Maysa’s inventory right now, and the other one was owned by one of the four gods.
“I’ve always wanted to have this gun, you know,” Maysa said with a pleased face while she was rubbing the shining silver object in her hands lovingly.
“Of course. There’re only two of them in this server, too, right?”
“That’s just one reason,” she said as she shrugged. “The most important thing is that this will get me one more step closer to being the game’s first ranked gunner. So, you know who owns the other illusion?”
“Yeah, I guess I do.” The answer that got the other one nodding with excitement.
“She’s a female player, just like me. Her playstyle is even similar to mine. So, I think if I’ll have to challenge her who is the god of Pride, maybe I need a weapon that is a match for her level a bit. Am I making sense, Nam?”
“Yes, you are. The other one is the four gods anyway,” Waree said with an amused smile when she found that her new friend was very satisfied with the newest weapon in her hands.
“Not only that we just made the greatest guild debut, but we also got many items to build ourselves up. This totally was like hitting two birds with one stone.” Maysa said, changing the topic to the one sitting in front of her.
“Say, you requested an interesting item, too.”
