“To not waste your time anymore, shall we start the special event now, Thada?”

“Yes, we shall,” the man smiled as he replied. “The next event is the event many of you’ve been looking forward to, the award ceremony for the winners of the events ‘get the shot if you dare’ and ‘hunting of Lord Inferno’.”

“That’s right,” June said with a lively voice. “But before we invite the winners to the stage, would you bring the prizes up here to show them to everyone?”

“Yes, I will.” After he finished, the young GM snapped his fingers. Suddenly, each prize appeared at the back of the stage. “And this one here is the prize for the winner of the event ‘get the shot, if you dare’, the Lanova bike, that has yet to be put up for sale anywhere.”

After that, a pretty red motorbike appeared from the stage floor, causing a sensation among the guests overwhelmingly. This bike did not have wheels, because it could float above the ground. And its size was large enough to carry two or three people on it.

Thada sounded out and got the loudest cheer in response. Because many of them were here just to see the winners of the events!

“Then I won’t waste your time any further. Let’s meet our winners, Maysa and Vincent!”

His voice ended and the exciting music started playing. The audience acclaimed out with excitement. The spotlights were searching around to find the winners who might be among the crowd.

But the time passed, and there was not any trace of them.

Then the crowd’s noise faded down, as well as the music stopped.

The spotlight kept searching. And June gave Thada side-eyes, looking anxious. But the man was still smiling, even in a situation like this.

It did not seem that Vincent and Maysa would show up anytime soon, but he still believed that they definitely would come here. Thada’s expression looked relaxedly calm, as did Marcus’, who was sitting at the front row of the grandstand, closest to the stage. The huge guy with dreadlocks was smirking savagely there.

“...Get your butt here now, Vincent,” the hoarse voice spoke.

“Maybe he won’t come, boss.”

Wittaya, the small man sitting next to him, whispered to his boss. But the boss shook his head as he let out a slight chuckle.

“Yes, he will. I’m sure.”

At that moment, the entire dome went completely quiet. So quiet that even the sound of a dropped needle might be heard throughout the area. Many of the audience started looking at each other with doubtful eyes.

“Hey guys! There’s something in the sky!”

Suddenly a voice shouted, making everyone in the dome look up in the sky in unison. Then their eyes went wider because, up there, a blazing flame appeared, looking like a pair of wings. And it was flying straight into the dome!

“Is ...isn’t it falling on here?!”

“What is that?!”

Many of the players started getting panicked, some of them even thought it was a meteorite crashing on them. Except for Thada, the only one who grinned so widely, before he said.

“...You’re finally here.”

In the blink of an eye, the fireball flew past the dome quickly. It went over the top of the grandstand, getting right to the stage, making the GM trainee scream out loud!

When it touched the stage, the flame blasted all over, spreading up almost as high as the ceiling. The players around there needed to cover their faces from the heat. Then the flame started stirring, getting pulled back to the middle of the stage.

The blazing flame was gone, leaving just the heat and smoke spread everywhere. It was strange that the stage was not burned, showing that the fire was not intended to harm anyone, it was just used to show off the hotness of the user. That was all.

The layer of smoke started to fade away, revealing two figures of a man and a woman standing tall on the stage.

The black-haired man was wearing a mask, covering up half of his face. He was wearing a white shirt that was topped with a knee-length leather coat, contrasting with the red scarf that was waving slightly.

And the girl kept her black hair in a loose braid, letting it fall down on her left shoulder. She was dressed in a dark-colored shirt and the same with a short skirt. Her light purple tie was waving to the wind. Her long, slender legs were covered in purple fishnet tights and a pair of black high-top boots.

Noticeably, they both had a symbol of a winged goddess. The man’s was on the back of his coat, while the girl’s was a pin on her tie.

“Sorry, we’re late.” The soft, gentle voice of the man who came with the fire said plainly, but it was reverberating for everyone to hear it.

The stadium was covered in silence. Every eye was looking at the two who just made an incredibly extreme debut. Luckily, the GM trainee like June was quick to get herself together again. Then, she walked up to them.

“Er... hello, may I ask that you are...?”

“You’re the one who invited us here, and you don’t know who we are?”

The girl replied smilingly before she glimpsed at the man who came with her.

“I’m Maysa.”

She answered confidently, while the man next to her let out a chuckle.

“S... so, mister masked man here is?”

When June pointed at the tall guy in the long coat, he then put on a smile.

“Vincent.”

After the man in an Anubis mask said his name, the acclaim came resoundingly, making the whole dome vibrate like this was exactly what they had been expecting for so long. And with the furiously hot debut, the crowd went wild. Thada grinned widely with satisfaction, and Marcus was gazing at Vincent tensely.

At the moment when Maysa caught eyes with Thada for the first time, she gave him a defensive smirk, raising her eyebrows cockily. The slender figure walked to him, before she whispered.

“I came here as you invited me, Mister Thada.”

The sweet voice sounded mocking, but the other just responded with a slight smile.

“I see, and I’m so glad that you made my night special, Miss Maysa.”

“It’s still too soon to be glad, Mister Thada. We’re just getting started.”

She concluded just to leave him curious before she turned to join her buddy in waving and greeting the audience of more than eighty thousand people who were chanting the name Vincent loudly.
