Chapter 706: The Start of The Meeting Part I

“Mom!!”

The boy shouted so loudly and sprung up from his bed. He was panting and sweating. His amber eyes looked around the room scrutinizingly. Everything was so quiet. The ticking of the clock on the table was so rhythmical that the memories started to flow out madly.

It was the longest nightmare he had ever had.

Wisana was still sitting on his bed as if he was still confused about what had happened. It was a borderline between the dream world and reality. He slowly touched his ear and the PM that he used to link himself with the Pride world.

He took it out before he massaged between his eyebrows. He blinked continuously.

‘...Mom.

Yes, mom. She’s in danger.

Focus, Na!!

You have to get out of here and head to Chiang Mai!

No matter what, You have to rush to Chiang Mai as soon as possible!’

Then, the man sprung out of the bed. He grabbed his jeans and his white shirt and put them on, while his other hand searched for his phone, car key, and wallet.

Bam!

The door to his bedroom swung open and the man rushed out. He did not even say anything to Waree, who was sleeping in the next room. The sky was still dark. The clock on the wall said that it was only 4.20 a.m.

Wisana decided to place a note on Waree’s door, saying “Going to see mom in Chiang Mai. Don’t worry”. Then, he hurriedly put on his sneakers. He could only think about the image of his mom being swallowed by all those flames.

“Wisana!”

However, a woman was there in his path with a worried face.

Wisana seemed surprised because the woman should not have been here in the first place, especially at this time of day.

“Aum?”

He was in awe. The plump lady was in sweet pink pajamas, yet her face showed utter awkwardness. Aum was the owner of this apartment. It was strange that she was here now, especially when he was in a hurry.

“I’m sorry, Aum, but I’m in a hurry. If anything, please talk to Nam.”

Wisana was in a rush. He was about to run past her.

Aum grabbed his arm.

“You can’t, Wisana. You can’t go anywhere now.” She looked serious.

“Aum?” Wisana raised his eyebrow. “Aum, I’m really in a hurry. Please let me go.”

“Don’t worry. The organization is urgently taking Viola to the headquarters to retrieve her brain waves as we speak. She should arrive at Pride headquarters in thirty minutes.”

“...What?”

The man halted.

The amber eyes narrowed while he looked at the woman in front of him scrutinizingly. It had been about five seconds after they looked each other in the eye when his brain finished calculating. He, then, brushed her hand off.

“E... Even you are a part of the organization?”

“....”

Aum did not say anything. She did not even look him in the eye.

“That’s right. She’s one of us.”

Before he could say anything more, a sweet voice sounded from behind.

And it was such a familiar voice. He turned back and saw a woman. She was in a scientist gown, putting her hand on her waist. Her short black hair surrounded her sweet face. The amber eyes were unique.

“Dah?”

Wisana called her name softly.

She was his biological older sister.

“Wisana.”

She called his name back softly before she breathed in so hard that she swayed. She gathered all her courage and spoke with a serious face.

“An order from the organization says that you should report there immediately, Vincent, the King of Both Worlds.”

----------------

Silence slowly overtook the place until it was suffocating. The siblings looked at each other as if they were reading minds. Inside the black limousine, where the back seats were put to face each other, Wisana stared at his sister without saying anything.

He tried his hardest to hold everything back. Even though the situation now was a mess, he did not know how he could be this calm. His heart was pounding so fast. Fear slowly crept into him. His hands were squeezed tightly against each other and they were sweating.

However, the fear was not towards the organization or the forceful situation right now. It was more like fear of losing, fear of knowing the truth, and fear of the world that he was walking into. The parallel world that everyone turned into someone he did not know anymore!

Without anyone telling him, he strangely learned everything by himself as if his brain was digging what he wanted to know out for him.

It was the ability of Whisper...

“You’re not going to ask anything?”

Suddenly, Wipada, his sister, asked with a straight face. She stared at Wisana as if she was gluing him into his seat. However, Wisana chose to smile.

“What do you want me to ask?” He asked back. “Your real identity? Are you really my sister? What am I? What will happen to me next? Or what the hell is this son of a bitch organization that I’m visiting?”

The last words got the driver looking at him through the rear-view mirror. It did not concern Wisana. Wipada expected this reaction from his brother.

“With me, it’s fine, Vincent, but if you talk like that with those people in the organization, you won’t get away with it.”

“Vincent?” Wisana chuckled. “So I’m Vincent for you now, huh?”

The girl halted a little.

“And what do you want me to call you?” She asked.

“Shut the hell up.”

This time, his amber eyes were glowing so brightly in a way that she had never seen before. The eyes were shining through the darkness of the night sky.

So, this was the power of the king?

“I don’t want to listen to trashy babbling from you lots anymore. What I want to know is the truth and my mom’s safety. If you’re being tricky with me, I won’t spare you, Dah. Stop spewing out shit and get me to mom as fast as you can. Don’t expect me to talk before I see her.”

The immense pressure got Wipada sweating. Even the driver was swallowing his saliva and loosening up his tie. They felt like it suddenly got warmer that it was suffocating.

The sister still showed nothing through her facial expression.

She only sighed softly and nodded.

“Understood. I’ll take you to mom first. You have to understand that it’s useless to make a scene there. So, from here on, don’t do anything stupid.”

----------------

At the Pride headquarters.

It was the thirty-five-story building in the middle of the Thong Lor district. Even though it was a little over five in the morning, the lights in the headquarters were still so bright as if it had never been sleeping. The black limousine slowly pulled in at the entrance of the building. Two men in suits ran to the car and opened the door to the back seat like a bellboy in a hotel.

Wisana and Wipada got out of the car. There were over ten people in black standing around there already. Their hands were all in their pockets as if they were ready to take something out of there at any time. Seeing that, Wisana clenched his fists with caution.

“No need. He understands everything.” Wipada said indifferently and turned to Wisana. “Follow me and remember not to do anything stupid.”
