Chapter 704: Viola (End) Part VI
Chapter 704: Viola (End) Part VI
“W... Why?! Why did you do it? I... I don’t understand you!”
Viola smiled. She slowly raised her hand up to touch her son’s cheek gently.
“Viola!”
Sander eventually ran to them. Sven was standing a little further away, being mindful just in case Lucius decided to attack. Strangely, Lucius seemed to be in shock.
“...I’m not going to make excuses,” Viola said softly. “Everything you heard was true. You’re an experiment created by a genetic modification like no other. And I’m the one who trained you to be able to control your power. I’m not denying that I’m the worst mother in the world.”
Wisana could not say anything. He tried to stop her bleeding, but nothing worked!
“But what I want you to know is that I love you very much. I love you more than anything. You’re not only a creation. You’re my future, my hope...”
“..T... That’s enough. Anyone, please help and stop the bleeding!”
His throat was so hot and dry
“And please remember this, Wisana.” Viola continued. “..Remember that this woman, whom you’ve been calling mom for the past twenty years, will never betray you. I’ll always stand on your side. I didn’t raise you to be a tool to anyone. I raised you to be able to fight your own destiny. You may not understand me and will be even angrier with me and that’s alright. But don’t do that again. Don’t throw your life away like that... If you don’t want to do it, don’t. This is your destiny. You choose and walk on your own path.”
Wisana wanted to say something, but he could not. Everything was so dark and went by so fast.
His headache acted up again. He was so confused he wanted to cry.
He hesitated to believe in his mom again.
“Let’s talk later.” Sander crouched next to Wisana. “Healing Viola is out of the question now that we have to run away from here as fast as we can. The Jammer Effect’s starting to surround us.”
“What do you mean, Jammer Effect?” Wisana raised his eyebrow.
“Because Lucius used too much of his power and Alice system, so the force field around here is twisted,” Sander explained. “Like what happened in Dores. If we die during the Jammer Effect, the brain wave will be badly jammed. The core of the brain can be destroyed or sucked into the main server.”
“...I don’t understand!?” The boy shook his head.
“To make it simple, you may be sucked into the main server of Pride and never come back again. You’ll be stuck here like those Cores!”
The clear explanation got Wisana gritting his teeth.
“If we’re running... what about Jinnie?!”
“Hey, I don’t want to interfere, but we have to leave now.”
Sven shouted and the two men turned to him.
Seeing Sven so restless while looking up at the sky, both Sander and Wisana looked up. What they saw almost stopped Wisana’s heart. There was a gigantic energy ball that was gathering so much power around it that the air started to twist.
The sky started to rumble, the same as the ruby-red eyes of the red-haired man. He raised his hands above his head to create the biggest energy ball he had ever made.
“Annoying... So annoying, every one of you.”
He murmured while looking at Viola, who was severely injured because of him. His heart ached, even though he had sworn that he would let go of every human emotion.
What about it?
In the end, he hurt Viola...
The woman he loved.
This was enough. He did not want to suffer anymore. Enough.
“You... Every one of you... must be gone from this world!!”
The shout created immense pressure that everyone had to cover their face because of the impact. Sander gritted his teeth while looking at his childhood friend, who now seemed to have lost it.
“This is bad. That man lost it and can’t really control his Signetic anymore. Lucius is killing us all!” He squeezed Wisana’s shoulders to call him back to reality. “Boy, we have to leave. If we die here, we’re doomed!”
“Alright!” Wisana tried to push his mom up. “Be strong. We have to leave first and we’ll come back for him later. Can you stand?”
He slowly carried her up. However, Viola did not care about what he was doing. She kept repeating the same thing over and over again as if she had gone crazy.
“Remember this, Wisana. You must fight your own fate. Don’t let anyone use you or tell you that it’s your duty. There’s no such thing in the first place. Do what you believe in. Continue to live. Promise me.”
“We’ll talk later. We have to run.”
Wisana tried to put his arms under her wings, but she did not let him. She grabbed his face and turned her way so their eyes could meet.
“Promise me that you’ll fight your destiny!”
Wisana barely understood what was happening. Even so, his mom’s eyes shone so brightly with determination that he could feel it. The eyes that would never betray him no matter what.
“I promise.”
She beamed and pulled his face closer to her. She gave him a kiss on his cheek before she whispered into his ears...
“I love you more than anything.”

No one had expected that. Everyone looked at what Viola had just done with an alarming face, even Sander, Sven, and those who were running towards them.
Wisana was slashed without him even realizing it...
He was slashed in a straight line. His blood splattered everywhere.
And it was his mom’s doing!
The amber eyes were opened so widely. He could only murmur ‘Mom...’ very softly. He did not even know what happened to him. Every part of his body was so numb.
“Ran!!”
Viola shouted her best friend’s name before she pushed Wisana to the master of the Magic Warriors. The boy got into Sander’s arm with no control over his body.
“Viola?” He called his best friend’s name softly.
Once he saw her eyes, he knew right away what Viola was about to do. He did not say anything more.
“Take care of my son for me.” She smiled.
“M... Mom?”
Wisana could only stare at his mom without any understanding at all.
That was when everyone got there. Nuchjaree was the first one to rush to Wisana before she glared at Viola. As for Maysa, she narrowed her eyes and looked at the Goddess of War with so much doubt. There were six small fairies who helped carry Shindanai, Waree, and Sarquros.
“Auntie, what happened? Why did you do that to Wisana?!” Nuchjaree asked.
Viola did not answer. She looked up into the sky.
The energy ball was expanding. It was about twenty meters in diameter now.
“Ran, quick! Go!”
Viola shouted. Sander gritted his teeth tightly.
Sander hesitated to do what his best childhood friend wanted him to do. He knew full well what Viola was about to do. Their bond was gluing him here. Viola knew that Sander was hesitating, so she smiled at him. It was the gentlest smile ever.
“It’s not a forever goodbye, my friend. We’ll meet again. I promise.”
Sander let out a short sigh before he carried Wisana up on his shoulder.
“Lala.” He muttered.
“Yes, master. Alexander’s already rescued every single player and will be here in seconds.”
A sweet voice rang from Sander’s personal communication channel. He turned to the kids.
“Listen up, everyone. Right now, Tristan’s surrounded by a force field called the Jammer Effect. If we game over here, it’ll cause so much damage to the brain while we’re connected to Pride. Therefore, we have to leave here as soon as possible.”
“What about Lucius?”
Maysa asked. She looked up at the man who was still trying to expand his energy ball.
“Let him be!” Sander yelled at her. “Right now, your lives are what matter most. Lucius’s serious. He’ll kill us all here. Don’t worry about anything and run.”
