Lucius was not joking. Once the spear was stabbed at him, he only had to lean back, and the Longinus got under his arm. Lucius locked the spears with his arm so tightly that Shin could not do anything.

In that split second, Lucius put his hand on Shin’s chest so delicately. He grinned. Shin could only open his eyes wide!!

“Shin, that’s enough. Lucius, let him go. He’s not involved in any of this. Come at me instead!”

Valentine said. Her face was covered with tears. Even so, she was full of anger. Lucius scoffed.

He did not hesitate to fly up into the sky. No one could have guessed what he would do. Shin gritted his teeth so tightly and struggled to get himself up. However, so many of his bones had been broken and severe injuries got him breathless!

At that moment, Lucius called up another huge energy ball. The whole city trembled at the sight of it. Valentine opened her eyes widely, speechless.

“Huh~ Here we go again. It’s not the time just yet and you’re erasing Tristan off the map already.”

Scarlet could only massage her temple wearily. Shin was still speechless. The big red energy ball was like a smaller version of the sun. The massive pressure got him gritting his teeth so tightly. He glanced at his sister and saw that she was so shocked she went stiff.

“...S... Shit.”

“I must admit that you’re really tough, kid. Let’s see if you can endure this, hunter.”

Lucius grinned and swung his hand down. The ball slowly dropped to the ground.

The trembling was a sign of disaster. Shin gritted his teeth so tightly. He stared at the energy ball and knew right away that it would definitely wipe the whole city off the ground if he let it crash. He glanced at his sister again. Valentine was still there, knowing nothing to do.

“S... Shit. Who would have let it happen?!!”

Shin shouted so loudly and bit his lip until blood seeped out of it. Seeing that, Scarlet narrowed her eyes.

“That kid... Don’t tell me he still wants to fight?”

Shin did not hesitate to burst out all of his leftover power. Even though he could not even stand up, once the golden glow covered him, he flew up to the sky as fast as a bullet!

Lucius raised his eyebrow in surprise. What was more surprising was that Shin decided to call up his Longinus and dashed at the energy ball without fear.

“Hey, hey, are you committing suicide, kid?”

Lucius broke a sweat. It was the first time for him that he could not even guess what this kid was about to do.

The crusader hit the energy ball directly. His HP was drained out like a waterfall at the very first moment they touched. It was clear how powerful the energy ball was. Even so, the lavender eyes did not show weakness.

Even though it was so painful, the crusader gritted his teeth and tried his best to push the energy ball back.

“...Shit... Who would have let this happen? D... Down there... There’re people I have to protect. I... I won’t break a promise I have... with her... Not in a million years!!”

Shin forced every bit of his power out to fight. Even with only one arm, his heart was the strongest. Even Scarlet was amazed. As for Lucius, there was no smile on his face anymore.

Even though he was giving his all, only his mental push was not enough to slow the energy ball down. Shin glanced down again. It was so close to the ground. The whole city was doomed!

Even Valentine and Scarlet had to crouch down. It was proof of how powerful the explosion was.

Even Lucius seemed to be surprised.

It was not about the explosion, but Shin’s decision. That boy chose to break through it right before it hit the ground and wipe Tristan off the map.

The flames were still gushing out and Lucius was still there, being surprised by Shin’s decision.

A battle cry was heard.

The red eyes swung open widely!

“T... This voice? Is it that boy!?”

Suddenly, a tall figure dashed out of the smoke in front of him. It was faster than before. Lucius could only be mesmerized by it. Other than destroying the energy ball, this boy also survived the life-or-death situation!!

Shindanai was there, all worn out. His clothes were all torn apart. He was still holding on to his Longinus in his right hand. His purple eyes glowed brightly!
