Chapter 675: The Three Monsters and The Battle of The History (End) Part V

“..W... What the hell... You’re still resisting?!”

Lavi could not believe what was happening.

He had never seen anyone this reckless. He was being attacked continuously, yet he still resisted and tried to part all the swords to get to him.

Lavi’s attack actually worked. Marcus was like a honeycomb now. The healing ability was doing its best, yet the attacks did not give it time to do its job. Even so, Marcus still cautiously walked up to Lavi so determinedly. His beastly eyes stared at the enemy.

The spectators were mad now. Some were cheering on Marcus since he would definitely be the winner if he could endure this. Some were hoping he would collapse because this looked like the last bit of Lavi!!

“....”

Lavi could not say anything. He could only watch the big man walking towards him. The black eyes shone brightly with amazement. Eventually, the small man smiled.

“I have to give you this, Marcus. You’re too reckless to be true, damn it. I’ll remember you as a man who had pushed me into the corner this far.”

The last sentence was out at the same time when the showers of swords stopped. There was no space left to see on Marcus’s body. He could barely move. Even so, the beast finally approached Lavi. Even though he could not do anything, the beastly eyes still glowed and stared at Lavi.

Lavi grinned. The last sword moved into his hand smoothly. He looked at Marcus and sighed heavily.

“Thank you, Marcus. I had so much fun.” He smiled. “Train more and I’ll see you later, my friend.”

It was a powerful last hit. Lavi’s smile and the Bloody Mask slowly faded. The beast fell to the ground.

The magic field tardily disintegrated.

Silence overtook the area again. Swords on Marcus’s body slowly faded away one by one. The black eyes were opened and he looked at the small man above him. Neither of them smiled.

They looked each other in the eye as if to communicate something. Marcus scoffed softly and put his face down on the ground.

“Yeah, I lost.”

Lavi smiled with satisfaction. The audience roared again.

----------------

“The final result of the fight of history’s here. It was over in almost half an hour. The winner is Lavi of the Pandora!”

The female reporter excitedly spoke to the camera before her. She was still flying in the helicopter above the city. She pointed below with her hand for everyone to see.

“It was such a breathtaking battle. I can’t believe they’re this beastly. There’s no doubt why they’re the key men of this war. Mr. Marcus showed us how fired up he can be. Mr. Vincent taught us to never give up and those unique moves that were hard to imitate. As for Mr. Lavi, he was so invincible, as expected of the number one in Pride.”

She looked below and told the camera to follow.

“Look at the audience. They stopped fighting to watch the showdown and are cheering so loudly. They’ve seen one of the historical fights that even I know how that feels. Right now that the fight of the three greatest warriors has... fini...shed...”

She halted. Her eyes were opened so widely they almost popped out of their sockets. She opened and closed her mouth like a goldfish.

“T... That’s impossible.” She murmured.

----------------

“Ho! You’re so late, kid.”

Meanwhile, where Viola was sitting, she tried so hard to hold her laughter while looking at the battle with a satisfying smile.

“I knew that they wouldn’t be able to leave a scratch on you. If you’re finished just because of that, you’re not worthy of being my son, brat.”

----------------

In the middle of the battlefield, everything went silent again.

How many times had it been flipping back and forth like this? However, this time was the most surprising one. The man, who had never disappointed anyone, was back in the field again, even though he looked so weak right now. His amber eyes shone so brightly that Lavi opened his mouth widely.

“Na!!”

Maysa was the first to shout.

“Leader!”

“Leader’s alive.”

“How can that be? Is he immortal?!”

They shouted in awe. The cheering roared up again, even from Maysa. They started to think that Vincent really was immortal!!

“Hahahaha. Looks like the fight’s far from over.”

Marcus growled on the floor.

“Vincent still has some juice in him. You’re going to be worn out, Lavi.”

“I knew it.”

Lavi muttered. He smiled awkwardly while a big drop of sweat appeared on his cheek. He stared at the man before him.

“Have you waited long, Lavi?”

Wisana grinned. His upper clothes were so torn, and he barely had anything on. His body was full of bruises. There was still a clear fist mark from Marcus at his ribs.

“From the look of it, I don’t have to guess how you survived Marcus’s attack.”

Lavi tried to joke around. Wisana smiled.

“I’ll make you pay for my clothes, Marcus.”

He talked to Marcus, who was laughing like a madman.

“Hahahaha. Don’t run your mouth, brat. It’s quite surprising that you have the rogue’s molting skill, but before you think about me, go past Lavi first!”

Lavi and Wisana looked each other in the eye again.

As for Marcus, he was still laughing profusely. Even though he lost, he lost with pride. Now, he was only a spectator, witnessing the new Pride’s strongest man!!

“Molting skill?”

Valentine turned to Maysa. She seemed like she wanted to smile, but she could not.

“Yes, that’s one of his abilities.”

Maysa smiled a little and stood tall again, even with tears in her eyes. She tried to hold it in and cheered for Wisana.

Yes, he used the molting skill once when he was fighting ‘Lucy’, one of Lala’s personas. It allowed the user to evade anything a hundred percent, in exchange for a piece of cloth.

Of course, Wisana chose to sacrifice his worn-out shirt to evade Marcus’s attack. It was a worthy decision made within the blink of an eye!

Then, what would this fight become after this?!

Wisana was weak and Lavi had already used up all his power with Marcus. Everyone thought the same thing. They all wanted to know who would win the fight.

“Let’s end this, Lavi.”

Wisana said among the loud cheer.

“I agree, Vincent. Let’s end this in a single blow.”

Then, both of them started to walk and keep an eye on each other. They were trying to find the middle ground for the ending of this fight of history.

They stopped.

Wisana and Lavi were in a ready position.

“I have to admit that you’re the most difficult one that I’ve ever fought before, Vincent. Lavi smiled. “You’re the first who destroyed all my weapons and the first to make me think twice about how to take you down.”

“You, too, Lavi.” Wisana smiled. “Even though I’ve fought someone better than you, you’re the best of the best in my league. Damn it, I’m so happy we’re here today. I swear I won’t be able to die peacefully if I don’t get to fight you.”

“Yeah, we’re the same.”

They paused. And it was Lavi who made a move first. He called his last sword from behind him. It looked different than any of the previous ones. The blade was big and black. It was also electrical.

“This is my best one, Vincent. No one’s ever made me use it before.”
