Chapter 661: The Three Monsters and The Three Battles of The History (1) Part I

BOOM!!!

The explosion was so loud as the flames gushed out of the ground like a fire tower. The heat wave was so strong that the players stopped fighting and turned to it.

That included the man on the highest building of Tristan like Lucius. His ruby-red eyes narrowed as he stared at the flame tower. It was the first time that a cool man like him ever showed his emotion through his facial expression, even if it was just a little.

“That fire...”

Scarlet said in a low voice. She looked stressed.

“What the hell is this? I’ve never seen any fire magic this powerful.”

“It seems he’s gone beyond the magic limits,” Lucius said while crossing his legs the other way and resting his chin on his hand. He smirked. “Damn. This is even better than ‘Bera The Sorcerer’.”

He rubbed his lips while thinking. Scarlet must be the only one to realize that he was having fun.

“So powerful.” He laughed. “How many monsters do they want to create, that freaking organization?”

“What should we do, Lucius? I know you said it’s according to plan, but we’ve lost three people.” Scarlet asked. “You know that Gaia is our power against Viola and Emilia’s brain, too. Aaron’s time limit is about to end. We’re doomed if it continues. Viola hasn’t even appeared here yet. We still have a chance if we rush to steal the key from that boy now.”

“She’s here.”

Lucius interrupted so smoothly as if they were talking about the weather. His red eyes were still staring at the tower as if it were a fireworks show.

“H... Huh? Who’s here?” Scarlet spoke through her teeth.

“Viola.”

“...!!” Scarlet was frozen in place.

“She should be somewhere in the city. You may not be able to sense it, but I remember her brain waves as clear as day.”

The woman pressed her lips so hard it became purple. She turned the other way. Lucius stopped her with his smooth voice.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

“Do you even need to ask? If she’s here, I’m going to crush her.”

“I remember I told you that you’re to cover my back at all times, Scarlet.”

“But!!”

This time, the man did not say anything. He only glanced at her, and the girl got goosebumps all over. His eyes spoke very clearly for her to ‘not disobey him’.”

“You should know Viola well, Scarlet,” Lucius said. “She may be reckless, but her nerve war is something. She wants to keep you away from me. And, if I may say, you’ll die if you fight her now.”

It was the truth that Scarlet already knew. It was even more painful when it came from Lucius. She clenched her fists without realizing it.

“I told you to not worry. Everything is going according to my plan.”

He said and turned back to the battle again. The tardy breeze blew past him. He raised his hand up to feel it. It was cold, even though it had gone past the heat from the battle.

“It seems like the wind changes direction again. I wonder which way it’ll blow from now.”

----------------

The fire finally died down. The heat was gone, leaving only a huge hole. It was scary enough from afar. The people close to it had it worse.

“W... What’s this?”

The sweet voice rang while the owner of it was lying on the ground. The man was on top of her to protect her from the explosion.

“Damn it. Why does he always come with a grand opening?” A low voice sounded while he was trying to push himself up. “He was like this, too, in Dores. And now Tristan? You son of a bitch.”

A one-eyed man named Vis looked around and saw that the whole city was a total debris. Gaia had done so much to it and now this reckless man, even though Tristan was ten times bigger than Dores...

Only imagining this man in the battle... Brrrr~!

Vis let out a long sigh and struggled to stand up.

“Well, I guess it can’t be helped. Anyone would be like that if the loved one is in danger.”

Valentine said while sitting pathetically on the ground. She was looking the other way and prompted Vis to look at it, too. There, a young man and woman were standing. The woman was hitting the man’s chest like her life depended on it. Instead of feeling bad, the man laughed cheerfully.

Vis let out a long sigh.

“Is he really the Vincent that just blew up the whole city?” He shook his head.

“That’s why Mr. Vincent is so charming.”

The god girl laughed before she raised her hands up as if she was a kid asking him to pick her up. Vis could only sigh and pull her up.

It seemed like they understood each other so well. He felt sorry for Maysa who had to deal with this like he did.

“You dummy, dummy, dummy!”

Her hands were still slamming at the man’s chest.

“Ouch! It hurts, May. What have I done wrong?”

The man tried to raise his hands up to give up, but Maysa did not care. Her face flushed and her eyes were teary. She kept slamming him like a madman like never before.

“Everything! You’re late and you let me fight a monster alone. You’re the worst! The worst!”

She punched him continuously. Wisana laughed at it. Then, he sighed and patted her head with the gentlest smile.

“Mmm! You did very well, my beauty.”

He stroked her hair gently. The girl was about to give in to it when she realized that and snapped herself back. She slammed on his chest again. The man had to quickly grab her hands to stop her.

“Dumbass!”

“It was as fast as I could.” He grinned. “Let’s see. I just realized that you’re finally wearing the clothes I gave you. You’re so cute. I knew it’d look good on you.”

“D...Damn you! Pervert! This is not the time to talk about it!”

“Awww... Please don’t be mad.”

He pulled her into an embrace. Maysa tried to resist, but she could not get away from his strong arms. She was eventually forced to calm down (or you could say that she did not know what to do anymore!)

“You guys can still be romantic even in the war.”

Valentine walked up to them with her messy clothes. Vis turned to Na, and they nodded at each other.

“It’s unexpected that the Bunny Burner’s joining the war.” Wisana smiled. Maysa could finally be free from his hug.

“We’re not in this as the Bunny Burner, Mr. Vincent.” Valentine tilted her head. “I’m here as a friend and a sister. I think you can guess what my intention is.”

“Is that so?” He smiled. “Then, as a boyfriend, thank you very much for saving my naughty girl.”

“My pleasure.”

They shook hands. Maysa could not help sulking. Vis laughed softly.

“It seems like you’ve changed a lot, Mr. Vincent.” Valentine scrutinized the man. “You’re so different from the last two months as if you’re a different man. You’ve gone above and beyond again, haven’t you?”

The man pulled his hand back and smirked.

“Probably.”

Maysa halted.

She noticed, too, that he had changed so much. He seemed calmer now. Even though he was the same on the outside, something in him had changed. The atmosphere around him was not the same.

He seemed to have grown up a little...

Maysa smiled without even realizing it.

“What are you smiling about, naughty girl?”

Wisana saw that and somehow his instinct was telling him that he was the target.

“Nothing,” Maysa said in a high-pitched voice. “What about Baron?”
