Chapter 656: A Counter Plan Part II

Chapter 656: A Counter Plan Part II

“W... What is this? Since when?”

“I see. This is how it works.”

While Miguel was in awe, Tunwa interrupted her. She halted again.

“Even you don’t know when that happened. That means you’re not controlling every one of them by yourself. You’re using the autopilot system and asking the AI or somebody to control them for you, right, psycho lady?”

“...!!”

His words and smile made Miguel speechless. This man read through everything. Yes, it was impossible for her to control two thousand puppets at the same time. It was bad enough with that, but it was more surprising that he destroyed every single one of them alone!

This man was Tunwa, Vincent’s best friend. He was also a leader of the field unit. According to the report, he did not possess the Signetic!

Even without it, he could do this much...

This man was... dangerous!

“That face... Does that mean you’re starting to give up?” Tunwa grinned. “Just like what Mr. Sander said. You’re only good behind the scenes. Once you’re face-to-face with us, you’re not only nothing but also a coward.”

Those words got Miguel gritting her teeth so tightly. At that moment, Kongkiat and Angie pointed their weapon at her.

This was bad...

They were all the boss party wanted: the tank, the decoy, and the magician. This was really hard. What should I do? Should I unseal my power now? But Emilia and Aaron already did that. Would it be too hard on Alice if I did, too?

“You realize it, too, right, that the situation’s flipped? Three to one, we clearly have the upper hand.” Tunwa spoke cheerfully.

Miguel called up her seven puppets to guard her. Each one of them readied their weapon. For Tunwa, she was only a cornered rat.

At that moment, Miguel was startled again. Her brain detected that a danger was about to befall her. She looked up and opened her mouth widely.

“What is it now?!”

Frozen Paradise

A sudden snowstorm blew so harshly around the area. It was so cold that it froze the puppets in the blink of an eye. She jumped back to avoid it.

“What a beautiful move, Em!!”

Somebody cried out. At the same time, a young man dropped from the sky to where the frozen puppets were!

Thunder Wave

Then, the new man slammed his fist to the ground and numerous lightning streaks came out of it, destroying the puppets so easily.

The brightness got everyone covering their eyes. A moment later, everything died down, leaving everyone in awe.

The boy with short brown hair and blue eyes was there. He looked pretty fit. He was wearing a red scarf with a strange symbol of a crossed sword and a magic staff on a box...

It was a symbol of the Pandora.

“How’s it, Akkee?!”

A sweet voice called him from the rooftop of the nearby building. Everyone halted and turned to her. She was a girl with long black hair that was put into a tight bum with a hairpin. At the end of the hairpin, there was also a keychain with a Pandora symbol on it.

“Pandora’s chief of staff?” Tunwa muttered softly before he turned to the thunder boy earlier. “Then, this boy’s also from Pandora?”

While Tunwa was scrutinizing the situation, Akkee looked at Miguel, who was watching everything in awe.

“Found you.” Akkee pointed at her. “It’s you, that annoying manipulator who dares to attack my big brother with that puppet!”

“..T... This is bad.”

Miguel muttered. So many harsh truths hit her at the same time.

The first three were bad enough, now with Akkee and Emwika ‘The Snow Sorcerer’, her winning chance was dimming.

If she did not unseal her power, she would definitely die for real!

Miguel pressed her lips tightly.

“I’ll double it up for you, lady. I really hate sneaky people...”

Akkee said cheerfully. However, when he glanced to the side, he paused. He opened his mouth widely and pointed at it.

“You!”

Akkee screamed. He was pointing at Kongkiat, who was a little surprised.

“Huh?” The boy pointed at himself.

“When did you get here? No wonder why I couldn’t find you. Are you here for this woman, too?!”

Akkee shouted so happily as if he had met an old friend. The rest of them only blinked at them, including Miguel. Only Emwika, the chief of staff of Pandora, massaged her temple softly.

“Why does it have to be now?” She drawled.

“E... Er... Do we know each other?”

Kongkiat cautiously asked back because he did not recall knowing this boy of the same age.

“You don’t know me, but I know you, Kongkiat of the Nemesis.”

“Yes?” Kongkiat raised his eyebrow.

“No need to wonder.” Akkee laughed and grinned before he acted like he was a runner about to run the race. “My motto is to fight first and talk later.”

“Huh??”

“I finally found you, my fated opponent!”

BOOM!!!

The ground where he stomped on broke apart as he dashed off at Kongkiat. The opponent narrowed his eyes and readied his fists!

Light Slashing Fist

The first skill was Akkee’s. His fist hit Kongkiat’s face with all its might. Of course, the boy guarded it just in time. He only had to brush the fist off very easily to change the fist’s direction!

“Nice! This is going to be fun!” Akkee cried out.

“W... Wait, we don’t have any reason to fight each other.” Kongkiat waved his hands.

“There’s no need for that. I only want to fight!”

“Wait a minute!”

Kongkiat cried because he was not a combat lover. He did not want to do any unnecessary fights.

The man who seemed to love fighting laughed out loud and continued punching!

“No more chitchat! If you’re a man, you talk with your fists!”

The boy with black eyes gritted his teeth because he could only guard. This Akkee was pretty sharp. Maybe not as good as Na or his master, but this boy also had the same wild animal vibe!

Talking sense into him would not work.

He did not even know when this suddenly happened, but he would be killed if he did not do something.

Kongkiat glanced at Tunwa.

“I’ll leave everything here to you, Tun! I’ll be back as soon as possible!”

“H... Huh?! Hey! Kong! What are you doing!?”

There was no answer to that because Kongkiat had decided to jump off the rooftop since he knew that there was not enough space to fight the madman.

“Good! Starting to get heated? This is fun!”

Akkee shouted and was about to follow Kongkiat down.

“Wait, Akee! What about the leader’s order?!” Emwika interrupted.

“You take care of it, Em. I have something to do. I’m sure big brother will understand!”

Akkee jumped down. Emwika could only mess up her hair with frustration.

“Damn it, that boy!” In the end, Emwika had to act like a parent and follow Akkee down.

“Kong!”

Another one was about to follow them.

“Hey, Angie! Are you leaving me, too?!”

Tunwa screamed. He leaned down to look at Angie who just jumped. He knew that she would follow Kong, anyway. Now that everyone was gone, he felt the chill every time the wind blew.

What the hell? The help was so packed just now. Once that Akkee boy arrived, he brought everyone with him. You stupid Pandora!!

“This is bad.”

Tunwa could barely swallow his saliva.

“Hehehee...”

A cute giggle was heard. The man with green eyes slowly turned to the source. It looked like she had already gone back on her feet.

“Poor you to be left out like this.”

It was a sweet provocation. Tunwa drooped down wearily.

“It looks like it’s me and you now, Mr. Tunwa. Now it’s one-on-one?”
