Chapter 631: The Last Battle! Part II

Chapter 631: The Last Battle! Part II

“Listen to Lord Baron, my child. She’s right about your safety because your power hasn’t been fully awakened yet. The only way for you to join the war is to be your father’s power because you’ll never know when I have to be separated from you.”

Wisana also reached out to his girl’s head. The girl turned to look at him.

“Your mother’s right.” He smiled. “There’re so many ways to make our connection work. What’s more important is the Syncro of you and me. Please stay and be my power because your mother may have to leave our side at times. Don’t forget that your mother can’t die, which is different from us.”

The little girl looked at them back and forth before she smiled.

“Yes. I’ll do my best!”

Baron only sighed softly before continuing.

“One more important thing is about the time limit of the Syncro. There’ll be a number counting down for you. If you can hold it for ten minutes, you’ll have as many as six hundred for the countdown number. It’ll decrease when you’re in sync, but once you stop, the number will go back to six hundred again. You have to calculate well when you should start and end it. If you can, it’ll be a great unlimited skill. As for the teamwork, you’ll have to work it out on your own because I don’t have anything to teach you anymore.”

“Understood.”

Wisana nodded. The girls also smiled.

Seeing that, Baron beamed at them.

“We’ll get to the war break period soon. The armies should be out in the field now. I’ll be offline for today. Remember that a big war is waiting for us tomorrow. Get a lot of rest and don’t be late, got it?”

“Yes.”

Baron slowly disintegrated into particles, even though she was still waving at Mona Lisa. A moment later, there were only the boy and two girls left. Wisana dropped down to the ground.

“Good god!” He cried. “It’s been hell for the past five days. I can’t believe we’ve gone through it.”

“You’re right.”

Sarquros smiled sweetly at him, while Mona Lisa lay down and put her head on her father’s arm.

“The best one seems to be our little girl.”

Wisana smiled gently at his daughter. The girl beamed at him.

“I just want to be useful to father.”

“Yes, and you’re doing very well.”

He pushed her head onto his chest. Mona Lisa hugged her father tightly as if she had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

“Samie...”

“Yes?”

Wisana called her. She raised her eyebrow a little.

“Are you sure about the war tomorrow?”

The dragon girl narrowed her eyes and looked at Wisana. Maybe it was because of the worry in his voice that stood out, she knew just what he was talking about. The woman smiled sweetly at him and lay down and put her head on the man’s other arm. Wisana was a little surprised.

“Of course.” Sarquros smiled.

“But you... If you died... you wouldn’t...”

He froze in place. Even Mona Lisa could not help but hold on to Wisana’s shirttail so tightly.

“I’d never be resurrected, right?”

She talked softly. Wisana gritted his teeth and turned the other way.

“It’s very risky this time, Samie, and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to protect anyone. Our enemies are different.”

“Don’t worry about me.” She stroked Wisana’s cheek. “You should worry more about yourself and our daughter, who I love the most in this world. Take care of them well. That’s what you can do for me.”

“But...”

Wisana tried to argue, but the woman touched his lips to stop him.

“If we don’t fight, there’ll be no tomorrow. I can’t let the future of this world be destroyed just because I’m worried about my own life. I’ll fight alongside you. I’ll be your power. And that’s my decision. No matter what happens, I won’t regret it.”

The man took a deep breath.

He looked her in the eye and she smiled sweetly back at him. It was such a cheerful and innocent smile. Wisana pulled her into a tight embrace.

Wisana could not love her as much as she deserved, yet he did not want to lose her, either. She could not be his lover, but she was his important sister. Even though it was only a short period of time, every day with her had been colorful.

He would never lose her!

“Promise me that you won’t do anything risky. And that we’ll be sleeping together like this again after we win the war.” Wisana said with determination.

The woman halted for a little while before she smiled and buried her face in his chest.

“Yes, I promise.”

Wisana put his arm around both girls’ shoulders so tightly. No matter what, he would protect everyone. He would be victorious!!

The warm breeze blew through the quiet night. The sky tonight was gorgeous, even though the war was about to break out in hours.

Most players spent their last moments before the big war partying. They were talking about the war as if it was some kind of entertainment. They almost forgot that they were about to be one of the legends.

The Pandora army was the same. They held a small party called the ‘Crank-It-Up party’.

While the lower ranks were having fun, the higher-ups did not want their last moments before the war to be in vain. Lavi, the guild leader, even excused himself from the party and trained so fiercely with Akkee.

They fought in close-range without using any skill. They only swung their fists and feet at each other. Their attacks were too fast for normal people to keep up, but they did not seem to be wounded anywhere. They only sweated a lot as if they had been standing in the rain.

“Good job! Don’t forget that controlling your breathing is the heart of close-range combat. Whoever can endure it longer wins!”

“Understood!!”

The voice sounded at the same time that their fists dashed at each other, yet they both hit the air. In the end, they rested after almost five hours of non-stop training.

“You did well, kid. I must admit that your instinct’s surpassed mine.”

Lavi said cheerfully and walked up to the boy who was almost at the same height.

“I’m not happy with that.” The younger man pouted. “Does that mean the rest of it is still not as good as you? I know it’s the truth, but can’t you just try to encourage me more?”

He let out a long sigh and sat down wearily.

The older man grinned and sat beside him.

“You’ve improved a lot. I don’t think I have to worry about you anymore. Let me tell you that I’m not going to be helping you like last time.”

“And I want that!” Akkee beamed at him. “I have the same goal as you now. I’ll give it my all to crush that guy down!”

The older man smiled happily. He leaned backward and used his hands to support himself.

“Maybe I should do that, too, then,” Lavi said and looked up at the sky. “I hope that guy will also do the same or it’ll be boring.”

They glanced at each other and burst out loud laughter as if to let out every stress in them before the war started.

Emwika, Pandora’s chief of staff, had been watching them train. She scratched the back of her neck and smiled at the sight.

“Boys... They’re like kids sometimes.”
