Chapter 580: The Goal is The Fiftieth Floor Part I
Chapter 580: The Goal is The Fiftieth Floor Part I
“Yawnnn~~!”
A long yawn was heard. A tall figure was sitting on the bed after a nice long slumber. His amber eyes looked at the beds next to him and saw that his friends were still sleeping soundly. It was obvious how exhausted they were.
“I’m awake before them?”
Wisana muttered and looked around as if he was still confused. He slowly thought about what he had been through. That was how he realized that he was at the Desert Warrior’s camp. He was inside a nice warm tent that was big enough for three men.
He looked at his side. Shin and Tunwa were still sleeping in a different manner. One was so proper like a prince and another was everywhere with his arms and legs. His blanket even dropped to the ground. There was no need to guess which was who.
The man sighed softly and decided to stand up. He opened the tent door and walked out of it. The warm light of the early morning was not that bright, yet he still had to narrow his eyes a bit. The cool breeze did not make it feel like he was in the desert at all.
“Good morning.”
Suddenly, a sweet voice greeted him from the nearby tent. His amber eyes glanced at the source and saw a familiar woman in a shirt and shorts covered with a loose robe. He smiled gently.
“You’re up early.” Wisana greeted her back.
“I’m used to it.”
The girl smiled back and raised the cup of coffee in her hand.
“Coffee?”
“Mhmm. Thank you.”
He said before taking the cup from his girlfriend. In the morning, Maysa was still as cute as ever, even with her bed hair.
“What about Nam and Orn?” Wisana asked after a big sip of coffee.
“They’re still sleeping. They must have been exhausted. I just let them.”
Maysa did not look back at him since she was occupied with making another coffee at the small table between their tents.
“Did you have a good night’s sleep?” Maysa asked.
“It was like I got switched off. I didn’t even realize when I fell asleep.”
The girl giggled. The boy sat down on a small wooden chair in front of the tents. His eyes fixed on the base of the Desert Warrior where there were not so many people walking around. It was obvious that they were still in bed.
“Did Ae sleep in your tent?” Maysa asked.
“Nope. He wanted to fix the ship with Mek.” He sipped the coffee. “It looks like he needs a lot of Pixie potion. As expected of a technician, he’s so energetic.”
He shrugged. Maysa sat beside him. Wisana glanced at her face and noticed that she did not look so well as if she did not have enough sleep.
“You don’t look so well, May.” He said. “Did you have enough sleep last night?”
Maysa scratched her cheek.
“Well... I couldn’t sleep. There’re so many things to think about.”
Wisana blinked.
“What are you worried about?” He stroked her hair softly. “Is it about those guys? Don’t worry. I think we should be fine for a while here with Baron.”
“That’s one thing. But it’s not what I’m worried about.” Maysa drooped down.
“Eh? Then, what is it?”
“The training with that uncle.” She shrank, so Wisana raised his eyebrow. “I get goosebumps when I think of training with him.”
The boy laughed. However, it gave him goosebumps, too, when he thought about it.
“You’ll be fine. Sander was a sadist, but he’ll definitely make you stronger.” Wisana encouraged her. “I have to deal with Baron. I don’t know my fate at all. You know how badass and brutal she is!”
Maysa smiled a little. She glanced at Wisana and narrowed her eyes.
“You seem so interested in that woman,” Maysa said. “You talk bad about her, but you want to be her student in the first place, right?”
“N-No.” The boy’s face flushed. “Who’d want to be that cruel woman’s student? She bullies and acts like a mafia.”
Maysa laughed.
“Even so, she’s the real deal, right? I can’t believe someone this good exists here.” Maysa sighed. “Do you really think she’s Viola?”
Wisana went quiet for a short while.
“I don’t know. It’s highly possible, though.” He smiled awkwardly. “I don’t know why, but I think I’m very familiar with this woman. I can’t seem to think of the reason. Do you feel the same?”
“No. Why?” Maysa asked.
Wisana frowned. He scratched his head and shook it.
“Whatever. Maybe it’s nothing. I must have been imagining stuff.”
Maysa nodded, even though she knew that the man was still thinking about it.
“Captain! Leader Vincent! Something big happened!”
While they were sipping coffee, a lady’s voice was heard. They turned to the source and saw a familiar face running towards them. She ran so fast that her boobs bounced up and down. Wisana’s eyes were wide open.
“Aha... watermelons.”
The perv muttered. Maysa’s eyebrows twitched.
Smack!
Fingers were poked into Wisana’s eyes, making him cry out loud!
“My eyes!! I’m blind!!”
“Can’t be helped. It’s your fault!” Maysa scolded him.
“Leader and captain, something big happened,” Aerin said again once she reached them. “Leader? ...Eh? What happened to your eyes?”
“N-Nothing,” said Wisana, even though he could not even open his eyes. “What is it, Aerin? Why did you have to run here?”
“Something big happened.” Aerin looked worried.
“What is it? Calm down and explain.”
“The Cataral. Sven just announced the war and will invade Tristan in ten days!”
Wisana halted. He slowly opened his eyes.
“What?” He asked.
----------------
“...With this, I command every Cataral across the world to gather in Dores. In ten days, we’ll invade The William Star in Tristan. I ask everyone to come back here and prepare yourself before the war. I repeat. Come back here and we’ll invade William Star with everything we have.”
Sven’s voice sounded from a small black screen. The Nemesis listened to it with an alarmed face. Wisana closed it down. Maysa turned to look at everyone. It seemed like Kongkiat had fully recovered and could now attend the meeting.
“As you heard it,” Maysa said. “Sven intentionally made an announcement on an international channel that everyone can hear without having to mess with the signal. That means this message is for us.”
Tunwa raised his hand.
“Does that mean he wants us to join his war?”
“Not exactly, Tun.” Maysa smiled. “Sending the message through the international signal means that there’re layers to his plan. The success depends on whether I support him or not.”
“What do you mean, May?” Waree said.
“You’ll see,” Maysa smirked mischievously.
“You don’t have to worry about the plan right now. The thing is, we only have ten days before invading Lucius and the other guys there.”
Everyone looked at each other.
“Ten days are more than enough.”
It was Baron, who was standing arm-crossed beside Sander, who said that. She was wearing a hoodie that covered her whole body. Wisana could see her rosy lips stretch into a smile so gently.
“I didn’t think that I’d be fighting them this quickly at first, but if the Cataral joins us, it’s a good deal to take a risk for.” She grinned. “I’ll train you to the core within ten days, so you can join the war.”
“Would it be enough? Only ten days?”
Shin asked. Everyone agreed. According to the story of the Cores, they knew that those people were unmatched for them.
However, Baron smiled and looked Sander in the eye.
“It’s not ‘only’ but ‘as many as’ ten days, little Shindanai,” Baron said. The boy raised his eyebrows.
“Baron’s right. Ten days are more than enough to raise your levels.” Sander smiled gently. “You still remember my intensive courses for the boy? I’ll use that with you, too.”
