Chapter 561: A Different Path Part II
Chapter 561: A Different Path Part II
“Nuch.”
Wisana walked towards his friend.
Hearing the call, she was startled and turned to Wisana with an awkward smile.
“Na... I...” She tried to say something.
“You don’t have to say anything.” Wisana beamed at her. “And don’t explain anything. I have bad news for you.”
He looked at Maysa as if they had known that this would happen.
“From now on, you’re expelled from the Nemesis.”
“...!!”
Nuchjaree was so surprised that she opened her mouth so widely. Sven narrowed his eyes.
“You’ve not been performing well lately with that high salary I have to pay you. I don’t think my guild can hire you anymore.” Wisana said. “Go find another guild. You may be lucky enough to get in without an interview.”
He glanced up at Sven as if he wanted to give him a sign. Sven sighed in relief and shook his head at the same time.
“Na... I...”
Nuchjaree tried to say something, but Wisana only patted her head.
“You’re my worst sidekick. But you’re a flawless friend, Nuchjaree.” Wisana said. “Our friendship remains.”
Nuchjaree could barely hold her tears back. She only nodded slowly.
“Here, Nuch.”
Maysa held out something to her. It was the new uniform of Nemesis. Nuchjaree lost her old one some time ago.
“Our new uniform. Ae finished it just now.”
“Thank you.”
Nuch said in a hoarse voice and hugged the uniform tightly.
“Don’t forget that we’ll always be your home. Come back anytime.” Maysa said.
“But next time, you’ll have to start at being a minion, though.”
The girl laughed at that and punched lightly at her friend’s arm.
“Ass.”
Wisana sighed and looked up at Sven again.
“Take good care of her.” His voice was firm. “Nuch is like my little sister. If you hurt her, you’ll be minced and fed to fish.”
Sven smiled at the threat. He intentionally put his arm around Nuch’s shoulders, and that made her face get even more red.
“Don’t worry. You will never get to do that.”
Wisana smiled satisfyingly. He nodded at Nuchjaree again before pushing Maysa back into the ship. Nuchjaree did not know what to say. She did not even know if it was the right decision, even though no one reprimanded her.
She looked at Tunwa, who was still standing at the same place, watching her. When their eyes met, he smiled at her like usual. It was the kind of smile that the guy always had for her. Then, Wisana put his arm around Tunwa’s neck and led him back inside.
The door slowly closed. Maysa turned around and waved at Nuchjaree for one last time. Alexander slowly floated up. The pressure from below the ship caused the air to rumble. Nuchjaree and Sven had to cover their faces.
In the blink of an eye, Alexander rushed out of there. The ship that used to be there was now gone by the concealing system.
Nuchjaree breathed in so deeply that she swayed. She was still hugging the uniform. Her shoulders trembled.
This was quite saddening...
A moment ago, her friends were only an inch away. But now they were all gone.
Her patience had reached its limit. The tears started to drop down her cheeks. Sven did not say anything. He only sighed softly and held her hand very gently. The girl looked up at him.
“Thank you for being by my side.”
“...”
Nuchjaree only nodded. Her tears still flowed uncontrollably.
Sven smiled mildly and wiped the tears off her face.
“I keep my promise.” He said gently. “What I promised Vincent just now, I’d never betray him... Okay?”
“Mmm.”
Nuchjaree smiled slightly back at him. Suddenly, she felt the warmth on her. His gentle breath and the taste of his lips on hers prompted her eyes to close very slowly. The rough hand on her neck was gentle. She had to tiptoe and put her arms around him.
She wanted to believe him...
She wanted to try being in love...
And she wanted everyone to learn that she chose the right guy...

Silence overtook the place. The atmosphere was so gloomy after they took off. The three people at the door were still standing there.
Both Wisana and Maysa looked at Tunwa’s back in front of them. Wisana glanced at Maysa as if to ask for her opinion, yet his girl could only bite her lips and roll her eyes up like “You do something!”.
The man sighed and looked at Tunwa.
“Well, Tun, to be fair, Nuch will still be around. We can always visit her. It’s almost the end of the school holiday anyway. All three of us will be together until we’re bored to death.”
Wisana pretended to be happy-go-lucky and put his arm around his friend.
There was no reply at all from Tunwa. Wisana could only stand there and turn the other way.
“Did I do the right thing?”
Later, Tunwa finally spoke up. Wisana halted.
“Tun...” He said softly.
“What I did just now. It was the right thing, right, Na?”
His voice sounded so hoarse, unlike his normal one. Even though he could not see his face very clearly, he saw tears running down his best friend’s face.
“Tun...”
Maysa walked up to them and was about to start the consolation when Wisana raised his hand as if to tell her “Let me do it”.
“I don’t know if you did the right thing.”
Wisana said with his usually happy voice. Tunwa glanced at him.
“I can tell you that, as a lover, you suck so much at expressing your feelings, Tun.”
Maysa was startled. She did not think that he would say that instead of consoling his friend!
“....” Tunwa did not say anything. He turned the other way and drooped.
“But as a friend, you’re the best of the best.” He hit Tunwa’s chest jokingly. “You did your best, friend, I don’t even know if I could do it like you did. You’re a real man. It was so cool just now, you know? If I were a girl, I would have fallen for you on the spot.”
Maysa was a little surprised.
But when she saw Tunwa shaking his head wearily and chuckled in tears, she understood immediately that the person who had been with Tunwa the most was her boyfriend. No one would have understood his feelings more than this man.
“Na... Can’t you do a little better at that?” Tunwa drawled.
“Consoling a slow man like you takes a lot.” He smiled happily. “Well, Tun, have you heard this? They say girls are like flocks of monkeys. You can always toss them around happily. If you don’t die just yet, you will surely get a girlfriend with no regret.”
“Woah, what the hell is that poem thingy? You can’t even get into the girl’s heart with that.”
Tunwa laughed and wiped his tears off.
“Hey, I just knew that Nuch isn’t the right one for you. That manly girl with you is like water and fuel. Only disaster awaits.” He hugged his friend tighter. “Sweet girls are more like it. The polite ones are the best.”
“Then, what about your little sister?”
The possessive big brother halted.
“Dream on!” Wisana shouted at Tunwa who was laughing his butt off.
“What? Your best friend just got heartbroken. Can’t you give me your sister for my healing?”
“No frigging way.” Wisana bared his teeth. “I was going to tell you that I know one girl, our junior. She’s studying art with May. She’s cute with rounded eyes and a nice-looking nose as you like it. She’s very sweet, too. Interested?”
He hit his friend’s chest again.
Tunwa looked at Wisana. He smiled and let out a long sigh.
“You sure she’s cute?” He asked back in the same manner.
“Wooo, very! She’s a princess of the faculty. Even May’s princess title got snatched away by her.”
They walked into the ship. Maysa only sighed and followed them in.
“What’s her name?”
