Chapter 559: A Heaven Slashing Fist Part V
Chapter 559: A Heaven Slashing Fist Part V
“I... did it.”
He dropped down to the ground like a puppet whose strings were cut. However, before he lay down, Marcus yanked his shirt collar up so hard that he was floating above the ground. Silence, then, took the place for some time. It looked like the boy was about to pass out. As for Marcus, it was hard to determine what kind of emotion he had right now.
Marcus used the other hand to grab the boy’s hair and pull it up as if he wanted to look at the boy’s face very clearly. He scrutinized the boy from head to toe. With this bruised body, he could still use such a technique as Flash Footing. He had to give him that.
Moreover...
What was that hand just now? He had not seen anything like that before. It looked similar to Vincent’s Fist Destruction, but it was not. This one was a lot more powerful than that. He could not imagine what would happen if this boy gained more levels.
At least he knew that it would not end with him losing only 140,000 points of his HP.
This little chick...
He was so entertaining.
Marcus smiled gently at the thought. It was the rarest smile from him so far.
“The result is concluded. I think this is enough, Marcus.”
A low voice sounded. Marcus halted. He glanced back and saw a tall man and a small silver-haired girl staring at him. They were fully armed.
Marcus knew one of them so well.
“Shin The Hunter, huh?” He said. “I heard that you’re with the Nemesis now. I didn’t think it was true.”
“Whatever. Just let him go.”
Shin was not so friendly. Marcus did not even realize when Shin got here. He only knew that the Longinus spear in his hand did not look like it would be fun to mess around with. And the girl with a magic staff was glaring at him like she wanted to devour him whole.
“Or if you still want to fight, I’ll be your partner this time,” Shin said maliciously. “I guarantee you that you don’t have to hold back this time.”
His lavender eyes stared at the tall man. The red-haired man wiped the blood off his lips before tossing Kongkiat on the ground.
“Kong!”
Angie quickly ran to him.
“You didn’t have to threaten me, hunter,” Marcus said. “I keep my promise. I lost this time. I’ll retreat peacefully. But it’s not like I’m done with Vincent, though. I just want to keep my promise with this crazy little chick.”
He looked at Kongkiat again. Even though he was on the brink of death, the boy still smiled back awkwardly (and Angie was still glaring at Marcus while holding on to Kongkiat).
“Thank you...” Kongkiat said softly.
Marcus did not answer. He only looked at the bruised boy with his calm face.
“What’s your name, little chick?” He asked.
“Eh? Err... Kongkiat.”
Hearing that, Marcus laughed.
“Vincent is so much like Lavi.” He turned around. “Kongkiat... I’ll remember your name.”
Then, he walked away. It was this flashing moment that he glanced at the sky behind him as if he could sense something. That was when he saw a man flying in the sky with his flaming wings.
Wisana was flying there not so far away from him. They stared at each other before Marcus was the one who walked away without saying anything.
‘I’ll get you next time...’ Marcus thought.
He let out a long sigh and glanced back at Kongkiat from afar again.
‘This boy still has a long way to go. I wonder what would happen if he were to fight that genius Akkee kid?’ He thought and let out a scoff. If it really happened, he would definitely root for his junior.
Then, Marcus started to run so fast that the forest parted ways for him.
“He’s gone finally.”
Shin said with relief. He put the Longinus spear away and looked at the boy, who was still unable to even sit up straight.
“How are you doing?” He asked.
“Hehe... It’s bad. No, I mean, I almost died.”
The younger man answered in a hoarse voice. Shin smirked at him. He looked at Angie and was surprised that the girl’s eyes were teary.
“D-don’t cry, Angie. I’m still alive.” The boy smiled at her.
“You moron!”
Angie shouted and threw herself at him so tightly. The boy could only pat her head gently. Shin sighed.
Shin glanced up at the sky and saw Wisana flying there. He did not even want to come down to see how his apprentice was doing. Shin could only shake his head and laugh. When Wisana realized that he was being watched, he flew right back to the ship. Shin let out a scoff.
“He’s stricter than I thought. His boy did so well. He should, at least, give him a compliment.” He smirked. “But it’s good enough that everyone’s still alive.”
It took some time before Kongkiat was able to stand up again. The members ran out to him. Everyone patted the youngest boy’s head with joy that he could come home safely. It took two people to drag him back to the ship.
They did not realize that they were being watched by the mysterious girl in a brown robe from the very start. The smile on her tanned face seemed so satisfied.
“That was a good fight, Nemesis boy. As a reward, I’ll find someone your equal for you in this war.”
Then, she disappeared as if she just vanished from there.
----------------
There was a building in central Venesia, the capital city of the south of Pride, that everyone knew that it was the headquarters of the Pandora guild, one of the four gods.
And now, the members of the guild were sitting in the living room with a giant screen. They were discussing something. Some were amazed by what they were seeing on the screen and they were speechless.
“Who the hell sent this to us?” A voice rang.
“No idea. It seemed like it was live, too. I was watching the news and the signal got interfered with.”
“And who was that boy? Wasn’t that uniform Nemesis’s?”
“I think so. The thing is, he caused so much harm to Marcus.”
Everyone in the room looked so puzzled by what had just happened. The screen still showed footage of a boy who was giving his life to fight Marcus. Even though he was taken down so many times, he did not give up. In the end, it was amazing that he could lower Marcus’s life points by more than a hundred thousand.
“The Nemesis are monsters.”
“I agree. Even that minion could do so much.”
Minion...?
Wrong.
That boy was not a minion. He was actually another bad enemy for the Pandora.
The small boy who was standing in front of the screen clenched his fists so tightly. His blue eyes stared excitedly at the screen. The boy with golden hair smiled like never before. It was the smile of a boy who had just found his favorite toy!
His fists were clenched so tightly when he saw Kongkiat on the screen. He did not even realize that he emitted so much killing intent that people around him started to get goosebumps.
The woman who was standing next to him had to grab his shoulders.
“Don’t be so obvious, Akkee. Calm yourself. At least, please care more about the people around you.”
“I AM calm, Em.” The boy said. “But please understand me. I finally found him. It’s like how Lavi’s archenemy is Vincent. Me, too, and this boy, whose age should be around mine.”
Hearing that, the woman with long golden hair that was put up in a messy bun could only sigh.
Cousins were always cousins.
“He’s my archenemy!”
