Chapter 553: A Challenge from Bloody Iron Beast Part IV

Chapter 553: A Challenge from Bloody Iron Beast Part IV

BOOM!!!

Wisana had not finished his speech just yet, a loud noise of an explosion surrounded the area. Aerin, with the quickest reaction of all, immediately turned to the computer.

“What’s that noise?” Maysa raised her eyebrows.

“That’s the sound of my and Angie’s seal magic exploding.”

Waree screamed. She looked at Aerin’s computer over Aerin’s shoulders.

“Calm down. It may be just monsters or something.” Warunya said.

“Impossible. I programmed the barrier to only react when there’s a player or a monster at level 80 or above around. There’re no such monsters around here.” Waree said.

BOOM!!

The explosion sounded again. The enemy did not seem to be troubled with the first one at all, since he reached the second one in such a short period of time.

“Aerin and Orn, quickly detect the enemy. This is dangerous!”

“Yes!”

The two girls accepted the order in harmony before slamming their fingers on the screen in front of them. Wisana looked out the window and saw some flames gushing out from the ground. It was the same seal magic that he used when he tried to protect Vanilia...

The enemy was so dangerous that they could go past the barrier this easily?

BOOM!!

Suddenly, the third one was destroyed. Maysa clenched her fist so tightly. The enemy was closer to the ship now.

“Orn, announce the battle emergency state and tell everyone to get ready for war. Don’t go out just yet. Call Angie and Stella in as soon as possible.”

“Roger that!”

Warunya accepted the order. Waree went back to her seat.

“The image’s here, captain!” Aerin said.

Suddenly, a huge image appeared in front of Maysa. It was a photo of a flaming forest. In the blink of an eye, something flew past the camera so fast that everyone went quiet.

“There’s only one?” Wisana raised his eyebrow.

“Was it a man on a motorbike just now?” Maysa said.

If her eyes did not deceive her, she saw a man riding his motorcycle past each barrier without any trouble and at an intimidating speed too.

“Is he one of the mysterious players?” Wisana asked.

“What happened?!!”

The door swung open. This time it was Shin, Mek, Angie, Stella, and Tunwa who ran into the room with worried faces. Angie and Stella quickly fell into their position while Tunwa walked towards Wisana.

“What happened, Na?” He asked.

“I don’t know. It seems an enemy is trying to break our barrier through.”

“My seal magic?” Angie asked, surprised. She never thought that anyone would be able to destroy her magic this easily.

“How many enemies are there?” Shin asked.

“Only one.”

Hearing that, he frowned.

“Alone? Is he one of them?” He asked. Wisana could only shake his head.

“We don’t know just yet. Let’s prepare for the worst first.” Maysa turned to them. “Angie, prepare your magic. Orn, ready the main guns. Mek, start the ship engine.”

“Roger!”

BOOM!!

Again, the enemy destroyed another one of Angie’s traps pretty easily. The flames erupted not too far from the ship, which meant the enemy was even closer now. Everybody swallowed a big gulp of saliva. They looked at each other, thinking the same thing: who in the world would be able to do this so quickly and easily?

The wide-angle photo on the screen showed that over ten enormous flaming poles could not withstand this enemy they were going up against. Not so long after that, the invader was already at the ridge above the ship with his motorcycle.

The tall figure looked at the war vessel below. He wore a helmet, which concealed his face. His motorcycle was all black, yet the wheels were scary fireballs. Every main gun of Alexander pointed at the figure. The man let out a scoff and slowly took off the helmet.

His slicked black hair was braided so neatly. He had a blue bandana on his head. His facial expression was similar to that of a thug, yet he had this satisfying smile on his face. His sharp eyes were slanting like those of a wild monster.

“T... That...” Wisana muttered.

“That man.” Shin frowned.

The big man stretched his lips into a wicked smile and stopped the motorcycle engine.

“I finally found you.”

He breathed in deeply.

“Vincent~~~~!!!!!”

That shout resembled a wild beast’s. The Nemesis was so quiet since they did not expect to see the man here.

“Marcus.”

Wisana muttered and frowned. He turned to look at Maysa. The girl quickly shook her head. She ran towards him and grabbed his arm.

“You can’t do that. It’s not the time for you to fight him.” Maysa warned him.

“But he’s...” Wisana softly sighed.

“Do you hear me, Vincent? I’ve been searching for you for months. I totally didn’t expect you to hide so pathetically here. Even so, I found you now. Let’s be brave and fight!”

Everyone was so quiet.

They all knew that his main target in this war was Vincent. He did not care about anyone else at all. Only the fight with Wisana satisfied him. Wisana also knew that the man would not go anywhere if he did not go out for him.

“Ah ha... It seems like this man is right on time as I predicted.”

Suddenly, a mischievous voice sounded from the communication channel on the ship. It was Sven.

“Sven? What do you mean, ‘as you predicted’?” Wisana glared at him.

“As I said,” Sven said. “If those mysterious players sent your information to everyone, It’s obvious that this muscle-brain man should be the very first one to reach here. And believe me, if you don’t go out and fight him, he won’t leave. Just do something already because he would definitely tear this ship apart if you tried to run away.”

Then, Sven was gone.

Wisana clenched his fists angrily.

“Can I frickin’ punch him?”

“Calm down. Let’s think about what to do next first.” Maysa held on to his arm.

Everyone looked at Wisana. He raised his eyebrows up high, wondering why everyone did that.

“W-what? Why are you looking at me?” He asked.

“I hope you don’t just run to that Marcus for a fight,” Tunwa said.

“That’d be extremely stupid. The fight wouldn’t only be for nothing, but there’s also a big chance of losing.” Shin added.

“Hey, you don’t know unless you try,” Wisana argued.

“I forbid you, Na.” Waree grabbed his other arm. “I won’t let you go. We need your strength to fight those mysterious players. This nonsense would only waste our time and we’d definitely walk into their trap. I know they’ve been planning this from the start.”

“But...”

Wisana tried to argue again, but with all the eyes on him, he had to stop there. The thought about going out and fighting Marcus got interrupted. Shame!

Wisana drooped down. The rest of them only let out a long sigh.

“Then, I’ll try negotiating with him.”

Maysa said and looked at Aerin.

----------------

At the time, Marcus was still on his motorcycle with his irritated face, since there was no reply after he called Vincent just now.

“Are they deaf?” Marcus complained.

“This broadcast is for Marcus The Bloody Iron Beast. My name’s Maysa, the chief of staff of Nemesis.”

Out of the blue, a sweet voice called out to him that Marcus was startled a little. He frowned since it was not the voice of the guy he wanted to see.

“I only want Vincent. You clowns don’t matter!” The man shouted.

“That we have to refuse,” Maysa said. “Our leader doesn’t wish to see you no matter what the reasons may be. We’d like to ask you to leave peacefully.”

“Huh!” Marcus scoffed. “Peacefully? Words from commoners are worthless. Get Vincent for me and the rest of you can go.”

Marcus smiled wickedly.

“Don’t misinterpret it. This is an order, not a request!”
