He had not even taken a step when all his senses twitched strongly. Those ruby eyes looked up somewhere quite far away from him.

Before he realized, a light beam the size of a fist was shot in his direction with fast speed. Sven knew instantly that he would not be able to dodge this shot. And that was when Thurti, Fridi, and Sunni rushed in over to protect their summoner right in time!

Thurti and Sunni had their shields held up in defense, while Fridi used the magic she had left to cast a protective spell.

“UGH!!”

Sven groaned when he felt a stinging pain in his shoulder.

When he looked down, he knew that his right shoulder had been shot into a large hold by that red beam. His blood was spitting out of the wound like crazy. Then his eyes moved on to the three girls who had come to protect him and saw that the red beam could get through them to attack him so easily.

Though these three were some of the best defensive warriors in the Pride world...

Fridi’s defensive magic might be weaker because of his exhaustion, but her magic shield was just as good as the magic of Waree, the guardian of light, the number one defensive player in the game!

But this shot could get through her this easily?

His heavy knees fell on the floor eventually. Just to hold his upper body up straight was very difficult to do right now. His eyes started to go blurry. Moreover, he could not feel his right shoulder anymore. It felt light, and it could be said that some nerve system had been cut off with it.

The rest of the females started fading away slowly.

Clearly, Sven’s consciousness was so close to fading away as well.

“It’s very surprising that you can beat Allen and Nero so easily like that.” The deep voice rang above Sven. “Well, it seems like I underestimated the four gods too much, didn’t I? Rain started falling slightly as red blood streamed out of the fetal wound on Sven’s right shoulder. His eyes slowly looked up at the speaker with a dull look in them as his consciousness was fading away.

The red-haired man pushed his hair back on his forehead. Those red eyes like flames were staring at him. That smileless face was not expressing any emotion at all.

"That shot was from you?” Sven asked in a dry, raspy voice.

“Yes.” The red-haired man replied briefly.

Was he, really...?

The beam just now was absolutely shot from at least 300 meters away. But in the blink of an eye, the shooter could appear before him. So, it was obvious that his movement speed was inhumanly high.

“Lucius!”

Suddenly, another sweet voice rang. She was the woman Sven saw in the VIP room, named Scarlet, he supposed. She was squinting toward them as she panted. And when she took a look around her, she started to have an unwell face right away.

“Where’re Allen and Nero?” She asked.

“Don’t worry. They’re badly hurt, but I pulled them out in time. They haven’t disappeared yet.”

The red-haired man said with a cold face. But after hearing that, Scarlet sighed out in relief. She almost fell on her knees on the floor, even.

“It is very shocking, even though I had them conceal some of their strengths. I never thought that they would get beat up completely like this, leader of the Cataral. It seems like the 3rd generation gods are remarkably interesting. Now I’m curious if the other three are just as good, or better than you.”

The red-haired man said with an emotionless expression. He consideringly looked at Sven, while the one who was being examined could not move a muscle. That was the first time Sven thought that he was going to die for sure.

There was no way to escape.

There was no way he could survive this.

Right now, the chance of him beating this guy was even less than 1%.

“Who are you exactly? What are you going to do with the other gods?”

Sven asked in a whispering voice. He squinted back at the other bravely.

“What am I going to do?” He repeated. “Well, for the sake of your craziness, I’ll tell you, leader of Cataral.”

“Lucius, is this a good idea?”

Scarlet tried to stop him with a concerned look, however, the man just held his hand up to stop her from talking.

“I am going to destroy the four gods.”

The words that came out of that mouth made Sven widen his eyes in shock right away.

“...W ...what do you mean by that?”

“Well, it means what I said.” The man named Lucius said with a calm expression. “The four gods are like the pillars of the Pride world. You are all like a threat to us. And I’m sorry for you, but this war makes our work easier. Because it’s not strange for the four gods to be targeted during this period, is it, leader of Cataral?”

Sven froze. He was staring at the man before him like he was trying to read his mind. His brain was processing those words calmly. And finally, he had come to the conclusion that these people were, ...

“You want to destroy the Pride world?”

Lucius and Scarlet froze at his words, especially the woman, she looked more surprised. Meanwhile, the man smirked, before sighing out faintly.

“You sure are a dangerous one, leader of Cataral, for both your skills and brain. You have Brain Control Signetic to have your brain process hundreds of things at the same time. No wonder you could control the 7 female warriors at the same time. Without this ability, the legendary weapon would be just some nonsense toy.”

Sven cracked out a chuckle after pausing for a while.

“You’re some hackers that want to mess up the Pride world or what? Or you’re sent here to sabotage Pride company especially? But either way, do you think you will have it that easily? Even if we, the four gods, are down, there will surely be someone else to stand up against you, especially Vincent. That guy will never just sit back and watch.”

Lucius smiled as he shook his head slowly. Then he pointed his hand at Sven before red sparks started swirling strongly on his palm, causing visible electric sparks to flash all over.

“That’s quite a good assumption, leader of Cataral, but we’re not hackers or anyone from other companies. We’re just a group of people that want this damn world to get wiped out. And in case you’re wondering, I’m not going to compromise at all. If anyone dares stand in my way, I’m going to destroy them all. Remember that.”

WHEEEEZ!!

After Lucius’s words, the sparks had formed a ball of magic in the size that fit in his hand. And that was a sign that he was ready to finish this enemy in front of him now!

But in that second, an arrow flew out of nowhere and got stuck on the floor in the spot where everyone was standing. And before they realized, the arrow exploded and spread a huge mass of smoke out!

“Lucius!”

Scarlet shouted as she rushed in to be in front of her leader.

Meanwhile, Lucius had to cancel his attack away to prepare to defend against the attacks that could come at them again at any time.

But the smoke started fading without any attack following. The wind and rain slowly washed the smoke away completely. And that was when they realized that Sven, who was supposed to be kneeling before them, had now gone without a trace.

“Hiding smoke?!” Scarlet shouted aloud. “Created a moment like ambushing but took that moment to come get their friend instead, huh? Well played. I’ll come after them.”

“No, Scarlet.”

It was Lucius who held his hand up to stop her, while he was looking at the blood of the man who did not fear death that was still staining on the ground. Lucius huffed out a sigh, before turning his back away.

“Let’s get back to check on Nero and Allen. They’re badly hurt, so it isn’t the time for us to go after anyone.” He said with a sigh. “Emilia’s just contacted, and they’re severely injured as well. We need to heal them first, then we talk about what to do next. Just let Miguel handle the rest for now.”

“Understood.”

The woman said with a worried face.

Her eyes were looking out behind her as if she was searching for Sven, who had disappeared completely. She still felt paranoid by the look in his eyes until now. She just knew right away that this man was a dangerous one...

And according to the report she got, Sven was the third strongest among the four gods only.

So, she could not really imagine what the other two above Sven would be like...
