Chapter 514: Versus “Gaia” and “Poseidon” (End) Part IV

“Everyone, hold on tight!!”

Mek, who was in the pilot position, shouted aloud. He tried his best to push the control handle up, making the ship tilt upward instead of down to the sea surface. His hands were shaking. Maybe it was the friction that had been collected that made it hard to control the flight like this!

“Orn, activate every main shooter system, and aim to our front.”

Maysa commanded in the blink of an eye. Hearing that, Warunya just followed without having a second to doubt that order. Even though she was not an expert with weapon systems on the ship, she still worked fast enough to command every one of their main shooters to aim forward on the sea surface in time!

BOOM!!

As fast as a thought, every cannon shooter fired almost at the same time. If this was Alexander’s normal mode, firing all cannons at the same time would have caused an overheating problem already. But now it was the ship’s Over-limit duration. So, it made every part and system still function, keeping this ship going forward!!

Moreover, when the shooters fired in unison, it seemed like there was some immense force that kicked back at the ship, making its head tilt up from the water’s surface, just in time before they crashed. And so, Mek narrowly managed to turn the ship away from the disaster in front of them!

“...T ...thanks, Captain!” He yelled out sincerely. “That’s our captain, coming up with such a wild tactic in a split second like this.”

“Save that compliment for me later. Our fight isn’t over yet.”

Maysa cut him off in a sharp voice. Right now, Alexander had flown past Gaia for a long distance like its speed could not be reduced at all, but it all was going as Maysa planned.

“Turn the ship around. We’re going to use our top speed to take Gaia down!”

Maysa commanded.

“But how are we going to do that, Captain?” Stella turned to ask. “Chief Shindanai has gone down to Gaia already. We don’t have any weapons to fight now.”

“...”

Maysa was quiet for a second. She had to figure it all out within less than a second before the ship went further than this. She needed to turn back and do something,

Shin had gone down there. He might be able to do something.

But what about that guy? Where did he go now?”

Her problem here was how to get every member back on the ship, so they could fly away from this battle as soon as they could, sooner before the Over-limit duration ended.

“Don’t worry.”

And suddenly, Waree spoke up with a strange-sounding tone. She got up from her MDS (Magic Defense System) position, eyes staring at Maysa as if to tell her to be relieved about all this.

“You already did your best, Maysa.” She said with a pretty smile on her face. “Let me take care of it from here.”

“Eh?”

Maysa just raised her eyebrows in confusion. However, Waree just decided to rush out of the bridge room, leaving only this brief before she went.

“Hurry up and turn the ship back to Gaia. Mister Shindanai isn’t in the condition to defend himself from the enemy for so long. So, before it’s too late, I’ll get Jinnie back myself!”

“...H ...hold on, Nam.”

The call did not get to Waree. In the blink of an eye, she ran and disappeared out of the bridge, leaving her friends looking at each other, puzzled. Especially Angela, she had never seen Waree acting this way before. So, she was just knitting her brows together confusedly.

“Nam...”

----------------

“D ...damn it.”

The curse came with teeth ground tightly. Shindanai’s tall body had just climbed on Gaia’s body which was lying still in the middle of the sea. And now, he was panting rapidly with a gigantic stone.

He was too exhausted to climb up and stand here so easily. Plus, his eyes were all blurry right now. His left arm was probably broken, because he could not feel it there at all. His strength was drained totally.

“The effect of using that ultimate is this much, huh.”

Shin spoke. He was not expecting the kick-back of Longinus would be this heavy. If he had to guess, his body was getting screwed over by hundreds of curses right now. So, that explained why he was having this strange colic pain!

“Snow really did give me something dangerous.”

He said after pushing himself to stand successfully. The word ‘dangerous’ he mentioned did not mean these curses that were attacking him, but he was talking about the massive hold in the chest of Gaia, the goddess he was stepping on right now.

“I was never expecting that it would kill the goddess in one hit like this.” Shindanai let out a short sigh. “Well then, so I have to get the sword and wait for the ship to come get me.”

He looked around to search for ‘the sword’ he talked about. Shortly, his eyes caught a shiny silver sword sticking out on Gaia’s chest, a few inches away from the large hole he pierced just now. Shindanai felt relieved. At least Jinnie did not get any damage from his violently wild attack, too.

“I think I need to take a long course on how to use Longinus later. Holy hell.”

Shindanai walked to the silver sword, even though it was more like he was strugglingly dragging his beaten body there.

“Hey there, Vincent’s AI. Are you alright? Still alive?”

The young man asked right after he could get to her.

“...Y ...yes, I am, Mister Shin. I didn’t get any damage from the attack.”

Jinnie replied. Her voice was raspy, sounding like she was suffering.

“Are you sure?” Shindanai repeated.

“Yes, sir.” She answered in a shaking voice. “...W ...what about Master? Where is he now? I need to get back in his inventory as soon as possible.”

The man was quiet for one moment. Then, he huffed a breath out of his nose harshly.

“I’m the one who wants to ask, where is that guy?” He said, looking around the place. “Vincent, Sarquros dragon, and Mister Sander, where are they? What’s going on here exactly?”

Jinnie was silent after the question for a moment as if she was collecting his words and processing them through her system.

“Master and Mona Lisa were under attack, and they got knocked away from here. I believe they’re still alive because I saw him summoning a magic shield to protect themselves in time. About Mister Sander, he went to fight Poseidon under the sea and hasn’t shown up since. And about Miss Samie, she now has been sealed in Gaia’s right hand.”

Listening to that, Shin glanced over to Gaia’s right hand which turned into something like melting chocolate poured in the wrong mold. Then he nodded in acknowledgment right away.

“Anyway, I’m told to bring you back on the Alexander ship first. And the other will be saved later, in priority order.”

“...Yes, sir.”

Jinnie agreed easily. She also knew what the most important thing to do right now was.

Shindanai nodded, before reaching his hand out to grab the sword’s handle in order to pull it out of Gaia’s chest. But he had not even touched it when his senses got triggered strongly as well as Jinnie, who resoundingly shouted,

“Mister Shin, be careful!”
