Chapter 512: Versus “Gaia” and “Poseidon” (End) Part II
“...It’s all because of you, isn’t it? Things wouldn’t have become this messy if there wasn’t that damn plan of Frazier. If Winter lived right now, he would have ruled this world as a king without any problem!!”
Sander shouted at the top of his voice. Dozens of trident tentacles tangling a few steps away from Aaron were still pegging in his body. The blue-haired man let out a sigh, avoiding his eyes.
“That’s why we’re taking responsibility by destroying the Pride system,” Aaron said, finally looking up at Sander again. “Everything will be put to an end with our hands. That mad world’s developing plan of Payu, or Father’s ambitious revenge, we will make it over, whether you want it or not.”
“Aaron, you...”
Sander ground his teeth, looking away. Everything was besetting him, making him confused. His feelings were mixed with anger and concern. But above all, it was their bond that made him helplessly worried about the one in front of him.
He wanted to sit these people down and talk nicely just once.
And then, if possible, he wanted to have Viola sit down and talk as well.
As friends who grew up together.
And as the first generation of Signeraters!
“All of you?” Sander spoke up.
“...Excuse me?”
“It’s all of you who want to destroy the Pride system, isn’t it? I mean, every one of the Signeraters agrees to this idea of destroying... destroying themselves?!”
Aaron froze for a moment. For a second, he saw some fraction of concern flashing in Sander’s eyes. He sighed, before curling up a smile that looked strangely wry.
“Not all of us,” Aaron said. “You know that Father’s taken about ten thousand troubled kids like us from all around the world under his care, and those people are just as tamed as chained dogs. There’s only my group that can’t bear to see him being like this. ...We can’t bear to see him showing off his disgusting ambition anymore.”
“So, you think that destroying everything will make amends for what you’ve done?”
“Make amends?” Aaron talked back in a high-pitched voice. “Maybe we just want to see Father’s sincere smile once again. We don’t want to see him suffering more than he already is.”
“You...”
That was all Sander could say, before shutting his eyes.
This conversation informed him a lot about what was going on in the dark zone. Many things made him worry, but many other things made him feel strangely relieved as well.
Shortly after that, the middle-aged man curled a soft smile.
It was a smile that made Aaron freeze for a second.
“Your plan isn’t so bad, Aaron.” He said smilingly. “But there’s a problem.”
“What?”
The other raised his eyebrows slightly.
“You don’t know Vincent boy well enough.” Sander’s expression was back to being hopeful again. “I don’t know whose idea’s right and who’s wrong. But I trust that boy. He always has something to surprise me. And trust me when he knows about everything thoroughly, he will never let you all do something so ridiculous as you’ve planned to, Aaron.”
“...”
Aaron was still for a moment. He kind of doubted Sander’s smile, because he had never seen that man make such a face before.
“Trust?” He spoke. “A boy will never be able to carry the fate of the entire world, Sander. And as a decent adult, you don’t think that it’s messed up to push this expectation on his shoulders alone like this?”
“No, not at all,” Sander smirked, so unbothered that it made Aaron pause. “I would never let him face this if he was just a boy. But that boy has Winter’s blood, no, ...he has Alice’s blood running in his vein. So, he absolutely has the right and ability to control the Pride system. He’s not like Frazier who dares to put himself as the king, but Vincent is the righteous heir!”
“What?” Aaron gasped in shock. “Blood of Winter and Alice. You’re telling me that this boy is a son of...”
“There are so many things you don’t know about, during the time that you’ve been cut off from the real world, Aaron.” Sander cut him off in a mocking voice. “And don’t you forget. A king always has his best knight by his side. Do, let me tell you this, this knight of his is ...savage.”
BOOM!!!
Suddenly, the sound of an explosion went off, echoing through this dark space. Aaron flinched back for a second, before hurriedly turning away and opening another window up. What was playing on the screen was a large fire blazing up high into the mid sky with Alexander ship flying through out of it!
“W ...what the hell is that fireball?!” Aaron bawled.
“If you want to be Vincent’s enemy, then you should get used to this kind of thing.” Sander smiled. “Because this boy has gathered a lot of incredible superhumans by his side.”
----------------
BOOM!!!
Another bomb explosion went off with many waves of fire spreading out. Alexander ship was launching away through the flames fast. The explosions were enough to burn the Gargoyles to death one ground after another. The immense amount of vibration seemed to knock everyone in the bridge room back to their consciousness already!
“Shut down every weapon system. Shift all the crystal core’s energy to the flying system!”
Maysa commanded instantly. She stared out in front of her confidently. Her hands were holding tightly to the captain chair.
“Angie, this is not enough. Tell Kongkiat to throw more bomb particles up there.”
“Okay!” After replying, Angela turned to the communication channel right away. “Kong, did you hear that? Throw another set up there.”
“Done!”
The boy quickly shouted back in reply.
Back on the deck of the warship. There were only Kongkiat and Tunwa left standing and holding the battle here. Other players had been told to get back down and find something for themselves to hang on to. Meanwhile, Shindanai was told to prepare something in the ejection exit of the ship!
“Mister Tunwa, one more barrel!” Kongkiat turned to shout at the older one.
“Sure, catch!”
After replying, Tunwa kicked a round wooden barrel to him right away. It was rolling on the ship’s roof, going directly to Kongkiat. Then those onyx black eyes widened. The small man punched down on the ship in the second that barrel rolled to him.
Tornado Smash!
A moment later, a cyclone appeared around the barrel and swiped it up high in the air. Then it was broken away after getting squeezed in by the cyclone’s pressure, making the strange-looking grey powder leak out and spread all over the area. If one got a better look, they would know that it was a mixture of many types of gunpowder and a couple of inflammable crystals. If this mixture was combined and put in some shell, it would make a missile with damage as violent as a Napalm bomb that spread a ring of flame out wide, very suitable for eliminating a group of enemies.
“Now, Angie!” Maysa shouted her command.
“Yes!”
Inferno Bomb!
BOOM!
Angela quickly cast her magic through the MAS (Magic Attack System), causing the explosive particles that were spreading in the air to catch fire. Of course, the inflammable powder touched fire, it blew off violently, spreading deadly damage to all the few Gargoyles that were flying up there!
“Luckily, we’ve taken care of the Balrogs.” Tunwa held his thumbs up to Kongkiat.
“That’s right. Or else, Captain’s firebomb plan wouldn’t have worked.” Kongkiat smiled back at him.
“So, it depends on whether Shin will be able to deal with the rest or not now.”
