Chapter 510: Versus “Gaia” and “Poseidon” (3) Part V
Chapter 510: Versus “Gaia” and “Poseidon” (3) Part V
“KYAAAAAA!!!” And this was the scream of a girl who had never been thrown away at such fast speed ever in her life!
The lady who attacked Wisana looked down at her hand with a quite surprised expression. She blinked for a moment, wondering.
“It’s strange.” She spoke.
“You, how dare you do that to him!”
Samie shouted angrily. She quickly flew at the newcomer enemy, making those blue eyes glance up at the dragon that was coming for her. She let out a slight sigh and snapped her fingers.
“...W ...what is this?!”
Within the blink of an eye, Gaia, who was lying still in the middle of the sea, suddenly moved her hands. One of them reached out and grabbed Samie accurately at the moment when she got careless!
“Sarquros dragon, level 4 danger confirmed. Processing Frozen Seal.”
“W ...what do you think you’re doing? Stop!!”
That was all she could say before the hand that was grabbing Samie started melting down into liquid, absorbing her slim body into that hand of Gaia without any way to escape!
“Damn you. What are you doing...?”
Samie who was getting sucked in slowly could not say anything more.
The woman with brown short hair glanced her cold eyes at her, and then she sighed.
“Stop struggling to do something so useless, Sarquros. You know that Gaia’s body is immune to any kind of magic. So, no matter how hard you try, you will never get away from this seal.”
After that, Samie’s body got absorbed in entirely at the same time as those indigo-blue eyes of the woman shut closed. She started walking slowly toward the sword that was still stuck in Gaia’s body, even though the owner of it had already been knocked away.
But it was so strange that the item did not disappear with its master.
“Alright then, let’s finish our business here, the Key of Forbidden.”
After she finished speaking, the Excalibur that was stuck in Gaia’s chest started to glow brightly, while Gaia was pushing herself up again. The cold woman walked up to stand on the palm of the goddess who had now stood up straight with the sword stuck out of her chest.
“The Key of Forbidden isn’t for someone like you to have it.”
Jinnie’s voice rang harshly. This might be the first time that she ever talked in this tone. It sounded cold and resentful.
“Whether it is for us or not, it has nothing to do with you anyway.”
After speaking, the lady held her hand close to the sword’s handle, before opening a lot of information up around her. In the blink of an eye, there were static flashes glowing out of the sword.
“KYAAAA!!” And then Jinnie’s shriek followed.
“Don’t worry. It won’t hurt for too long, AI. The system that functions your senses will be removed soon, including all the tasks Winter put in you.”
“N ...no. stop. Don’t take what belongs to Master away, ...KYAAA!!”
The more Jinnie spoke, the louder she cried out. The expression of the short-haired lady still remained emotionless.
Meanwhile, countless pieces of data were flooding into her information windows.
“It doesn’t belong to him anymore. I’m sorry.”
“KYAAAA!!”
----------------
“Ouch...”
The whine was heard softly as her slender hand reached up to the forehead that was having a stinging pain. Those green eyes narrowed down for a moment like her consciousness faded away a little.
“Miss Waree?”
That condition could not slip away from the eyes of the medic of this warship. Miss Stella touched Waree’s back with a concerned face. That was probably because Waree’s face got all pale like her blood was drying out.
“Are you okay? You look pale.” Stella asked.
“Y ...yes, I’m fine.”
Waree brushed that concern off with a smile. Then she decided to get her attention back on the battle scene playing on the information window at her MDS (Magic Defense System) station.
Stella nodded at her worriedly. Meanwhile, Waree was biting her lips so hard that it started to get bruised.
She had this headache again, the same one that happened to her during the incident in Dores.
Why did it have to be triggered in a time like this?!
“Captain, we’ve got a problem. I can’t detect Vincent’s pulse at all.”
Stella shouted out of shock after she turned her attention back to the information window showing the current HP of every member of the guild. And suddenly, the status ‘No Pulse Found’ appeared with Wisana’s name.
“What?!”
Maysa yelled aloud, turning to check on one of the dozens of other windows she had opened to plan the strategy. Then her eyes widened because many things were happening too fast for her to get herself together.
“What do you mean by that? Is he dead?” She asked, voice shaking.
“It’s not clear. Maybe he’s not dead.” Stella replied. “The signals are so confusing right now.”
Hearing that, Maysa knitted her eyebrows together.
“Aerin, can you get the enemy’s image?” She demanded.
“Certainly.”
Shortly after, what Maysa wanted to see appeared clearly. And that was all to make those light grey eyes widen out of shock. Because right now, there was only Gaia standing tall. There was no Sander, Samie, Mona Lisa, or Wisana.
Except...
“Aerin, zoom in on Gaia’s chest please. The spot that has the bright aura.”
“...Y ...yes!”
And Aerin did as she was told. The image that everyone saw after was a slim woman with dozens of information windows opening up around her to do something with that dazzling light in the middle of Gaia’s chest. The light was in the shape of a familiar sword if they took a better look at it.
“That’s the Excalibur...” Maysa whispered. “Jinnie!”
“It’s the sword that Boss processes out of Jinnie, Cap?” Aerin shouted in asking.
“Yes, it is.” She replied. “But why is Jinnie out there?”
“We’re running out of time!!!”
Suddenly, Waree shouted out with power in her voice. Those green eyes were flashing furiously. Angela even gasped at the tone and the expression that she had never seen on her friend before.
“Waree...?”
Everyone called her name in surprise. However, Waree only glanced over at Maysa, unbothered by other eyes that were on her.
“We can’t let them take Jinnie. If they get her, there will be a huge problem for Pride and even for Wisana!”
“Waree...”
Maysa repeated her best friend’s name with a concerned face.
She had never heard Waree call her brother by his full name before. Plus, her words sounded strange, even though her tone still sounded like Waree. But Maysa just knew. That was not her friend speaking!
“Quick! Before everything is too late. Do something to get Jinnie out of there!”
The shout was full of power, getting Maysa’s consciousness back again.
She clenched her jaws, staring at the screens that opened before her for a quick moment. And then she glanced over to Aerin, who seemed to still be shocked by Waree’s tone.
“Aerin!” She shouted her name. “Contact Shin. Tell him to be in the ejection tunnel.”
“Y ...yes?” Aerin was still not following.
“Tell Shin to be in the ejection tunnel, now!!”
“Yes, Captain!!!”
The communication agent turbulently did her duty right away because Maysa’s face was just as serious as Waree’s right now. After that, the captain pressed a button on her chair to contact someone quickly.
“What is it?”
It was Manoch’s face that showed up. The chief of the mechanic unit seemed like he was busy, and obviously repairing the damaged parts on Alexander right now.
“Bring twenty kilograms of gunpowder and any kind of explosive particles on the deck in three minutes.”
“Gunpowder, explosive particles?” Manoch raised his eyebrows. “Why do you need those? What are you trying to do? I’m busy as hell right now.”
“Don’t ask too much!” Maysa snapped. “Just get them ready in three minutes!”
“Oi, wait...”
He did not get a chance to ask anything more, because Maysa ended their call first.
She took a deep breath in her lungs and turned to Waree, who did not let Maysa out of her stare. Then she nodded at the girl, before turning to Mek, the ship navigator.
“Mek, prepare the ship.” She spoke.
“W ...what are you going to do, Captain?”
“Tell everyone to hang on tight. Alexander will release the Over limit in a few minutes.”
