Chapter 506: Versus “Gaia” and “Poseidon” (3) Part I
The surroundings were dark and icy cold, even though there was no wind blowing.
Two pairs of eyes were staring at each other as if they were trying to reach the other’s mind to be sure. One of them was a man who was the best in strategic fighting. His long black hair was wet on his neck. His lips had a beard growing sparsely around were spreading out like he was having fun.
The other was a man with blue, pointing hair. He was standing still, while his ruby red eyes were gazing at the enemy before him with a creepy smile on his face.
“Sander, Sander, Sander,” He called out the name of the other like he was calling for a child. “I didn’t expect that you would be crazy enough to get inside of Poseidon like this. A dog like you even dares to fight in the other’s area?”
“Well, the atmosphere here isn’t bad, except for this reek of piss in your diaper, Aaron.” Sander smiled widely. “Seems like your daddy forgot to change it for you again. That’s why the place stinks like this.”
“What a big mouth you got there, Sander.” The pointing-haired man smiled softly.
“You talk too much like usual, too, Aaron.”
After his words, the pointing-haired man curled up a smile. His rough hand summoned a massive lance with light blue triple blades out.
Trident of Poseidon.
“Oh, you still keep the first toy you got from your father? You’re such a good baby boy.”
Sander burst into laughter, pointing his finger at the trident.
“You’re the one who talks, Mad Dog.” Aaron snorted. “A hellhound like you keeps yours as well, don’t you?”
Sander chuckled at those words. He tilted his head to the side slightly, before pulling something out of his shirt collar. It was a silver necklace with an odd design that looked either like lightning or a scythe.
“Your nose’s quick as always, Aaron.” He smiled amusedly.
“Of course. Without it, you would never have the gut to follow me inside Poseidon like this. Without it, you would never stand a chance in any fight against us.”
The listener cracked into a laugh, shaking his head slightly. “Did you get something wrong?”
“What?”
“Fight? There’s no intention for me to fight you here at all. I’m here to tear you into pieces!”
The owner of those rust-colored eyes shouted unyieldingly. Then, the tall man launched straight at the other. The man named Aaron held his weapon up in defense right away. The first swing was aimed to cut across Sander’s torso. However, the agility of the master of the magic warrior class was enough to dodge the attack conveniently.
The hit back was done a second after when a bare fist was thrown right into the enemy’s face. A strong wind followed. It blew against him, nipping on Aaron’s cheeks and drawing some blood out. The blue-haired man took steps backward to get it together again as he swung the trident in his hand skillfully as if it were a part of his body. A blink later, he pointed his favorite weapon at Sander, and a small fountain streamed out from a small circle on the ground to be shot at him.
Titan Impact!
BOOM!!
The owner of those rust-colored eyes smacked down at the floor as hard as he could, cracking some large stone up to protect himself in time before the fountain hit him. Anyway, the impact from the stream was still strong enough to break those stones away!
Ocean Fang!!
As fast as a thought, Aaron would never let go of this chance. He swung the trident in his hand again, summoning tentacles like Poseidon’s but they were way smaller in size. Even so, the attack speed and damage were not less at all!
BOOM!!
Hundreds of tentacles reached out to stab the enemy all together, barely leaving him a way to escape. Even the stones that were put up in defense were broken into tiny pieces. However, all that Aaron could sense was emptiness!
“Over here, Buddy.”
“...!!”
Aaron was so shocked that he jumped when the cold voice rang from behind him. However, he could not turn back around to see, because a wide blade of a scythe was put scarily close against his throat right now.
“I wouldn’t do anything stupid right now, if I were you, Aaron.” Sander curled up a soft smile. “You’d probably slept through all these years, so your movement’s got so slow like this.”
“You’re just too fast, Mad Dog,” Aaron said sarcastically. “Your Jumper skill is really the best. Even Viola can’t be compared to you about this.”
“Thanks for the compliment,” Sander said in a voice that sounded like he was holding in his laugh. “So, it seems like I’ve won in the first round again?”
“Yeah, ...seems like I got to give you that, Mad Dog.” Aaron ground his teeth tightly.
Sander made a snorting sound out of his throat. Then he pressed the blade of the scythe on the enemy’s throat harder, drawing red blood out of the long cut.
“Why did you come out of the dark zone? What does your father want exactly? And what do you need the Key of Forbidden for? Answer the questions, Aaron.”
The one with blue hair sighed out briefly. He glanced at the enemy from the corner of his eye, not daring to move the tips of his fingers. Because he knew that if he did something tricky, this man would not hesitate to cut his head off.
“Are you investigating me now, Sander?” Aaron tried to probe.
“Not really. I just want to know what I need to know.” Sander answered, unbothered. “So, I suggest you answer my questions, Aaron. Because one, I don’t hesitate to kill you here at all. And two, after I do that, I’ll delete you from the Pride world permanently. And in such a case, you won’t even get a chance to say goodbye to your friends.”
“Delete me permanently?” Aaron burst into laughter. “Is someone like you even able to do that?”
“Yes, I am.”
After speaking, a mysterious aura started swirling around before Aaron before it started forming the shape of a person. And then, those ruby-red eyes widened out of shock!
“I...it can’t be. Why is she with you here? She should be with Father right now.”
“There’re so many things you don’t know, Aaron,” Sander spoke, voice stiff. “And she’s the proof to confirm that I can delete all your existence from this world easily. So, tell me what I want to know. Now!”
Aaron seemed to be anxious after seeing the aura that was swirling right there. He looked back and forth between it and Sander with a hard-to-read expression. His lips pressed together tightly.
“Buddy, are you going to answer now, or not?” Sander reiterated.
“My actions here aren’t Father’s order,” Aaron replied finally.
“So, it’s true.” The questioner sighed. “This time’s really not Frazier’s order either. The one who is behind this and the last time when Alen and Nero were messing around out here, is Lucius, right?”
“Something like that.” Aaron snorted.
“And why do you need the Key of Forbidden?”
Hearing the question again, Aaron cracked into a laugh right away. He glanced at Sander as if he was mocking him.
“What a dumb question to ask, Sander. What do you think keys are used for?”
The listener froze. He frowned his brows tightly, before pressing the blade deep into Aaron’s neck, making more blood spat out ghastly. Meanwhile, the one who was getting cut ground his teeth, huffing a breath out of his nose harshly.
The pain was real.
So, it had been confirmed now that the aura in the shape of a woman in front of him was...
The real thing!
