Chapter 477: The Forbidden Weapon, “Dark Longinus” Part V

“I can take it. ...I ...it’s nothing.”

He said before shutting his eyes closed with a suffering face. The tall man was curling himself on the ground now. Waree knew that Shin could endure the pain, but it was her, who could not stand watching it.

“H ...h ...how long is it going take before the tattoo’s done?” Shin asked.

“Too bad that it will take about 20 minutes in process.”

Hearing the answer, everyone turned to look at the weapon crafter in unison. Especially Waree, she never thought that she had to see Shin in this state for 20 minutes straight before.

“Right, that’s really too bad to hear,” Shin said jokingly.

“Don’t worry about that, Shin, you’ll be fine in a bit.”

After speaking, Snow winked at him.

But he did not believe that being fine would ever come to him, because the longer it got, the more pain he felt. This red ink was eating away his arm. It was worse than getting stabbed by a knife or burnt in fire. It felt as if every nerve system in his left arm was crushed harshly.

“I don’t see how I’m going to be fine in this,” Shin said.

“Because no matter how painful it will become from now on, you’re not going to be able to feel anymore.”

“Y ...you’re such a jerk.”

Right after his words, his consciousness was blacked out completely.

“...n!”

A sound was caught by Shin’s ears slightly, as he felt a touch on his cheek. It was a touch of something so warm and gentle.

“Shin!”

“This guy’s awake. Finally.”

“Mister Shin, are you okay?”

The different voices that sounded worried followed. The darkness that was clouding around him started fading as a soft white light brightened up instead, revealing the blurry face of someone a few inches away in front of him.

After, the warmth on his cheek was now confirmed that it was from the slender hand of a woman who was holding his face to wake him up right now.

Those lavender-colored eyes were blinking as he tried to get them adjusted to see clearer. And the first thing he saw was the pretty face of the girl named Waree, who had a complete wry smile on her face. The smile was probably from the true feelings in her heart. But it looked wry because her eyes were wet with tears.

“Why are you crying?”

Shin asked with a face that was hard to say if he was being hurt or beaten.

“You really had to ask that?!” Waree snapped in a worried voice.

Hearing that, Shin looked around and saw his friends also had the same face as Waree.

“You were blacked out,” Manoch said in a shaking voice. “Damn it, dude. Please don’t have me watch you struggling in suffering like that ever again. You were screaming like someone was stabbing you.”

“But you’re alright now, right, Mister Shin?”

Aerin spoke. Her face looked anxious. She was sitting with her knees up not far from him with tiny Angie clinging to her shoulder. And Angie’s face did not look less terrified than the others at all.

“Yes, I am,” Shin replied as he pushed himself up with Waree supporting him. “How long did I pass out?”

He turned to ask her. And Waree wiped her tears away, before smiling at him.

“About 2 hours.”

“Two? But didn’t Snow say it would take about half an hour?”

“Your Steel Body and Metal Blood are the ones to blame, Shin. Because of these two abilities, the curses were difficultly absorbed into your body. That’s why it took longer than expected like this.”

And then, another voice rang up.

Snow walked to join them after realizing that Shin was already awake. She looked clean. Clearly, she had taken some time in the shower and was now drinking some strong coffee from the cup in her hand.

Hearing that, Shin narrowed his eyes at her with a confused face.

And Snow grinned back at him in response.

“Why are you making that face? I make mistakes sometimes, too, you know. Don’t be mad.”

“But you never said that it would hurt this hurt. That was more than the game system could even comprehend.” Shindanai said in a serious voice.

“That’s because it was a forbidden weapon, my dude. It comes with the pain like this, that’s why most people don’t choose to play this kind of weapon.” Snow said, then grinned. “But anyway, why don’t you check out your hand a bit, little brother?”

The man paused. He looked down at his left hand right away. In fact, the pain he was having then was completely gone and replaced with a tattoo on the back of his left hand. The tattoo looked like a symbol of a cross placed on a crown with two spears crossing each other in the middle with a wing spreading out of each side of it.

“The tattoo, it’s done...” Shin whispered softly.

“Congratulations, dude. The Longinus is now yours again.”

“...”

Shin blinked after he heard that. He reached his other hand to rub this freshly wound a couple of times, but it did not hurt anymore. It felt just like before. Clearly, those curses had been absorbed and they were now sleeping soundly inside him.

“It seems like it accepted you so well. Because if it didn’t, the curses would eat you away and kill you instantly, dude.”

“HUH?!!”

Everyone bawled resoundingly, especially Waree. They all turned to look at this crafter like they did not believe their ears.

“Isn’t that the most important thing to mention, Miss Snow?!” Waree yelled.

“Sorry, sorry. I was very sleepy, so I completely forgot about it. Anyway, he passed the test, right? I was kind of sure from the start that Longinus would accept Shin. Well. It’s been with him for years, why wouldn’t it like this guy?”

Listening to that, Shin reached up to rub his temples wearily as his mouth whispered, “Unbelievable.” However, he just stood up without saying anything more, like he was too tired to talk back.

“So, it means that everything is completed now, right?”

Manoch was the one asking. And to answer that, Snow grinned right away.

She glanced at Shin, her close friend, before winking at the man.

“Everything can’t be completed, unless you try it out, Shin.”

After her words, Shin stared down at his left hand again. Then a soft smile crossed the face of the young man. Meanwhile, the one who was the closest to him like Waree unintentionally blinked and she could not help but smile a little as well.

He was just like Na...

When he got a new toy, he would be like this, too.

Guys would be guys, huh?

After the thought, she let go of her hand that was holding him. Shin was still smiling as his eyes gazed at her. Seeing that, Waree nodded, implying that he should do what he wanted to do.

“How do I summon it out?” Shin turned to ask Snow.

“That’s not hard, bro.” She said, pointing her finger at her temple. “You just have to think to summon it. Don’t forget that Longinus has been one with you already.”

He held the tattooed hand up to look closely, while the rest of them were slowly stepping away, as if they knew that something dangerous was about to happen.

Shin reached another hand to touch the tattoo softly. And in the blink of an eye, the symbol started to glow brightly!

BOOM!!!

The explosion blew out of Shin’s tall body, breaking the large area of the floor made of solid stone into pieces.

“Damn, the whole room was coated with Mithril, and this thing just blew it up in the blink of an eye?”
