Chapter 462: Quid Pro Quo Part VI
Chapter 462: Quid Pro Quo Part VI
“I can’t do that.”
The old man shook his head slightly, making everyone even quieter.
“This mess’s been going out of hand now, and this is the only way to end it without causing anyone trouble, Miss. I have to take responsibility for what my grandson did as well. So, I’d like it to be over this way.”
He said, ruffing his grandson’s hair softly like he was comforting the man. Wisana was speechless and all he could do was grudgingly nod in agreement.
“Go, Berm, go get the stone. You know where it is, don’t you? Since you’re the one who takes care of everything in this hotel.”
“Yes, Chief.”
After that, the huge, bearded man stomped out of the room.
Everyone else started chatting, looking at each other like they had no clue what to do next.
What was about to come for the rest of the story and how would this end?
“I have to leave the rest from you to handle, Miss Vissara. Please return the stone back to the monster so you can get your daughter back, too.”
Wisana nodded to accept the old man’s words.
“Yes, I will. It has to be me.” He said in a delighted voice. “I can detect my daughter’s signal slightly, so you don’t have to worry, I’ll go after that stupid golem and end all of this.”
He smiled softly after speaking, making everyone curl up a smile as well, especially Grandpa who seemed to be very relieved.
“Then I should go get ready now. And I’ll be rushing after the golem. Seems like it hasn’t gone very far.”
Wisana spoke again, before standing up. His eyes glanced over at Jinnie who just got her wounds freshly wrapped by Miki.
“You’re gonna be okay, Jinnie?” Wisana asked.
“Of course, I am. I’m always by your side anyway.”
After speaking, Jinnie pulled every bandage off her body in the blink of an eye, making the girl in Yukata whine confusedly.
“Come on, I took an awfully long time to wrap those bandages!”
The master and the AI only smiled without saying anything in response.
After that, both walked out of the hotel’s lobby. Wisana did not forget to look at Jeng, who was sitting still in shock, once again. He sighed slightly, before curling up a smile.
“Hey, Jeng.”
Wisana called his name, making Jeng flinch a little but still not looking up at him.
“Just so you know, I would do the same if I were you, so you didn’t do anything wrong. Your friends are not mad at you for that at all. Instead, they still admire you as before. At least you stay and help fix the trouble that you didn’t even realize that you’re the one causing it. But if this was someone else, they would have run away from this village a long time ago.”
Then he walked back to place his hand on Jeng’s shoulder before he continued briefly,
“So, you can stop acting like a pathetic dumbass already.”
The one who was being comforted widened his eyes a little more after he heard that, but he still did not dare look Wisana in the eyes anyway. Seeing that, the owner of the slender hand squeezed his shoulder softly, before leaving the hotel’s lobby right away.
“Alright, you guys better be prepared as well. There can be unexpected things occurring anytime now. Move now.”
Grandpa Khao yelled the order out quickly, making everyone in the room jump before they started rushing out like disturbed bees. And the one with the highest title here started laughing out loud at them.
“Well, well, since Miss Vissara arrived in our town, everyone here’s started to look livelier and more active. Do you think so, Jeng?”
The older man said, patting his grandson’s shoulder softly.
His words and tone did not sound different. He did not make any fuss, even though he just found out that his grandson caused the trouble.
“You’re not mad at me, right, Grandpa?” Jeng asked, not daring to look his grandfather in the eye.
The listener creased his face as he messed with his grandson’s hair out of annoyance-endearment.
“Why would I be mad, Jeng?” He laughed loudly. “You did it with a good intention for me and everyone in this town. Like the girl said, Jeng, why would you overthink about it?”
Hearing that, the one who felt guilty finally looked up at his grandfather’s eyes. Jeng saw the old man smiling so wide that he could see his gum, and then, he could not help but start laughing, too. After that, he glanced over at somebody’s slender body walking along with her AI with a willful face.
Jeng then changed his expression to be very serious and it looked incredibly stressful.
He pressed his lips together tightly and frowned his eyebrows.
“You’re really going to let Miss Vissara go alone?”
Grandpa asked, making the grandson jump.
“What else can I do? The girl has stated clearly that we’re just going to slow her down if we go with her.”
The older one smiled slightly, before hitting his grandson’s back with a loud smacking noise. The tall man jumped off the ground because of that. His back probably got a large bruise now!
“That hurts, Grandpa!” Jeng shouted.
“I’m glad it does, let me tell you something, boy, this kind of girl is rarer than to find a needle in the ocean. Are you sure you want to let her go like this, hmmm?”
Hearing his grandfather’s words, the listener looked up at the girl again. But this time, she had already disappeared from his sight. And then, Jeng let out a long sigh,
“You know that I don’t like climbing up to a high place,” Jeng said with a laugh.
“Damn, and you’re just going to wait for her to come down from the sky?”
“Well, that’s still better than me falling down and hurting myself.”

PRUD!!
The sound of clothes spreading up to the back came up as these slender hands tied his black hair up in a loose ponytail, making him look cute as some locks of it brushed against his clear cheeks.
Right now, Wisana was in the same outfit as he came to this place again. A large jacket was worn on top of a black bikini. He was wearing jeans shorts with knee-length socks and high-top shoes. He stood in front of the hotel, getting ready to face the enemy with the villagers rushing busily in the background.
“Jinnie, check how many crystals I have in the inventory.”
The order was spoken by the master, making his AI that floated in the air open his inventory window up right away.
“You currently have 850 fire crystals, 1,500 water crystals, 2,930 air crystals, and 1,500 earth crystals, sir.”
Hearing that, the master huffed out a long sigh.
“We’re too short of fire crystals. I’m not sure if they will be enough to fight it. I shouldn’t have used that many last night.”
He reached to scratch the nape of his neck.
But Jinnie gasped, hurriedly floating down after she heard her master’s complaints.
“D ...does that imply that you think of fighting the golem, sir?”
Wisana looked the AI in the eyes after the question. Then he cracked into a laugh with a delighted smile, that Jinnie always saw a disaster behind it every time!
“You really had to ask?”
“Master. Grandpa said that he wants everyone to avoid fighting. Plus, you’re after it by yourself, do you really think that you can beat a boss with such level so easily?”
The listener shook his head in reply, but the smile was still on his face.
“No, I don’t think that I can beat it that easily. I do think that it will be fun though.”
“Oh, come on!!”
Jinnie whined like that because she had run out of words to convince this impulsive guy now. She only knew one thing for sure; he was ready to risk getting himself killed in a battle again!
“It’s fine, Jinnie. The stupid golem came all the way here for me and it even dared to take my baby away from me. So, don’t think that I’m going to let it get away with this so easily.”
He said, before curling up a cruel grin. Jinnie let out an exhausted sigh.
“Do as you please then. I can’t stop you anyway.”
“That’s my AI.”
“But anyway, it seems like Mona Lisa’s signal had already stopped moving. So, the golem had arrived at its base and started waiting for us to come for it now.”
Hearing that, Wisana nodded in reply right away.
Then, the two of them started walking out of the village. However, there was a tall figure of someone grabbing Wisana’s shoulder first, making those amber eyes glance over his shoulder to back.
And he saw Jeng, the broom head standing there,
“You’re really going to leave with only the two of you?”
He asked. Wisana then turned to catch eye with Jinnie.
“I know that you’re not planning to do any quid pro quo, trading the item with the girl then get back to the village, are you? With that reckless habit of yours, you’re definitely going to fight that golem.”
After hearing that, Wisana blinked, before cracking out a laugh.
“You sure know too much.”
Jeng laughed at that comment.
“And you’re thinking about fighting it by yourself. You sure are out of your mind, too.”
“Well, I’m cool with that. What about you, getting fully dressed like this, going somewhere?”
The question made Jeng huff out a brief sigh before he nodded at the girls.
“Why did you even have to ask? Of course, I’m going with you.”
Wisana was expecting this from the first place that this guy would join his party surely, so he was not that surprised. In fact, he was glad that Jeng could get back on his feet this fast and that he was responsible enough to not sit back at the village, waiting for someone else to clean up his mess for him.
This guy was just the kind of guy Wisana liked.
“Are you sure that you want to go with me? For the record, I don’t have time to babysit you, you know, kid?”
Jeng slipped out a laugh.
“Who are you calling a kid, huh?” He snapped. “Also, it’s you, who should not get in my way.”
Wisana smiled at those words.
“Understood, sir. I’ll get everything done before I even get in your way.”
