Chapter 445: The Favor Part I

“Walk faster, you puffed chest!”

The shout came from a man whom Wisana could confirm that he did not have any traits of a gentleman at all since he was bawling and complaining before Wisana. The man with a height of around 185 centimeters was stomping his feet, looking like a thug.

His hair that was pointing upward looked already too strange to look at, but it did not include his face which looked like he was pissed all the time. Wisana could only snort, turning his face away from the man like the thug in front of him was unpleasant to look at.

So, right now, he was just carrying his daughter, stomping inside the hotel of Vanilia with a confused face. He was still curious about why the villagers wanted him dead so much. Also, the word, ‘Sand monster’ made him even more confused.

“Hey,” Wisana called out to the one walking ahead of him in a calm voice.

‘What is it?” The hoarse voice replied.

“What’s going on in your village?”

Hearing the question, the man named Jeng fell quiet.

“It’s none of your business.” That was all he said.

“Eh, but I think it is since I was just targeted for my life by your people out there.”

The cheeky one faked a sweet voice, making one of those who targeted her life out there like him jump. Those black eyes looked back over his shoulder to the slim one who was walking after him as he sighed.

“Our village’s been under attack,” Jeng answered.

“Under attack?” The listener raised his eyebrows. “From what? I see that the town is very messy. Some army wants to invade your town, or what? Since we’re in the period of war.”

“Our town didn’t sign the agreement to participate in the war, so our town can be claimed by any guild.”

“Is that so?” Wisana’s mouth parted a little. “Why not though? They said the town that registers to participate in the war will get a large sum of money from Pride staff, doesn’t it?”

“Our town is a tourist destination, and it’s not that large. So, even if we signed up to participate in the war, the money wouldn’t be that much. It’s better to keep running it as a tourism town to welcome travelers from various places.”

Hearing that, Wisana glanced around, considering.

“Yeah, your hotel sure has a lot of customers.”

Hearing those sarcastic words, the listener rolled his eyes as he pressed his lips together like he was restraining this mood.

“I think it’s hard to have a traveler passing by in a war time like this. Also, this town isn’t a popular attraction at all.” Wisana looked around. “So, what’s been attacking this town? You haven’t...”

And there it was, the patience of the man ran short. He turned back to look at the talkative one with an angry stare that made Wisana wince.

“Stout?” Wisana pointed at himself.

“Why do you keep asking? Why are we just talking about all that? ‘Why didn’t we close the town and join the war,’ huh?! Don’t show your opinion on something you know nothing about, plus, this is not about you, so stop asking questions already, OUCH.”

Jeng did not finish, because he screamed out instead. While he was shouting and putting his emotions out, he unintentionally pointed his finger at Wisana, and that was the reason why Mona Lisa proceeded to bite that finger with her full mouth!!

“Ouch, what the hell are you doing?!” Jeng shouted aloud.

“Come on, Mo, let him go. Pa ...Mommy told you that no biting, right?”

Before those sharp fangs could be pulled away, the damage was done. Jeng waved his hand, it was clear that there was a trace of teeth on that finger.

“What the heck, she’s feral like a dog. Did she get a Rabie vaccine yet?”

“Hey, my child is not a dog.” Wisana turned to give the man the look, before looking down at his daughter. “Why did you bite him? This is not okay, sweetheart.”

“Well, he was insulting Pa ...I mean, Mommy!”

The little girl argued frustratedly, while her amber eyes glared at Jeng as a threat that said, “I’m going to bite that finger off, if you don’t stop insulting my Mommy.”

Seeing that, Jeng started sweating, stepping away from them instantly.

He did not get along well with kids at first, and now he did not want to go near any of them anymore.

“What do you mean by that, Jeng?” Suddenly, Wisana spoke up. He stared at the one in front of him like he demanded the answer right now. “You’re right, I know nothing. But you can’t forget that you tried to chop me up in pieces 10 minutes ago. Isn’t it too irresponsible to say such a thing? You’re not going to tell me the reason I was targeted out there, huh, you broom head?!”

This time, Jeng was talked back burningly. Those amber eyes of the pretty girl stared at him like she was ready to fight, meanwhile. He reached his hands up to touch his broom head carefully.

“What did you say?! A milk cow like you don’t have any right to insult me like this. Do you think you’re so pretty, huh? What kind of man do you want to seduce dressed up like that? And do you want to brag about those cancers on your chest that much? Because personally, I don’t find it special at all!”
