Chapter 434: Snow Queen Part I

Chapter 434: Snow Queen Part I

“Welcome to Kitty casino. What can I help you with?”

The girls in sexy cat girl costumes shouted in unison, making the eyes behind the glasses of Manoch widen right away.

“Holy mother. Aren’t they afraid of catching a cold wearing a costume like that?” He muttered to himself.

The hallway was laid with red carpet from the entrance with an extensive line of young women in sexy costumes that almost looked like a bikini standing along the way. Their cat tails were wiggling left and right steadily until a good-looking, tall man walked in. Their tails started wiggling remarkably faster.

“You’re here for the first time? Jenny can help guide you around.”

And then, there she was, the brave receptionist with fire-red, shoulder-length hair. She quickly and cheerfully walked to Waree, making the girl in a guy firm curl up a smile back to her in response, and it looked exactly like her brother’s smile.

The smile that was unintentionally flirtatious!!

“For newcomers, would you like me to explain how to use any machines and services in Kitty casino for you?” the receptionist hopefully asked Waree.

However, a slender hand was held up to interrupt first.

Those lavender-colored eyes turned to look scoldingly at the receptionist, making her flinch.

“No, we would not.” Shin said in a slow voice, “We’re here to look for someone, not to play. You might go to service other customers now.”

After speaking, the slim one in a beige dress just stomped out without saying anything, leaving the rest of the party sending her a smile to apologize for Shin’s cold manner. Especially Waree, she gave these girls such a sweet smile that it melted them away.

As he walked, Shin tried to search around the casino thoroughly. Many players were walking everywhere, crowding the place. It was obvious how famous the place was. It was a 4 floors building, and Shin was walking through the center hall of the casino. He looked up at the cavity where someone had put a large stone there in decoration. He was trying to look for something, but it was not there to be found.

“Find anything?”

Manoch was the one who walked in to join him. The glasses man placed his hand on Shin’s shoulder familiarly, forgetting that the other was a woman right now.

“No,” Shin answered briefly. “But I’m sure they’re here. They have to come back and die here totally.”

“Is he though? The one who can help you repair your four seasons is really at a place like this?”

Hearing those questions, Shin glanced at the one next to him instantly.

“Why did you ask that?”

“Well, of course, if he’s one of the best weapon makers, he needs to have his own shop with connections throughout Pride. You see, those famous crafters like Arcade and Darga both have their weapon shops, and they can make millions in a month from making swords. Then there’s your weapon maker, he’s stuck in a casino?”

Listening to that, Shin let out a soft sigh. And then he looked around the place again,

“Not having a shop doesn’t always mean they’re unskilled.”

“Well, yeah, okay,” Manoch said wearily.

“They’re just a fun-loving person,” Shin said without looking, making Manoch pause.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“It means that my weapon maker doesn’t have a shop because they like fun. They’d prefer to have thrills than money. They probably make a couple of items a year. But every item made by them is all in the hands of those Pride’s top-tier players.”

Manoch stopped short at the words of the girl before him. He narrowed his eyes like he did not want to believe his ears that much. But if what Shin bragged about him was true, he thought he knew about a weapon maker who was similar to the story Shin told, too.

A weapon maker who only made a few items in a year. But every item he made would be an S-rank item for the least. And this crafter was also the one who made the Four Seasons for Shin. If he was the same person he knew,

“Shin, don’t tell me that your weapon maker’s name is...”

“How’s it going? Have you found who you’re looking for yet?”

Manoch did not even finish his question properly, because Aerin walked in first. She clung to Manoch’s shoulders. Then she poked her head around, looking like she was not yet used to a crowded place like this.

“Not yet,” Shin answered.

“Well, you might want to hurry up. I’m afraid that we’d get into trouble if we stay here for too long.”

After speaking, Aerin pointed to the other side. Their eyes followed her and saw Waree in her boy version who seemed quite interested in those slot machines. Moreover, little Angie was sitting behind one of them, ready to play already.

“I think we already are,” Manoch said wryly. “Like come on, we’re not here to have fun. Since when did they go get the chips though? That was very fast of those two.”

“Leave them,” Shin replied, cutting off the annoyance. “We can find them ourselves. Miss Aerin, could you watch over those two and keep them from running around anymore, please? Also, try not to get into trouble.”

“Yes,” Aerin replied in a tired voice.

“Ae, you come with me. I think I know where they are now.”

“Huh? Yeah, yeah, oi, you don’t have to pull my arm.”

But Shin pulled his friend’s arm to walk away with him immediately, making Manoch whine after. Did he forget that he looked like a pretty woman at the moment?!

And damn, there were many guys along the way sending him a mean look right at him. But sure, whatever, it was once in a while for him to puff his chest out. It was not that bad as he pretended that he was with this beautiful girl. Huh! All the men were jealous of him now!

After the thoughts, this cheeky merchant curled up a mocking grin at those guys who were staring at them. Meanwhile, Shin was still holding his grip around his friend’s wrist, not knowing how much it made other people jealous!

“Are you sure it’s good to split our group up like this? I have a feeling that there will be trouble somehow, Shin.”

Manoch sped up his steps to speak closely to Shin’s ear.

“No, splitting up like this might be a good idea,” Shin replied with an emotionless face.

“Why is that?” Manoch asked.

“You’ll see.”

Manoch was stunned a little at his words, but then he curled up an amused smile with a throaty laugh. A second later, the slim figure ahead of him dragged him up the stairs to the third floor of the casino, going around the roulette tables zone, before stopping at a dice rolling table in front of them.

“Are you sure that we’re going in the right direction?” Manoch asked, sounding unsure.

“Yeah, I’m following the sound of the crowd.”

“Huh? What crowd?”

The more Shin talked, the more Manoch got confused. Sometimes he did not understand Shin’s words or actions at all, even though they had known each other for almost a year now. Ever since they went to the same tutorial school before taking university entrance tests until they got accepted to the same faculty from the same university, he still found it hard to catch up with the guy. Manoch doubted how many layers of processing there were in his brain exactly!

“Come on, just follow me. And don’t say anything, do you understand? They’re not so fond of guys, especially ones with common looks.”
