Chapter 415: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part IX

“It can transform, too, huh?”

BOOM!!!

Once again, the ship quacked from being attacked. Many of those in the N-1 started changing their forms to combat mode, too, now. Another thing that was remarkably changed was their speed which was reduced a lot, in exchange for a stronger attack and more accuracy!

“Captain, even though we don’t get any damage right now, our magic is going to be broken eventually, if they keep attacking like this.” Waree was the one who shouted in a high-pitched voice.

“Let me try attacking them,” Angie spoke up right after.

After the MAS said, the captain turned to look at her as she considered it for a moment. Then she nodded in agreement.

“Attack with a fire shot. Make it split into particles.” Maysa ordered.

“Certainly!”

The little mage responded, proceeding to work on her magic diffuser immediately. After that, a red aura started glowing brightly into a magic circle in the form of a six-pointed star that lightened up the whole room. A second later, an enormous fireball flew right at the flying group of enemies right away.

“Chief!!”

A player in the N-1 force shouted in panic like he never expected that such a large warship would be able to fire a magic ball out, too!

“Keep calm. It’s just a magic shot anyway. It can’t chase after us. Just concentrate and dodge it!”

The man who seemed to oversee the flying force yelled. His face looked a bit more tense as a wind blew against it. His eyes behind the goggles were focusing on the fire that was flying in their direction. And in that blink, he changed his vehicle’s form back to a flying motorcycle again!

RUMMBLEEE!!

The heat wave went past his body just a few inches away. Judging from the massive size of this magic, he did not have to guess if he would live after getting hit by this fireball.

“Woah! Well played.” Maysa spoke up, impressed. “Shifting forms according to the situation. Motorcycle mode for speeding up, and combat mode for steadiness and attack points. Not bad, not bad.”

She said with a smile that looked like she was happy for them, before glancing at Warunya once again.

“Did you record that?” Maysa asked.

“Yes, I did, with both attack points and its movement patterns.”

“Nice.”

BOOM!!!

Shortly after that, the Alexander was under attack again. This time it got shot in the back from the ground. The fire was catching up strongly, but, of course, the surface of the ship still did not get any damage.

“The turret again?” Maysa asked, scratching her cheek. “Can you confirm the location of the enemies’ turret yet?”

“Yes, they’re about 5 kilometers away in the south. 4 Wise Hown turrets with 1,450 damage points per shot.”

After hearing Aerin, the operator, Maysa curled up a satisfied smile right away. She had got all the information she needed now. The enemies’ strategy was cracked, so the last thing they needed was...

An epic opening scene.

“Alright, boys, are you ready?”

Maysa spoke up casually and not long after that a live image of two men appeared on the largest screen on the ship’s bridge. One of them was grinning brightly, moving his face to stare into his communication window. Meanwhile, the other one was standing with his back leaning against the wall, making a tense face like he was gathering his focus.

“We’ve been ready for a long time,” Wisana replied in a delighted voice.

“What’s the plan?” Shin asked in a gentle voice.

Maysa did not answer the question right away. She just looked at Warunya. The operator nodded before there were other information windows opening right in front of the men.

“That’s what you need to know. The information for Boss is the enemies’ movement and attack patterns, including the number of their weapons. There’re still many of the enemies out there, so I think that their plan is to capture us again. So, be careful. Whether we’ll be able to escape from them or not depends on you now.” She paused for a few seconds, before looking at Shin. “And yours is the location of the turrets. Get there and take care of them all as fast as you can. Try not to break them though. Just make them disable.”

Shin nodded confidently, while Wisana was closing his screens down. After that, he gave her a bright smile.

“Well then, good luck and have fun.”

The ejection tunnel was the spot where the players were sent to battlefields. It was built to have a powerful force that could launch the players out to the target area quickly and accurately. This was where Wisana and Shin were standing right now.

The tunnel was dark with green navigation lights along the way, making it look like a runway for a plane taking off into the sky.

“Are you sure that you’ll be okay? Your arms are still recovering from the curse, aren’t they?”

Wisana asked with an annoying face. And behind his information window, Shin snorted a breath out, before shaking his head slightly.

“Worry about yourself. My job is just to destroy the turrets. Don’t get shot down by those guys. It’ll be irritating going to save you.”

After getting a burning talk-back, Wisana clicked his tongue out of displeasure. Finally, he walked to stand on a base that looked like the starting point of a runner.

“Are you ready, Boss?”

Shortly after that, the sweet voice of Warunya spoke up, and Wisana let out a long sigh.

“Yes, I am.”

After the words, Wisana’s body started floating above the base. This was to put him in a weightless state before he got kicked out by a large amount of pressure, exactly like firing a bullet out of the chamber!

“The dropping spot depends on you to choose. Also, the flight path might have some obstacles, so please be careful. Ready to eject.”

Hearing that, Wisana took a deep breath. The gate by the end of the tunnel started opening as a glimpse of the bright sky appeared.

“To the new history, Vincent, lunch now!”

WEEEEEEESH!!

The sound of the wind was loud in his ears. His lips pressed together tightly as he was launching out to the wide indigo sky!

The red firing wings were spreading out in a bright spark. The man took a deep breath into his lungs. The freshness made him curl up a smile at the wind he had not touched for a long time, the freedom, and the actual fun.

“Now, this is what fun is!!”

The feisty one shouted aloud. His eyes were fixed on the enemies who were flying in the same sky as him. One moment later, Wisana launched himself toward them as his sword was summoned right into his rough hand.

In the blink of an eye, he slashed a gun of N-1 that was aiming at Alexander in half. Moreover, that caused a moderate-sized explosion, making enemies on every vehicle turn to see Wisana right in time!

“Chief, that is...!”

“Yeah, finally, he’s out. Don’t mind the ship anymore, target Vincent only!”

The order from the leader made everyone shift their vehicles’ form into motorcycle mode once again. They sped up, coming after Wisana who was hovering in the sky as if they were setting up checkpoints to surround him.

“Woah, I really am the best bait.”
