Chapter 399: The Real War Part I

Chapter 399: The Real War Part I

“YAAAAWN!”

The sound of yawning came as a tall man walked down from the second floor of the magic warrior office. His glossy black hair was now messy, and he looked exactly like someone who had just got out of bed.

He was in a thin white tank top. His shoulder was not covered in bandages anymore, so it was obvious that the wound he got from the battle was completely healed now. Those amber eyes then looked at a large old-fashioned clock in a corner of the guest room.

The hands were pointing to 9.20 a.m.

Seeing that, Wisana let out a soft sigh.

“Purple head William probably has been to the frontline by now.”

He did not sound like he cared about it that much as he spoke. After that, the tall man brought himself to the porch by the water, expecting to get some morning fresh air in his lungs. However, he had to raise his eyebrows and let out a throaty laugh instead.

“What? The battle starts at 10 a.m., doesn’t it? Why have all of you just started moving this late?”

Wisana creased his face.

What he was seeing was hundreds of players of William’s attack unit still marching out of the camp. Though it was not like travelling from here to Tristan was a long distance. It took about half an hour’s walk to get there.

But this was a war.

And a war required a lot of preparations to get the force in positions, strategies, and even set up traps, too.

But these guys had just left the camp when there was only an hour left to do all that?

Moreover, it was obvious from a quick glance that the players were not in a good state. Some of them were holding their heads like they were having a terrible headache.

“I think those guys’ condition is remarkably familiar. They look like they’re having a...”

“Hangover.”

A sweet voice of a girl completed the sentence for him. Wisana turned and saw Maysa following him out on the porch with two mugs of warm coffee in her hands,

He raised his eyebrows as he took one of the cups confusedly.

“You’re saying that those guys are hungover? They drank the night before battle?”

“Did you sleep soundly last night?” Maysa.

“Huh? Uh, yeah, I did. I was sleeping all night, and I woke up again just a while ago.”

“Good for you.” She said, taking a sip of her coffee. “I barely slept at all.”

“Why?” He raised his eyebrows, not following.

“Well, because those guys were having a party last night, and it was so loud and boisterous with booze and music. I even thought that I was lost somewhere in Silom!”

She said annoyedly, before letting out a long sigh. After that she opened her information window up, pushing it in front of her boyfriend with her other hand.

“Also, before you woke up, someone left you a message through our guild’s channel.”

“Who?”

Wisana sipped on his black coffee as he fished the screen to take a closer look.

Maysa rolled her eyes wearily before she briefly said.

“William.”

“Huh? He did?”

The man raised his voice, placing his coffee mug on the lounge chair, before sitting down and pressing the play button to listen to the message.

“Hello, Leader Vincent.”

A treble tone of voice rang up cheerfully, making the listener surprised as he could not guess what that guy was up to now.

“I’d like to thank you for your little cheer-up party. It actually made my people get a lot more relaxed.”

“Party?”

Wisana raised his eyebrows confusedly, his eyes glancing at the people this guy mentioned in the voice message. Okay, if by cheer-up he meant how those players walking out of the camp with hands rubbing their heads and expressions looking like they were ready to fall face down on the ground any time, then Wisana was happy for them that they were relaxed this much now.

“And about the apology you sent me, I’d gladly accept it. Well, since you paid hundreds of thousands to treat my people at the party. Also, since Miss Waree came to ask me to forgive you in person like that.”

“Did Nam do what?”

That was once again that Wisana did not understand anything this guy was saying at all. His amber eyes looked up at his lover for clues, but Maysa only shrugged, not understanding it either.

“Anyway, please move the items we harvested to the south for now. I’ll try discussing whether to have the Nemesis guild in the battles again or not in the meeting later. By the way, I’d like to thank you so much for sending Miss Waree to take care of me so well. Please tell her I’ll be back to her as soon as possible. Goodbye.”

“The heck is up with him?”

He still had no clues about what the guy talked about.

Especially the thing about Waree, what did his sister have anything to do with this?

“I’ll explain briefly,” Maysa spoke in a stiff voice. “Last night, you hosted a party, spending a huge amount of our guild’s money to treat players from William’s guild. Alcoholic drinks, food, and all those party supplies, you were balling for them as an apology for your rude manners toward him earlier.”

“I did that?!!”

Wisana yelled, pointing a finger at himself with surprise.

“Listen till the end.” Maysa scolded. “That guy now understands that you’ve finally surrendered to him and that you’re ready to combat as he orders without resisting anymore.”

“Is he dreaming?!”

“I’m not finished,” Maysa said wearily. “Don’t be so shocked. This was all Ae.”

“Ae did what?”

“Last night, I saw him acting suspiciously with Mek alone. So, I guessed this is what they were up to. He probably went to Nam and asked her to help, too, since we all know that William is crazy for her.”

“But what did he do all this for? There’s no need to act like we please that kind of guy. We’re about to do our plan about that today anyway.”

Wisana asked with an upset face. The point about how he just apologized and surrendered to that William guy without his consent was nothing. But that one thing he could not accept was Nam taking care of William in private!!

“HRRR, we can see the sunlight finally. That was exhausting.”

“The morning light feels so good, like damn.”

At the moment he thought about some witty guys, they just appeared for him to see right away.

Manoch was walking inside the magic warrior office with Mek. Both Wisana and Maysa turned to them, who just got here. Seeing that, Wisana’s nerves then started twitching right away.

“Ae!!”

“Yes, Bro!”

The one who got called jumped, glancing to the porch and seeing that his leader who rarely yelled his name so scarily sitting there.

Those amber eyes were staring at him.

And that was all to make Manoch swallow, turning to the one next to him with a withering face.

“He surely knows,” Mek whispered.

“On top of that, he finds out about Nam now.”

“A million percent sure.”

“Hello everyone, now, you’re with me in the territorial sky of Tristan. What you’re going to see is a live broadcast from the war. The situation here is incredible when both the red and blue army read each other’s minds again and now are moving their forces to claim Tristan.”

The melodic voice of a reporter with a bowl haircut and safety clothes came from a helicopter flying above Tristan.

“Another battle is about to begin?”
