Chapter 393: Mission to Steal the Crystal (1) Part IV
Chapter 393: Mission to Steal the Crystal (1) Part IV
Two days on the battlefield had passed quickly like a rocket. After the first messy, intense battle, everything went back on back on track once again. The areas that the red pirates had claimed could provide a lot more than they expected, including various kinds of minerals, herbs, quality monster hunting areas, and even raw ingredients for cooking.
Even though the red army got that number of resources back in the base after harvesting them for two days, none of them were shared with the Nemesis guild. Of course, the one who made the guild left out could not be anyone else but William, of the Willam Star guild.
“You took a lot of items from my guild already, and how are you so bold asking for your share? Leave alone the fact that you failed to claim the major area, I think there are enough reasons why your guild should not have the right to these resources.”
The guy said in the meeting on the second day. After hearing that, instead of getting upset, Wisana and Maysa barely reacted. They just smiled wide even. And that was why William felt quite frustrated.
And in this meeting, the red pirates had assigned the duties for each unit and where they were stationed at as the following,
----------------
Unit Leader - Station and Number of players
----------------
1. Valentine - Tristan’s frontline (559 players)
2. William - Tristan’s frontline (868 players)
3. Viper - Tristan’s frontline (489 players)
4. Clodie - Albasta’s support unit (241 players)
5. Trevor - Albasta’s support unit (178 players)
6. Sumit - Albasta’s support unit (146 players)
7. Vincent - Aeneas’s items guarding unit (562 players)
8. (None) - Venesia, waiting to get called for support.
----------------
And the next plan had been announced clearly that the red pirates wanted to invade Tristan Capital as fast as possible. Valentine expected that the other army was aiming for the capital as well, so she thought it would be best to act first. Also, her intelligence unit confirmed that the blue warriors had started spying around Tristan’s area as well.
So, as the leader of the red pirates, she quickly commanded everyone to be assigned their responsibilities as briefly as possible. As expected, the Nemesis guild was assigned in unit seven which had the least role in the army, which was carrying the resources they had harvested to Aeneas in the south.
Needless to say, William intentionally tried to kick the Nemesis out of the war by this item moving mission and keeping them safe in the furthest south of the country. But for real, the war had just started for a few days, how would there be an enemy spying in their army this fast? Also, an item moving unit did not need this enormous number of 562 players either.
But after Maysa thought about this, these 562 players were the ones that Willam was not interested in or the ones that were in his way, so he purposely kicked them out of the war as far as possible.
“And after we move the items to Aeneas, may I ask what’s your next plan for the Nemesis?”
Maysa asked, intentionally faking a smile. She looked at this jerk Willam, but the one who was asked did not change his expression at all. He was still smiling widely, then he shrugged.
“Well, I’ll probably have the guild wait for the next order. We might call you in to join us after we plan our next move.”
Listening to that, Maysa cracked out a throaty laugh. She faked a sweet-looking smile and said, “Understood.” easily. Meanwhile, Wisana did not say anything at all. He just looked at Valentine and smiled to imply something to her.
Of course, their reactions made William surprised. He was expecting that these two would object to it, but that did not happen. They seemed humble and did not argue about anything at all. He even prepared other unit leaders to go against them like earlier. But they did not complain, so it was easy for him as well.
“So, how are we going to deal with the crystals?”
Valentine was the one mentioning another important issue. If speaking about the result of the war, those crystals were the most important key. Each army got three pieces of the crystals, and the red pirates had not yet discussed how to deal with them.
For the blue warriors, Maysa was sure that they would be shared perfectly, the first one to Lavi, the second one to Sven, and the last probably to Marcus. And the three would make the best use and worth out of the crystals in the war surely.
What about her side though?
Maysa though, glancing at William’s face, looking fed-up.
“One piece will definitely be yours, Miss Valentine.”
William spoke up. He knew that nobody would disagree with this. Also, he thought that it would be a good idea if one of these important crystals was under Valentine’s care since she was one of the four gods as well, and her people were totally all like monsters.
“Right, that’s what I thought as well.” Valentine accepted it confidently. “But what about the other two? I suggest we keep one in a safe place with high protection and give the other one to leader Vincent to take care of it.”
Both Wisana and Maysa were stunned.
They were not expecting Valentine to toss a bomb at him like this.
And of course, the bomb had made William act up.
“I don’t think that’s a clever idea.” He yelled out aloud. “Leader Vincent is still too inexperienced in the war. I don’t believe that he’d be able to take care of an important crystal.”
“But I think that how he got away from that life-and-death situation in the battle is enough proof that experience is not necessary for him. And I completely believe that if it was somebody else targeted by Sven, no one would be able to deal with it better than Leader Vincent did.”
After speaking, Valentine glanced at Wisana who was sitting across from her. The one who was stared at let out a sigh, before shrugging in response.
“Miss Valentine, this war isn’t a sandbox to play nor a stage for a talent show. Everything involves us all, and of course, we all want victory. Personally, I won’t trust our lives or the crystals that have everyone’s hope in them on someone who failed in just a simple war plan.”
After his words, Wisana whistled out in the middle of the meeting room, drawing everyone’s attention to him.
If there were a Nobel Prize for “Mouth skill,” this guy would have won without any competition. He thought as he curled up a smile, scratching the nape of his neck.
Good speech. Dude should have been a politician!
“Well, it’s probably true like he said, Leader Valentine,” Wisana spoke. “This is everyone’s war, not a place to show off one’s skills. We need to work together, without trying to obstruct each other and get credit for ourselves, right, Leader William?”
The last sentence was stressed in a firm voice, making the entire room look at each other awkwardly. Only Viper, the man with black, slicked hair to open his forehead and strange-looking red-colored lens glasses, burst out a loud laugh without respecting anyone.
Meanwhile, the one who got nagged like William did not react. He was just smiling in understanding.
“That’s right, Leader Vincent.”
“I know right.” Wisana winked in reply.
Not only was this guy so bold, but he was also shameless, too!
Getting insulted like that, he still did not care at all. Wisana only smiled amusedly at William, thinking that it was kind of funny that this kind of person existed, too. This guy was probably the most shameless man on the planet, heaven, and hell. Wisana had to admit that!
“For that reason, Leader Valentine, I don’t want the crystal. It’s up to the army to decide. Like he said, I’m new in this war, and the crystals are our hope. I wouldn’t be confident to carry it with me.”
