Chapter 391: Mission to Steal the Crystal (1) Part II
Chapter 391: Mission to Steal the Crystal (1) Part II
“Boss?” Bhira said.
“You’ve got quite a mouth.” Sven did not mind the other man next to him, because his eyes were only on the woman in front of him as he felt more interested in her.
“About the clothes, sorry that I wasn’t the one who changed it, even though you really wanted to show yourself off to me. And to be honest, your body isn’t the type that turned me on, especially not with the flat chest like a chopping board like that.”
“You!”
Nuchjaree bawled out aloud, putting her arms up to cover her chest unintentionally. Also, her cute face was clearly turning red.
“Miguel is the one who changed your clothes.”
Sven said, pointing his thumb over his shoulder for Nuchjaree to see. The woman in a complete coat then curtsied a little. Making her click her tongue out of annoyance.
“So, it’ll be useless if you kill yourself.” Sven continued. “See that bracelet on your wrist? I invented them to set the respawn location for players when they die, and the one you’re wearing is set to be here in this town. This item is suitable for those who don’t like buying portal scrolls, and for keeping a prisoner like you hostage the most.”
After listening to the explanations, Nuchjaree grabbed the bracelet on her wrist right away. Her thin hand was trying to take it off, but it was useless. She thought that it was locked with some sort of curse that made the player unable to remove equipment or weapons.
“You probably know that you can’t take it off.”
‘Of course!’ She shouted in her mind.
Since the woman was the type that never gave up, she started looking around to find her escape route. However, the harder she looked, the more she felt desperate. Because, if she had to guess, this place was definitely Athenia Tower in Dores.
“So, you know that it’s pointless to resist. Let’s talk this through nicely, shall we, Miss?”
Sven said gently. The tall one started walking toward that arrogant woman slowly. And she was shocked. Never expecting the man to ignore her threat and come closer like this.
It was true that he was blocking all her ways out.
But a person like her would never surrender to anyone that easily, ever!
“I told you to not come closer. You jerk are deaf?”
Nuchjaree shouted aloud. She was holding her hand out in front to stop him and looking like she was about to get over the border. Seeing that, Sven paused for a moment, and Bhira had already started screaming.
“Hey! Don’t do something stupid, Nuchjaree. He just told you that it’d be useless, didn’t he? You’re just going to hurt yourself for nothing because you’ll be back injured in this room again in a few minutes after that. It’s not worth being stubborn like this.”
“Shut up!”
She snapped, before turning to stare at Sven.
“Okay, you’ve totally read it all through, Sven. You really are the black bullet of Cataral.” Nuchjaree smiled softly at the other. "You want to keep me here to be a bird in a gold cage. But I am sorry. A woman like me will never let any man touch me that easily.”
Those words were spoken fearlessly. Their eyes caught each other for a moment. And Sven could tell instantly that the other was serious because there was no doubt flashing in her eyes at all.
“Don’t do something stupid,” Sven said again in a serious voice.
“Yes, I will. I’ll jump off and die down right on the spot down there. But if I survive, I’ll escape from here.”
She said, climbing to stand on the balcony border right away. A delightful smile and a pretty dimple were brought across her cute face. Seeing that, Sven let out a brief sigh.
His expression changed. His smile was up as well, it was as if he wanted to challenge the other.
“Well, sure, show me. But for the record, you can never escape me.”
“Huh?” Nuchjaree raised her voice. “Don’t dare me, I’m totally going to do it!”
The man cracked out a chuckle. He started stepping in again after stopping still for a while.
“What are you waiting for, Miss? I’ll repeat myself again, you can never escape me.” He said before those sharp ruby eyes stared right back at Nuchjaree, making her unknowingly swallow her saliva. “I’m not going to let you go.”
It did not take long for him to get to the balcony. Their distance was shortened to about a few inches away. Their eyes looked at each other once again as their smiles became wider as well.
“So, stop thinking about doing useless things, and get back down.”
Sven spoke. He held his hand out to her like he wanted to support her down safely.
Nuchjaree looked at his hand consideringly. And in the end, she sighed, before shaking her head slowly.
“Well, sorry.”
After her words, Nuchjaree let herself fall from the balcony with an emotionless face. She barely had a fear in her system, even. After her body disappeared from his sight, Sven frowned his eyebrows tightly and ground his teeth.
“You silly!” He shouted aloud.
At that moment, he decided to jump off the balcony with her.
“Boss!!”
He heard Bhira’s voice behind him, but Sven did not care. The only thing he cared about at the moment was that corky girl, the impulsive one who never thought before she acted!
Meanwhile, Nuchjaree who was falling from the 40th floor closed her eyes slowly, the cold breeze in the night was blowing past her fast. Her body felt so light right now, barely feeling anything at all.
She was totally going to die.
From this height, even her friend Wisana would not make it either.
Then why did she jump? Was it because of the ego that she needed to show them that she was not the type to give in so easily?
No...
It was more because of that guy. His eyes looked confident that she would not dare do something like this. It was that Sven guy. She did not like those eyes at all, the eyes that looked like they could see what others were thinking!
So, this was the reason why she jumped...
Nuchjaree, you silly. You were just as crazy as Tunwa said.
Who said she was fearless? She feared, but she was just not yelling.
But there was nothing she could do now, she guessed.
CLANK!
Suddenly, Nuchjaree heard the sound of a metal chain being pulled. Instead of feeling the pain from falling and dying, her body paused in the middle of the air like she was just pulled up harshly.
She then felt the warmth of someone against her as a gentle voice rang up softly.
“I never thought that a small girl like you could be this impulsive.”
Nuchjaree paused at that. She opened her eyes a little, turning to look at someone who jumped off the balcony to save her with surprise. He jumped down with something that was probably a chain that hooked to the balcony bordering, and now he was carrying her with one hand.
His strong arm was holding around her waist, pushing her close to his body firmly as well. When they caught eyes this close, Nuchjaree started blushing. She pressed her lips together tightly and turned her face away.
“And a guy like you is so pestering.”
She said in a frustrated voice. But hearing that, Sven let out a throaty laugh right away.
“I told you that I’m not going to let you go, didn’t I?”
He whispered to her ear. This stranger suddenly gave her a weird feeling. It was both frustrating and upsetting that she wanted to slap this guy’s face just once. But somehow, there was something holding her back just like that!
“Now, can you stop being stubborn?” Sven asked. “Doing this won’t make you achieve anything, let’s get back up there and talk. We’ll find you something to eat. I have a lot to discuss with you.”
